This is where you screwed up. RES is a tank stat and Barbarians are awful tanks, they're better off as DPS. I'm running a Barb with 21 MIG, 16 DEX, 15 INT and he's liquifying everything on Hard. Armor is similarly useless on a Barb since it only slows them down. Have a Fighter or Paladin tank, let the Barbarian kill stuff. Also Barbaric Yell sucks. Agreed. Matt 516, for a Barbarian you should go Moon godlike Max Might and Dex 15 Int for a neat Carnage bonus (+30% AoE) 10 Con (default) Either dump Res and Per, or reduce each by 1-2 points Cheers. Forget about most bugs, limerick stones, messed up attributes or auto-leveling companions. (Obviously you really need to fix Raedric's Hold bug and the Sanitarium.) But this is all fixable and some are really trivial. Everything else e.g. certain design decisions are a matter of taste. But there is one thing that is most noticeable of all, and has the biggest impact on the game. Absolutely. Outrageous. Class. and Race. Balance. Seriously. I only make Moon Godlikes. And Orlans. And I only make Ciphers, Chanters, Fighters and Druids. Sometimes Priests. Why would I make a barbarian? Or ranger? Or monk? Or a dwarf? Or a human? Or an elf? Role play reasons? So the game can give me cancer? No thanks. If I want cancer Ill just go play Temple of Elemental Evil or Wizardry 8. Or Dota 2 for that matter. Do you see the problem here Obsidian? Just tried it out deleting the the .fog and .lvl files in the basement next to the stairs and upstairs next to the stairs. Unfortunately, neither worked. Maybe remove this so others don't lose time on it too? Thanks for analyzing the problem though! I meant to say delete the .fog and .lvl files of the Sanitarium main floor, NOT basement. Sorry about that. Ill ask a mod to edit the post. You also need to make a savegame in the basement next to the stairs, before deleting those. Then load the game and go upstairs. It should work. And remember to back up your saves.

It's not very smart to judge a system by its opposition alone. Opposition is a wide spectrum. Usually the loudest (e.g people who hate it) are seldom a valid standard of measure.

If there's one thing democracy doesn't do; it's favor minorities. Of course. In theory. But that's not how it works in practice. Democracy tends to get more and more liberal over long periods of time. Eventually a liberal democracy will come full circle - as it is today - and will , surprisingly enough, switch to favoring minorities on grounds of discrimination, social justice and social equality. A good example in the West are members of the LGTB movement or immigrants, who in practice may often have greater privileges than regular citizens. Though this can greatly vary from state to state.
