Ok, so i tried playing (like hour and half) with arbalest and i dont see any diference.i didnt get any prone, but i didnt noticed any less dmg.-BUT!- What if there is a wizard.Its better to let him go with scepter and talents like blast and pene. blast?Along with weapon focus. What if priest go Magran with inspired flame?+10 acc. is pretty big deal i think.

Disclaimer : I know that Stronghold shouldnt even be in game.It was thanks to massive support on kickstarter.That doesnt mean its should be lifeless. So, i just repaired everything i could in my stronghold (and descend about 8 lvls in endless path).When i travel to it, i expect something.A cutscene, event, or even few lines...Nothing I realy hoped i could customized the look of stronghold, its halls.I hoped that Library, prison or lab will be interactive.I realy looked foward some personal chamber where i could stash all my special weapons etc.. Atacks on my keep are futile, only serve as anoyance because i had to re-hire my hirelings.Even if i defend it myself, they are all dead.Wardens bounties are challenging, nothing else.Only good thing is random creature parts and plants for my enchanting. How can i enjoy my stronghold more?Will there be any change in course of story (im 9 lvl)?What do you do in your stronghold?

People, these are companions.Their purpose is to guide you trough story, give you some information, and provide lore, humor and immersion.Why are you so obsessed with their atributes, skills and tallents? If this is your first playtrough, just forget all about min/maxing, effective builds, and sqeezing the last drop of efficency.I am pretty sure i ****ed up character creating since i forbid myself to gather any info before i play it trough at least once.And guys what, my party is capable.Enjoy your experience with this beautiful game... If this is your 2nd, hire adventurer or even better create one trough console (I dont know why i should be penalized by playing with party of my choosing).

I thought about that.But since we talk about range chanter, he wont be much of a use in terms of invocations (maybe summons) since he wont reach the front lines.I would take druid instead (bear) .He will be much usefull, and can shapeshift in case of some mob break trough tank.

I actualy keep enchanting my gear if i know that i wil use it.Like fullplate alrmor, big shield, firearms, or weapons if i have specilization. If you enchant your weapon with elemental damage, kith slaying and fine (then exeptional as you progress) its actualy pretty good.I have lot of unique weapons, but using only few of them since mine enchanted are better for what my class is for.

Changed reload speed multiplier from 2 to 1.2 for Sure-Handed Ila. Ok, so there will be a nerf.I admit that im using my chanter for nothing more that summoning, chanting this phrase and shooting along with other gun-crazed team members.4 people with guns...Thats a lot of reloads.And it is realy effective.I dont say that this will broke chanters.But it will move them down in class tier... What about you?Will you still include chanter in your party?Will you respec him into off tank? Personaly i think i will give druid a try

Please no, the micromanagement is fun element.The fact that you can choose target is why summons are so powerfull because you can focus your power on 1 target or tank with summons. i don't think you played baldur's gate much? you aren't understanding. you can micro control your summons. they just don't grant vision, so you can't use them away from the party (without using a scouting spell at least), you can only control them in the area where you have vision. but this way you can't use summons as scouts or send 6 summons to go fight while you sit at the dungeon entrance. Oh...was it icewind dale then?When they just run around you looking for targets?

Sorry but I don't agree with most of what you just posted. Maxing INT is required for a class with AOE spells. Saying that you can't reach both front and back lines and then using that as an argument not to max INT on a chanter is just silly imo. I'm currently running a chanter as my main and I don't have this issue. Positioning is simple to achieve. You don't need 2 tanks, you need 1 and possibly an off-tank. If mobs break through it'll be at the start of the fight. So depending on summons that you need about 15 seconds or more to get to stop those mobs isn't realistic. I've posted a link above to a few chanter builds. What you describe seems to be one of them but I would recommend you watch the video to better understand the class we're discussing. Chanters are easy to screw up. They are not simple to make. Once properly made however, they are easy to play since they don't require much macro. As i sad, my chanter is ranged.So, he is in group of back ranged dps/casters.He wont by any means reach with debuff chants onto enemies, even with max INT.Sadly, the boost of chant range is so small its not worth it. You do need 2 tanks.Not whole PoE is hallway, and when you play on hard, or progress trough game, 2 tanks are essencial.If you make offtank, by the time you need 2nd tank you end with 1/2 tank.Not mentioning combat status that could disrupt your tank.I usualy have 2 tanks, both 2handed weapons as their second weapon.When one doesnt take dmg, he switch to bigger weapon for more dmg. Yes, you can make relatively good offtank chanter, but why do it if he has more potentional as heavy gunner...boosting all of your 2nd row of other ranged dps

I dont think he should max out INT.I made a same mistake.There is a thread explaining all, but basicly you cant reach both fronts with your chant even on max int, and durration of linger also remain mostly unaffected.And he dont have that many stunt invocation that would require max out INT 1st, create 2 tanks of your chosing.Might be fighter and paladin.So you dont need an off tank.If some mobs break trough, you got your summon spells wich are great btw.And great thing about summons, is that they are unaffected by atributes and last till they die.I would choose phantom. 2nd, make chanter ranged.MAX out MIG/DEX.Give him arquebuse, solider tallent, gunnery (also that two handed talent dont work for ranged).Skip healing talents.What you be focusing at is buffing ranged speed of all back row of ranged dps with Ila Knocked chant (And i didnt seen any nerf in 1,03 patch list ).Leave CON as it is, The rest is basicly up to you.Chanter isnt hard when it comes to building...or playing :D Edit : Neat thing about rannge chanter is that you wont be chanting so many (usualy 1 or2) chants.No debufs, no long chants.So you rank up quickly and you can use those invokation sooner in battle.

I must agree to topic.There are so many wizard buff spells that target only caster.Spirit shield, ironskin etc... if we could buff target, not just caster, wizard would have amazing sellection of buffs.So why force almost all buff spells to be just caster target?There is no way we can build melee wizard.Forget spellsword, not happening in PoE. My point is that game mechanics is about front line of tanks holding mobs, and second row casting/ranged dps.If mob reaches you dps, you doing something wrond.Yes, i know.Sometimes its inevitable, but that what mirror immage is for or arcane assault. Btw, anyone else think that mirror immage should be free disengage card?

Idea is having heavy front fighters, and ligh back casters.The more heavier armor you have, the more slower you action is.It could easily slow your heal spell so by the time you cast it, it would be already too late. But it would be awesome.Mine NPC priest is magran folower, and she would look realy great with heavy armor!

As i spend time in game and on this forum, i realize (and i stand by it) that points spend in COn will have less impact on performance that spended somewhere else.I play on hard as cipher, and i dump all his CON to 3, running with padded armor.I am squishy, but no less than 10 CON.Fighter will have enough health already, and any points beside standart 10 is a waste imho.

Also, i got inspired flame tallent on my priest.+10 acc is huge deal, and spell is quite handy too. Also i should mention i will play (after patch) on Ironman.It feel somehow...more intense.Even if i know i can load last autosave

Ok so i checked druid in game and on wiki.Druid have heal, yea.But only at distance around caster.Thats hard to use and uneffective.And i dont know what difficulties you play on, but i heal a LOT on hard...

Realy?Kick out priest?Even on hard?I found some (most) of his heals realy effective.Not so much his Holy radiance, because i am often out of reach of mobs or even tanks. Also, i experienced druid only trough Hiravias, and i must say that his abilities are weird mix.I would rather have cipher as cc/dmg and wizard for dmg/cc
