They don't have to explain themselves to anyone except the person affected. It does not affect the game in shape whatsoever, so why do they need to put into the patch notes? Self entitled people round here are as bad as the stupid moron on twitter who started all this. The fact that we are BACKERS and we didn't feel there was any need to remove it as demonstrated in these very forums warranted, at the very least, an honest discussion with us regarding this before the removal. They could also address why they opted to remove it instead of the many alternatives, like promoting with the means of a sticky of the user-made mod that removes it or adding a toggle to remove triggering content. It would be nice if they explained HOW that was offensive as well, considering it got past their veto process before (and its insulting to our intelligence to tell us it simply got past their checks). I don't know, being the very people who made this game a possibility makes me think they could at the very least be open with us, and establish some dialogue instead of appeasing people who are not even backers of this game (as evidenced by those twitter misandrists not even having forum accounts here). It's even more insulting that they NEVER allowed us to toggle off ALL backer content as widely requested before by people who actually owns the game, but will listen to a twitter hatemob at the drop of a hat. By the way, we were ALL affected by this. Not sure if you realize, but the patch changes the content of the game we all have installed. Oh so because you're a backer, that makes you entitled does it? I'm sorry, I forgot being a backer meant you had direct input into the business of Obsidian and what happens to the game. As for content, meaningless, irrelevant and would not change the game in the slightest if it was never there. You pledged to get the game made. You got the game. You mean certain attributes being ignorable/dumps, others being mandatory? I'd like to try Perception as Accuracy again, since I wasnt a beta tester. But apparently that made it a must-have stat as well. And Im told that since it once governed bonus accuracy, Sagani for instance has alot more than usual and her stats werent changed after that nerf pre-release.

The nerf to the reload song is gonna be rough. Not so sure if Kama is worth hauling with me now :\ Maybe 1.5 instead of all the way to 1.2 would be more reasonable.

Regarding the age of animancy (and not to use this as a counterpoint, just something to note), the Engwithans's were apparently a race that was super advanced in Animancy (obviously ), but not particularly astounding in other fields. If you inspect their shields and weapons you get off destroyed Anima's for instance you find the metalwork is described as inferior to what you'd see today. I thought this was interesting, as it helped move away from the "ancient super civilization" trope that plagues alot of settings. They were pretty normal, just they had this one niche they were unparalleled at.

It strikes me that Eothas' actions MAY have been some sort of unplanned scenario possibly as well, and Magran reacted in the way she was meant to given her role/portfolio, but against an enemy that wasnt 100% expected from the "conception" of the Gods by Thaos' people. At creation, nobody expected a scenario to arise in which a God would act in such a way to step outside the bounds of its defined role, but that ended up happening. After all, they've each got their own role to fill. They wont really overlap, will they? Magran, sadly, remained in hers and smoked Eothas. I interpret this as a kind of "CODE RED! CODE RED!" for the Leaden Key and Thaos. And they had to kick it up a notch to try and cover the potential for someone to notice something which would in turn lead to the whole revealing of the Gods nature. My interpretation may fall flat though, since it really dehumanizes the Gods to such a degree that they're little more than robots performing their respective "divine" tasks for all eternity even if it has caused an error or flaw to occur that will snowball out of control and reveal their true existance. Perhaps Woedica's resignation/removal from the whole pantheon could have removed a manner of safeguard meant to prevent God on God violence too?

What does cheesing mean? I tanked it with one fighter and rest of my party surrounded it from all sides and hacked away, because my characters were surrounding it, only one got hit at a time. Tank needed 5 major endurance potions to keep alive. Only 2 other characters were hit and both stayed alive barely. My apologies then. It seems you fought em tooth and nail, and came out as the last man standing. Cheesing would just be folks getting it caught in terrain etc to kill it. Also my original comment was more of a joke than anything, didnt mean any offense

Sorry about your treatment regarding your review, OP. A friend of mine is having similar experience regarding reviews etc he's wrote with a different game. Manchildren gonna be manchildren, I guess.
