[The Handmaiden has joined your party. She has Echani defense, which protects her against melee attacks, and is an excellent unarmed fighter.] She's got no such things as a feature or a power that would meet that line above, no trace of that in the combat feedback either. Am I missing something?

Atris to the Handmaiden
Knights&Darths replied to Knights&Darths's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Strangely enough when you leave the accademy and the handmaidens ask Atris about their missing sister, that dialog does contain an alternative course in which Atris says: Atris: I sent her to travel with the exile. She may discover something I cannot. Handmaiden Sister: Mistress, the last of the Handmaidens - she is willful, and she has demonstrated a... fascination with Jedi. It may not have been w- Atris: I know what I have done. But it was necessary. there is no conditional, no faulty script, it's something that was simply dropped, the question is why - maybe the writer wanted to make Kreia's hold over Atris clear from the beginning. It was somewhat confusing though. -
Was Atris manipulated into sending the Handmaiden to travel with the Exile? While the Handmaiden says her mistress sent her - she says that both to the Exile on the Ebon Hawk and to Atris herself when she gets back at the accademy with Kreia - her sisters are told she left on a whim. Do you think Kreia made Atris do that so as to have a way back to the accademy? Atton realizes as much after the gathering on Dantooine but there is still some confusion as to whether or not Atris was actually tricked, when the Handmaiden joins the party Kreia doesn't seem to be pleased, was that an act?

A waste? Perhaps, like Kreia says, if the Exile hadn't turned away from the Force and followed Revan in the Jedi Civil War she would have learned the lesson of a follower, and been nothing more than that, maybe it was for the best for her Disciple as it was for the Exile that he chose otherwise. Besides, the task to stop the Sith on Dxun can be appointed to him, in that case his training would have made him up to the challenge and turned the tied of the conflict on Onderon. I trust your exile has taught you restraint and discipline in the ways of the flesh, but I cannot help but hear you guys at times, and such curious thoughts they are, not at all like a Jedi. Those indignities have no place in this galaxy, that is but my opinion of course and obviously I may be mistaken. -
Whoa, you're used to get chewed out around here or something? Monty Python, right ) I was unsatisfied with the ending the first time, then played again paying more attetion to the details and all made sense, then things that ain't in the game were declared to be canon and I have since played an officially uncomplete game growing more disappointing as I think how well did they do in screwing up what was going to be the best game ever made. I don't feel any urge to make fun of it, however.

No need to snap. Indeed that's what he says yet the condition the Exile put into place was clear:Disciple: -

Why so many against Disciple? He's a soldier and can pull his weight in a fight, he's got plenty to talk about and while he may be the good doctor eventually you can get him to embrace the Sith so he's open minded. -
Ideas for a new character.. needed =P

Some things to consider -
dark side features ain't good looking, that's for sure, and being a Jedi or a Sith does not make one cool, what matters is always the man

Favorite Sith from Kotor
Knights&Darths replied to Master Douglass's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
A fine moderator will hopefully remove that unsavory spam of oversized pictures. As for the poll, I wouldn't place Revan and Kreia in there, it may be a debatable point but they're Gray Jedi, the Sith title is just too limiting for them. However, since none of them was above acting like a Sith when the need arose I see nothing wrong in a comparison with full time Sith like Sion and the others. Therefore my vote goes to the old queen, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, none of the others could ever be as acidly evil, diabolically intelligent and strong in the Force, and none of them had even half of her pride and resourceful winning resolve, I mean she gets exiled by the Jedi and the Sith, stripped of her connection to the Force, gimped and sight impaired, the Exile even cuts her remaing hand off, and she keeps coming, deadlier than before. Malak was the worst of the above, while it's a tough fight with Sion at least he was conscious to be but a pawn to Kreia yet kept fighting to achieve being something more under her tutelage, like the weak who struggle are better than the strong who won't understand their weaknesses. Malak was true to his own strengths but he should have focused them against the Jedi, not the Republic, and knowing Revan had escaped death he should have seen it coming that the Force was bringing them to a confrontation and destroy him by any means necessary before he had a chance to become strong again. Nihilus is a nihilist, like Smith in Matrix Revolutions, a defeated personality to begin with, just waiting to be put out of his misery, he's just a McGuffin who may have been far more interesting had the game been longer, and if he actually even spoke one clear word. Revan is a hero, the kind that not only doesn't fear to dirty his hands for the greater good, he does it head high right as rain, bearing dark side features as an honorable veteran would his war wounds. The Exile still had her doubts about this kind of path before her journey would regain her her connection to the Force but she didn't have Revan's training when she left for the Mandalorian Wars, old queen would change that and have better results though I think Revan, from what we are given to know, had more chances to be stained by his crimes during the wars so if I were to say which of them had more blood on their hands I would say Revan. -
It looks like you have to make a choice, the quick way is that you tell me a single force power you have and I'll rewrite a script so that when you activate that power T3 becomes available again (then you just save the game, quit the game, remove the file from your override folder and run the game again), but beware, that way probably leads to the same trouble the next time you play through, it doesn't fix anything. Or you may take the longer road: you ask Holowan Labs. It should be really a simple trick to fix this but one would have to guess what's the faulty script, maybe someone there knows something about this already, give it a try.
-
Try better equipment or better weapon/armor upgrades, and use stims and melee shields.
-
hmm, it could be a number of possible scripts, provided he really is in the party table no more, and I never heard of this particular bug, I would advise you to check out Holowan Labs and ask there for a modder to fix this for you if you're not a modder yourself. But first, tell me, when you go to the party selection screen, do you see T3's portrait? Maybe is just not selectable, in that case his equipment and levelups are not lost. Oh and by the way, welcome.

On Peragus you lose contact with T3 when HK-50 blows him up with an ion charge, you find him after the Harbinger, in the fuel line. On Telos he gets confiscated by Grenn and stolen by Handmaidens shortly after, along with the Ebon Hawk, you find him sitting in a force cage in the ice accademy, by the hangar, you can't escape him, if he's not there I fear you've got a bugged script.

My thoughts exactly, I also liked the fact that he's basicly an evil accountant droid, a rich fat old Mr.Potter or as Luxa says: "rigid, ruthlessly efficient, and all he sees are numbers". It's fun when he squeezes credits out of people (Jorran, Ralon, Saedee, Tolas'droid on Onderon) and he's not all berating as people seem to think, like with Kreia, like with everyone actually, you just have to play a bit like them for they to appreciate. Anyway my vote goes to T3, that old beeping and booping battered trash collector gets too many upgrades and stat improvements, I suppose they were necessary - along with his Kotor cameos and the multiple crucial missions he's involved with from the starting of the game (though I hate to say this because I really loved the Prologue) - to make him survive among assassination protocols, stealth using droids, multiclass mine-immune epic blaster-wielders -

Knights&Darths replied to Knights&Darths's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
well Handmaidens were not just to serve Atris in the Accademy, she sent Brianna to Dantooine to search the ruins of the enclave so they must have at least one ship, she also sent a handmaiden to Telos to steal the Ebon Hawk. {Quiet, she already searched the ruins}I'd be surprised if the ruins have any holocrons left. They are rare - and others have no doubt been thorough in searching the ruins. well it certainly seems they had in mind a love story (dialog lines bear comments that don't show up in-game) {Slight bitterness, doesn't want to admit she loved the player}The Jedi have no such attachments. {Gameplay Programmer: Atris begins to use force lightning on the Handmaiden, again and again.}Did you have feelings for him? Did you touch him, did you look upon him with love? -
Help with Vaklu vs Talia quest
Knights&Darths replied to riblo baldfeet's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
that is strange, i have a savegame so i checked and it seems only lightsabers can go through that, or Bao-Dur, mines don't work. do you have a melee weapon equipped? if so try using just one lightsaber. -

KotoR 3: Ideas, Suggestions, Discussion
Knights&Darths replied to LadyCrimson's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
i posted my wishlist long ago but there's something i forgot: i'd really like more info in the abilities panel, like blaster bolt deflection and overall damage immunities/resistances, force point regeneration, vitality regeneration and regeneration rate. you can get those kind of properties from many items, some are cumulative others ain't, a summary would be cool. -

then you should see me talking about serious stuff :D but you're right i've already posted my opinion, no sense in keeping up the explanations, after all my thought was clear, i didn't speak japanese and i hate preaching. i was just trying to make conversation, i didn't realize i was sounding somewhat hostile or even stuck up. -
"I must have left my hydrospanner in there..."
Knights&Darths replied to NecroDOS's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
i never brought T3 on Onderon, never knew that one. there is simply too many to remember them all, TSL must be the most buggy game in history, i do remember that there was something wrong in almost every single module, say a conditional in an npc dialog, wrong alien voices, droids dropping stims, turrets running around, messy quest entries, royalists firing at me while i was siding with Talia, and i could grow old before finishing the list. i think Mandalore and Bao-Dur have the most buggy dialogs but i may be forgetting something. -
jedi robe inconsistencies
Knights&Darths replied to Knights&Darths's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
now you make it sound like i'm making an issue out of it, i was simply asking if anyone noticed that or shared my preference of a more consistent view of the past. you don't? that's not the point, as awful as they may be Kotor robes are all we saw during the first game, pretending they never existed is just making it worse, they could have simply left the old robes for recordings of the past.
