I actually bought it retail for 2 euros + DLC. What did I find in the box? A steam key. Haha. Stupid.

If it's not Japanese would it still be called anime? I honestly don't care. The Last Airbender essentially waddles and quacks like a duck, so as far as I'm concerned, it's a duck. Get my meaning? I don't care for how or why someone would explain it is or isn't anime.

Urgh, The Batman deserved to be cancelled. Maybe not in favour of that Yu-Gi-Oh bull but The Batman was awful. Except for the episode where Batman punched an old lady in the face for no seeming reason. Of course, you found out the reason after but it was still hilarious! Now, The Spectacular Spider-man, that was a unique yet loyal take on the webhead and it's exceedingly obvious that the new movie franchise takes it's cues from that show instead of any comic book. That show deserved a third season at least. Ironically, my favourite anime isn't even japanese. The Last Airbender was awesome. Korra is pretty neat too, though the latest season suffers from far worse animation than anything that came before.

Ooh, Slender: The Arrival is on Steam now with extra content and my old key redeems a steam copy. That game was a disappointing follow-up to a fantastic ten minute jumpscare game, but it was still solid so I'm looking forward to see what additions and changes they made.

That's what I meant with "rather windy outside" (bit of an understatement because as of right now there's been two confirmed fatalities) Hello, apparently fellow dutchman!
-
*looks at uprooted tree* Rather windy out today. So, does anyone ever get autumn blues and if so, how do you get rid of it?

I thought it needed to cut out more stuff that was actually in the book. Both the trolls and the stone giants were, storywise, completely unneccesary and dragged on. And the songs did not feel at all natural, it was like the movie turned into a musical all of the sudden with all the choreographed plate throwing. Awful. The Hobbit book simply does not work as a film - it's a series of random things, trying to have a sequential story out of it practically requires you change everything. tl;dr version: It would have been a far worse movie had they been true to the source.

When this happened to me at your (assumed) age I used to go for an hour or two's run. Burns the booze, gets you exercise and makes you tired AND you barely realise you're doing it! Drink enough water during this run and you're practically hangover free the next morning too. So my girlfriend (the one whose channel my signature advertises wink wink nudge nudge) works at a bakery/diner hybrid about two blocks from my internship. I can literally go over there and say "woman, make me a sandwich" and it's awesome. ...And then I have to pay for it. (with discount)

Best episode so far. It's the first one with actual character development.

Allan plays Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut
Blarghagh replied to alanschu's topic in Computer and Console
Oh man, I want to watch this but I have yet to play the game, I do own it and I don't want it spoilt. -
That sounds painfully familiar.

Nice one But I have no idea what the Roost of Green Dragons is...and I'm not being lazy. Even a quick search through Yahoo didn't reveal anything definitive? Fio and his beloved are the green dragons. They're roosting. Dunno what else to tell you.

The mole is a requirement.

Man of Steel. Nothing to write home about. The action was okay, it looked spectacular but failed to get the heart pumping and there seemed to be a lot of fights with no resolutions. The moral center was crooked enough to make all the emotional scenes fall flat. Supes' human dad was turned into an illogical bastard for no other reason than to give Supes something to angst about. Zero chemistry between the leads for the entire movie and then they just make out, making it another forced action movie romance even though it's supposed to be one of the most famous romances in superhero history.

That only applies when things are solely childish. Cultist dislikes these things that are childish because they are childish and on that basis disregards any other elements or merits it may possess because it's not adult enough. He pretends he's outgrown the whole because of a fear for one element. On the same note, themes and lessons can be wrong and forgotten, or simply never taught in the first place. The keyword you used is that the lessons "should" be redundant but in practice they rarely are. For example, Cultist can do with some reminding about simple children's themes such as acceptance and politeness. He should have learned this, but in practice he is in desperate need of some children's cartoons.

Your posts remind me how 30+ year guys explain why they watch my little pony or other cartoons with little girls as target audience. By Lewis Carrol: “Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” In essence, you're being extremely immature here.

I wasted many an hour on that game and I don't even know the anime it's based on. It's more interesting than 99% of AAA titles out there.
-
I got 100% score for "You are an expendable character (Redshirt)". Not sure how to feel about that.

Its obvious your wife is away. I am so use to these interesting and delicious dishes that you normally prepare Yeah, my wife thinks that it's fascinating that I like fancy crap and just plain crap I'm just a fan of delicious flavor I think that's the right idea. I love me some fine tenderloin and some cheap easter bunny chocolate. EDIT: Not combined, though.

So archaic that I'm not buying that explanation. Someone obviously decided vengeance wasn't good enough and decided to portmanteau it with revenge to create a title of maximum pretention and redundancy. Googling it, it seems I must be correct because it's a metal gear title.

The Conjuring. Not an original moment in it, but overcomes that by being terrific and scary. The pacing is perfect.

Rewatching Chuck. I miss that show. It was the perfect mix of comedy, action, fanservice and drama.
