  1. Can any of you more experienced Rogue players share a viable/efficient dual wielding build? Much appreciated in advance.
  2. Thanks for the info, looking forward to the patch! We appreciate your hard work on this fantastic game guys.
  3. I dont think any order-specific talent is very useful though. Not even the Kind Wayfarer's Strange Mercy talent that grants endurance to the paladin and nearby allies whenever the paladin defeats an enemy? Sure, it won't be that useful if you make your paladin into a tank with defensive stats and sword & board, but if you make him into a DW or 2H damagedealer with offensive stats? I have a hard time seeing how any of the five paladin orders available to players can be considered "righteous warriors of light" except as a joke. Darcozzi Paladini - elite agents of the Darcozzi family, known for their extreme loyalty towards the family member they serve, participating in intrigue and plots including against other members of the large family. Goldpact Knights - mercenaries adhering to a code of honouring their contracts. These are the mercenaries to hire if you want henchmen you can rely on regardless of danger or morality, as they don't let such minor issues sway them from what is important, namely money. In other words, they are the ideal mercenaries. Bleak Walkers - unyielding warriors devoted to the ideal of ending conflicts swiftly regardless of costs to others. These are the guys to call if you want to burn a village to save it for its own good. Or for your own good, for the matter. The Shieldbearers of St. Elcga - professional warrior-diplomats, who believe you get further with a kind word than a cruel. The Kind Wayfarers - Guides and protectors of travelers. Earn lunch money by selling maps, travel guides, and acting as paid tour guides. That part was a joke indeed, the part about buffing them wasn't.
  4. I support this feature, there is no reason to not have it as an option for those who need it for role playing purposes, but to be fair it's not like the lack of a walk toggle is something game breaking... That being said, it's probably fairly easy to implement such a toggle so we'll probably see it in one of the future patches, though i reckon it won't happen for the first 2 or 3 updates considering that there are much more important things to fix, iron out and balance.
  5. IMO they definitely should change the way Might works and place the Magic bonuses on another stat, or make the responses class sensitive as is brilliantly suggested above. From a RP point of view a Wizard really shouldn't be intimidating people with the strength and size of his muscles.
  6. Well written optional romance would be an excellent addition to the game IMO.
  7. I support this fully, it would have been immensely better then the system we currently have for various reasons, most of which are already mentioned in this thread.
  8. I am of the opinion that it's a balance issue mostly, they seem to be OP currently which will most likely get sorted out in one of the many upcoming patches.
  9. It's a bug. That being said, i am of the opinion that Ranger as a class is in need of an overhaul, the fact that his ranged build is inferior to melee is mind boggling, plus they shouldn't suffer such severe penalties when their pets die, and they will die, it makes absolutely no sense, it's like they tried to reinvent the wheel when it comes to this class trying to differentiate it from it's D&D counterpart just for the sake of it, and they failed considering that the Rangers in the old Infinity games were flat out better....frankly this is my only serious gripe with this fantastic game.
  10. Time to swarm Metacritic and shut the trolls down with some excellent, well deserved scores. Get to it people!
  11. Agreed, GOTY material without a shadow of a doubt. Even Geralt's epic beard will have an immensely hard time competing.
  12. Big praise to the mighty Obsidian, one of my favorite game developers, they wanted to make a stellar game and they've pulled it off once again. These great reviews and high scores fill me with joy honestly.
  13. I'm all for some romance options if they are optional, written and implemented properly, which i'm fairly certain that Obsidian could pull off without much of a problem considering the talent they have at their disposal. As was mentioned already in the discussion, it would add an additional layer of immersion to the game and enhance the overall role playing experience in my opinion, it worked well in Torment as it did in Baldur's Gate, even in the modern RPG's such are the Bioware ones and the Witcher series they add more to the game then they take away, although admittedly the Bioware crew has become a bit notorious (to put it mildly) with their take on the matter in recent times. So bring it on in the future expansions as far as i am concerned.
  14. Thanks for the read and useful info Sock! I'm also leaning toward ranger for my first hero, ranged build preferably, always loved the class from classic D&D RPG's (i remember Kivan from BG 1 being my first introduction to the class archetype way back in the day) even though i see that Rangers from PoE are very much different. That being said, i saw several opinions on how Ranger as a class is in need of some attention (buffs) and how they are inferior to some other classes at the moment, is this true, or does this apply to ranged builds only? Also, considering that this is my first post here,my greetings to fellow RPG and PoE fans on these forums.
