I started 2handed tactition/bloodmage. Went usual18/3/18/18/18/3 since it is not solo. 2handed since i plan to use BoEP and SL for tactitian procs. May be ChS in late game. Eder, Xoti, Ydwin, Rekke. Early game was easy as f. Would go pure BM, but i never actually used high tier spells that much. So decided to hold on spell progression, but get benifits from tactitian.

That Blood Mage's Blood Sacrifice restores random spell level of known spells or just random? I mean if for example i multi BM and just pick spells from leveling without using spellbook. Will i narrow changes to restore spell level to the one i really need. For example melee wizard. It doent need many spells to buff up and you can probaly pick those with levels.

Final DLC release date?
xa7ex replied to MotelOK's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Funny. In build subforum ppl complain that most of the builds are around 20 level. Endgame. Here ppl complain that when they hit 20 there is still half of the game ahead )) Imho it is good that there still is so e of content left for your max level character. You can fully enjoy your class and build. -
PoTD with scaling was fine. Only 2 times i had to take over companions AI. First was battle with Ghosts where only 1 is not immune to damage. And second with druid and mage bosses where i had to manually flank one of em from side not to be destroyed by debuff. Rest of fights were easy. Still didn't manage to kill MegaBoss. Party composition was wizard, eder (f/r), xoti (p/m), rekke (b/f), ydwin ©. PS The main issue with this DLC is that it is all about combat. Becomes quite boring after few fights. Also it was a pain to sail for all those talismans to activate arena. I dont know if it is a bug, but on my map i see that there is a dock, but even after i completed whole DLC i could't use that door.

I always go full offensive plus 1 healer. Current setup 1. MC some sort of wizard to AoE things down 2. Eder R/F dual wield full offensive with defensive cooldowns if things go wrong 3. Pallegina P/F dual wield +fire weapons with ability to break charms. 4. Takehu D/C with shield. Disabler, heal. 5. Open spot for any companion you would like.

Also i tried Devoted/Helwalker, Devoted/Berserker and Devoted/Streetfighter. Liked berserker's version better. More relieable dps. But problems lies that melee builds ending being fully automated but AI. It's cool, but gets pretty boring at some point. If i didn't finish first PoE not so long ago as wizard i would go wizard right away.

I would suggest Sage if you are not sick from wizard as MC. RP wise wizards are great. Most badass characters in game are wizards. Monk from other hand gives you variety for caster/range/melee role plus you can use w/e weapon you want. Ofc pure wizard will be more powerfull as a caster, but Sage will be more flexible. Currently i am playing No sublass Wizard/Helwalker. Started with pistols and casting spells from distance. Then switched to blunderbuss and Combusting Wounds. Then to Citzal's Lance and Instruments of Pain. Now when i got Chromoprismatic Quarterstaff i am thinking to drop any martial action and just melt enemies with spells. My point is that i never was bored with all this changing weapons and spells i have at my disposal.

Same here. Steam version. Checked files. Played on Mac, then continued game on Windows. Can't tell if it was from beginning after transfer or appered later. Noticed it when started to do bounties. There was missing strings issue, but checking files seems solved that. Sometimes in dialogs i am playername instead of actual name. Started and played game in 2.0.1

My bad. Wanted to share my 2h experience, but got carried away I just played to level 16 with brute and 2h. Consoled devoted to have 2h swords and estocs to test things out. And everything was good until level 12 or so. Then i started to see that i am behind on tempo. Switched to dual and it was completely different story. Now checking berseker streetfighter. "Higher dmg" number are way higher, but i do much less explosions, because of less crit chance + lack of mob stance, which led to chain killing spree.

Yes. This is all theory. But in practice duals still kill faster. While you swing you 2h, your comrade already hit and killed target, then proced mob stance with bloodlust and carnage on top ready to finish rest of enemies.

Dunno. I tried Brute with devoted to estocs or 2h swords. It was fine until i didn't try same with duals. Mob stance under frenzy with duals is completely different speed of killing everything around you compared to 2h WoEP, for example.
