If this was a AAA game I'd say that stuff like this probably don't matter that much since you're already appealing to a subsection of a subsection with streaming and the like but since this is not AAA game it probably matters quite a bit. But from what I've seen I don't think seeing noobs/'casuals' flail and die is necessarily a bad thing if your primary audience is 'hardcore' RPG fans.

What kind of attribute spread would you suggest for a Cipher? Also, since I like playing talkers more than fighters, if I wanted to focus on stats like perception, intelligence and resolve does that kind of setup lend itself towards any one class in particular?

In my experience trying to pin down the nature of an RPG is a never ending maelstrom of conflicting subjective opinions and definitions that usually results in hair pulling and name calling.

It's still a thing. It's just that some backgrounds are not available for some cultures. For example, it's available for Old Valia, but not for White That Wends. Cool beans, thanks. In that case my first will be a Godlike (dunno what type yet though, or sex) artist from Old Valia. Oh and a cipher because they just sound cool.

Barcelona is pretty great. It's after Barcelona that things go pear shaped for Lionheart. And Montaillou, things are still pretty solid there. But yes, things degenerate quickly into hack-n-slash after that. Especially the war. BUT! It does get props for the ability to talk your way out of just about every major boss fight, including the last one. You don't see that a lot.

The wiki mentions an artist background, anyone know if that's accurate or if it got removed along the way?
