  1. Yup, because if they did not originally they definitely will now amirite
  2. *here Well I am glad it is this week. I can take Thursday and Friday off and it is a weekend I am not scheduled to work. It couldn't have been better timing for me! That being said, the last few days have been hard and I am sure tomorrow will be painfully slow!!
  3. Yes. Enemy mages have the same spells as the PC and you can always choose spells on level up. It can hold 4 spells of each level which is less than you'll get from leveling up. So yes you will need to kill mages to get all the spells. I think you may be asking if there are special super duper spells only found on an enemy wizard? That's very doubtful. Well im sure glad I responded even if i was very, very wrong. Learned something nifty here =)
  4. I thought they were used as a weapon rather than actually holding the spells you can cast. Like it doesn't affect your spells but just your stats. I haven't read anything about them except there is a skill used to smash people over the head with it which is a funny animation :0)
  5. Those thoughts exactly went through my mind before I decided to pick a cipher. So I played the backer beta twice today. BB party + PC Priest & Companion Druid = Full party wipe at first set of beetles. BB party + PC Cipher & Companion Cipher = Full beetle wipe with less than 20 health taken off the entire party. <3 Ciphers <3 OMG BALANCE ISSUES!
  6. It looks like it is only if you logged into Twitch on 3/23/2015. I wonder if you had to key in your password or if a cookie logs you in it also counts. Either way, I'll change it later on. Thanks!
  7. It currently says 3 days 18 hours on Steam, so it looks like around 3/26/2015 1:00pm EST is release time or is Steam inaccurate with such things and we can start to download at like 12am (est or pst)? Has this been confirmed anywhere?
  8. As opposed to rejoicing the death of computer controlled characters or collecting pre-determined loot which is just a series of 1's and 0's your computer is being told to generate?
  9. While indeed hilarious, I don't think many will actually play with it. I will be one of the few. I think that is freaking awesome. I can only hope the baddies also have them.
  10. How important is skills using Mana to you? I watched the Sword Coast Legends stream today and the skills were cooldown based on not mana based. There was some discussion during the stream on this feature and a lot of people did not like it. The plus side is you don't need to sleep after healing twice like in BG, but the bad side is some people will feel like they are playing WoW and not BG type games *shrug* So what's your thinklng on the mana vs cooldown? (not specifically for that game, in general). By the way it plays differently than Pillars but it doesn't look bad.
  11. I rented Phantasy Start IV for Genesis back in like 94 or something and loved RPG's since. One of my exes Uncles told me I HAD to try this game and handed me a bunch of CD's, What did they say on them? "Baldur's Gate". From there BGII, IWD, IWDII, NWN, NWNII and a host of other games in between obviously. I read about Pillars on MMORPG.com and told myself I had to get it =)
  12. We have not talked about them, no. Just that it is an item and a pet. http://buy.pillarsofeternity.com/ The item and the pet's names are in this link. Spoilers, I guess? No, those are the pre-order items which Kickstarter backers *also* get; the Kickstarter-only things are different. I've been trying to wheedle information about them for months. It's an endless bag of holding!
  13. Stagalands is definitely not hand-holding whatsoever, but I don't think the devs intended that to be frustrating for the player. It's part of the experience for the player to explore and discover and experiment, much like Demon/Dark Souls/Bloodborne (FromSoft games) where there is no hand-holding. I cannot find anything on the game when I Google. Any chance the spelling is off or can you provide a link to information about the game? I'll be buying Torment when it comes out. Another kickstarter I missed >.<
  14. I don't usually think about the story as much so I never plan out a background. I have heard pets suck in Beta but I plan on Elven Ranger. If the pets do suck I'll just rely on the rest of the party while I watch from the back =)
  15. I assumed once the game is released they cannot stop anyone from doing it. I didn't realize they would have a say on what can be shown and what cannot post Beta. So videos that are lets say 12GB can be made into a format that works on Youtube? What format do you normally change it to? Thanks!
  16. I was thinking about doing Youtube videos since I'll be home for 2 days at release. My question is for Youtube videos what do you guys use to record the game action? I used FRAPS but it makes a 6GB movie file after just a few minutes. Is that normal and you change the format after or are there better programs to record gaming? For any streamers, feel free to link the Stream if you like. I wouldn't mind watching other styles of gameplay.
  17. When I first started reading the forums the PoE through me off because I always tied it to Path of Exile previously hehe.
  18. I am sitting down some time today during lunch and reading through Classes and Races on the Wiki to decide what to start with. My question is do I start the game alone or will Companions be with me from the get-go? If I start with just 1 companion do the rest join immediately? Just planning out my Trinity style setup. Thanks!
  19. So I clicked a link posted in PBJam's signature which brought me to an unofficial Wiki which i then clicked the most recent change PoE related. It was Fruit. The description says +5 endurance for 285 seconds (base 300 sec). What's "Base" refer to? Thanks,
  20. Crushing Disappointment? DOS is not my favourite game ever made but it's a pretty well-made rpg imo. Also, judging from the current state of the Backer Beta and the potential that POE seems to have at this point yes, I would pledge Hardcore The turn based look of the videos I've seen have made me pass and not even try it so I would have to agree with Smithereen
  21. As of today I definitely would. If I end up disappointed in the first game for some reason I probably would not (for mechanics, graphics etc, not story or characters).
  22. My concern is gold is limited since there are no respawns
  23. I believe I replied earlier but things have changed. Playing through IWD which I started probably about 3 years ago and Might and Magic: Legacy (was on sale)
