  1. Hand of Weal the priest spell? Didn't that have supermega short range? does the beam last if you cast it and then charge out of range?
  2. I think Charge is actually pretty bad unless you have a dedicated backline killer fighter, because usually you want to keep your fighter between the enemy and your backline but charging would mean going through the enemies. Some enemies already ignore frontliners pretty hard and by charging through them they don't even have to walk around you.
  3. Does anyone like any of the barbarian abilities besides Frenzy and Savage Defiance? I was so dissapointed with the dragon jump thingy. Requires like what? level 13? Damage is not massive and it inflict frigging Daze...frigging Daze. Maybe I just don't like barbarians.
  4. I don't use any items with charges or consumables. Well maybe an item with charges but actually using those charges is a no-no.
  5. We're talking about player made disengagement attacks here right? Did anyone ever think those were strong? I think people were saying that disengagement attacks made by the enemies were too punishing and really restricted movement in combat, but now with the ai improvements people are complaining about their disengagement attacks not being strong enough. I atleast didn't really think about disengagement attacks before White March, because the enemy wasn't smart enough to make me use them.
  6. This is not intended behaviour. Have you tried opting out of the beta? Opted out and the saves reappeared. Yay. Had to download 4GB for it though. Thanks for the advice.
  7. Anyone else had their save games disappear? Seems that the saves I made during the 2.0 beta before this expansion have disappeared. Maybe this was mentioned somewhere and this is how it's supposed to be.
  8. The weapon focus applying to soulbound weapons no matter what seems like a really nice idea. Hope it will apply to priest deity stuff. Subverts the trouble of making 5 weapons just for priests. Are there soulbound shields? Probably not. I wonder if two handers will be better since you get a "full" equipment set from just one weapon when dual wielders and S&B people would need something for the offhand too. I guess duelists could do with just 1 weapon also. Kinda seems like there should be atleast one 1handed and one 2handed weapon for each class though. Maybe these things won't be the best weapons in the game at all so you won't feel like you're being punished for earlier choices. If the greatsword for example is the only soulbound weapon for barbarians but someone plays a dualwielding barb. They could always respec, but that ruins the rp aspect of making a build.
  9. I don't like the class restrictions on these things. I'm playing a battlepriest at the moment and i'm already restricted to only 2 weapon types (mace and greatsword) from Berath. Now I might not even be able to use all maces or greatswords. "St. Ydwen's Redeemer can be bound to fighters, paladins, or barbarians. before binding, it's a fine greatsword with a 15% to destroy vessels. when you bind it, it gets an additional power. after you do a specific task (i think doing x damage to spirits) it gains an additional power, but this one is specific to the class of the binder. fighters get a chance to proc pillar of faith. paladins get a chance to proc divine mark. barbarians get a chance to proc despondent blows. after that you can upgrade it one more time." This bit kinda makes it seems like only fighter, paladin or barbarian can use this greatsword. So if they don't add more soulbound greatswords then Berath followers wouldn't even get a soulbound greatsword at all. Kinda worried that these will become the best weapons you can get and the class restrictions will screw someone over (mostly me, but I totally, definitely care about other people too, for realsies).
  10. Frenzy increases attack speed by x1.33 might by 4, and constitution by 4. I can see that being useful even slighty nerfed. I don't think and certainly hope that monk ability won't be unarmed damage. That just sounds totally and utterly useless. Is unarmed better even for a monk than just using weapons?
  11. You can actually use Vicious Aim and Penetrating Shots at the same time... I also don't think the talent that gives +10 accuracy when attacking the same target as your pet is that strong because quite often the pet can't actually get to the target you want to attack (like the enemy wizards). It's still a pretty good talent, but it's just doesn't translate into a +10 accuracy bonus unless you use some really suboptimal targeting.
  12. Basicely making best looking armor in game and only really unique-looking armor in game useless for 80% of characters since +4 Might and Con with -10 Deflection is nothing. Especially, irony, for pure melee calsses that dump INT so duration is laughtable. Not installing. Game has already poor choice of good looking items and only armor that makes every class look badass will not be "just another armor with useless effect". I am staying with 1.0.4 Doesn't Frenzy also increase attack speed by x1.33?
  13. #2 Afaik they can't be active at the same time. Haven't tried recently tho. #5 False. That +0.5 crit dmg multiplier only affects the crits against targets with low endurance. #2 You're right. Can't have Vicious Aim and Swift Aim on at the same time, but you can have Swift Aim or Vicious Aim and Penetrating Shots on. Not exactly intuitive interaction there. It does kinda make sense since Vicious and Swift are class powers, but still kinda iffy for me.
  14. I don't get why you don't understand what i'm saying here (maybe that's why I thought you're trolling). Hold-Wall has the same base damage as Aedrin's Wrecker. The reason you think Aedrin's does more damage is probably because the damage it shows to you includes the 45% bonus from the superb enchant it has. Actually Hold-Wall isn't awesome since the speed enchant is not working, but if Hold-Walls speed enchant was working it would be better for dps. Though you would need to wait to level 12 to enchant it with superb.
  15. You're just trolling aren't you? if in your current up to date patched game you enchant your Hold-Wall with superb it will have the same damage as Aedrin's Wrecker.
  16. Seems you're wrong about that. I just tested this with 10 might character and both Hold-Wall and Aedrin's Wrecker with superb enchant the damage on both is 32-46.
  17. I don't know where you're getting these numbers, but I just checked the numbers from Gamepedia and it says Hold-Wall is 22-32 while Aedrin's Wrecker is 32-46. I assume this is with 0% effect from might and you know what? The only difference in damage is the fact that Aedrin's wrecker has superb enchant on it. If you add that superb enchant to Hold-Wall you'll have the exact same damage number on the weapons.
  18. What buffs does the paladin actually have? The aura? People seem to bring up the utility of paladins and the buffs all the time, but the only buff my paladin has is the aura. Not really worth it to bring a paladin for such a "great" buff. Is there some paladin buffs i've missed while playing?
  19. How do you know it will end up costing human lives down the line? I don't remember any human bones or anything saying that these things kill human beings at all. Maybe I just didn't pay attention. On the spear though. I don't really mind losing on stuff for being the good guy, but isn't this like the best spear in the game pretty much? Kind of a downer if you have someone using spears.

  21. You're right about the ranger ability, but the barbarian's One stands alone definitely gives a flat +20 damage boost. I tested this before for the op and now again because of your post and i'm pretty sure it adds 20 damage. my barb hit for over 30 damage with 11 might while dual wielding on the wolves and 3 dudes at the start. It also shows it on the character page (think my damage was 31-39 with it on).
  22. Okay just tested this by leveling a Barb with console and it does seem to give you +20 damage. Tried it on the 2 wolfs at the starting map. So yeah... this is real life
