Hi. Pillars of eternity was translated in German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish and Russian. Unfortunately, for the moment it seems POE 2 will get only German and French localizations. This thread is for all those players who played and enjoyed POE in their languages but they are facing the horror of having not the same chance for POE. Post your opinions guys and show them how we care!!

I don't know where to write this, i hope someone will read: I know Paradox doesn't provide italian translation in any of their products, and this is perfectly reasonable considering they surely do some market research before choosing in which language translate the games... With one exception: Pillars of eternity. The game was wonderfully translated and thanks to that, me and lot of friends could really appreciate the game and the huge amount of amazing written (and translated) text. I've gifted 2 copies of PoE (so three in total, 150 €) for casual friends, just to raise the market demand. I have a bad feeling tho, because i'm afraid that PoE 2 won't be translated in our language. Please don't do that, let us fully enjoy this wonderful franchise. We can raise some additonal money only for that, if you go kickstarter path you can do a strech goal, many of us will pay more of the final price for text in our language. Thank you

3.04? Update on our next patch
Mazisky replied to Sking's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Announcements & News
There are some audio issues since release, never fixed: 1 - i noticed sometimes the ambient effects don't trigger at all (completely missing, u can hear only main party footsteps) and doing again a transition (interior\exterior) seems to trigger them properly. 2 -Some interior music doesn't trigger properly; for example, if i go inside the lighthouse from Ondra's Gift, the Ondra's Gift theme will continue playing instead of the correct one (should be the "sanitarium.ogg" if i remember well). When inside, the only way to trigger the proper music is by reloading a savegame (located inside the lighthouse). -Same issue with the sanitarium itself: If you go inside, the brackenbury music will continue playing, and even if you switch floor, the music don't trigger. Useful information about this issue is that in both cases, a quest was active. Also, the ogg file is the same, so maybe it is something related to it. Both Sanitarium and lighthouse are scary places with a strong mood, so i think it is very important that the correct theme is triggered, otherwise the atmosphere is broken (not so good going into a haunted place with the dreamy city music instead of the correct, scary one.) 3-Both Cad Nua and Dyrford village themes trigger on every interior\exterior transition, and this can be annoying -
My party is composed by: Edèr: Built full tank with all defensive options and high armor Chanter (main): Heavy armored and tough, she goes front with Edèr, buff team and summons stuff to annoy enemy casters\ranged Aloth: Aoe Spam + CC Durance: Heals+Buffs+Debuffs and ranged weapon Rogue: I bought her a legendary rifle and she does lot of dmg from far, but dunno if there are better choices, also high reload time Should i fill with a Druid or some other Aoe\spell guy? Sometimes i feel i have not enough damage to put away quickly enemy casters\ranged\squishies

I did almost all quests, but i cannot beat the Knight Constructs on Crucible keep, they are too strong and oneshot me. There is nothing left a part main plot tower (already cleaned heritage hill), Sanitarium and lighthouse (that i left cause i remember it was hard). Also, i still have Raedric quest active cause i wanted to lvl up to beat him but i'm guessing it should be a lot easier just ally with him and kill kolsch to gain easy Xp

I finished the game on Hard at release and i found it too easy. I waited till full expansion for another playtrough, so now i'm doing POTD. I find the game really challenging (finally!!) and i need some advices My party is lvl 6 and i'm on act 2 but i'm stuck. All the main enemies i find are too much for me, i just unlocked white march but it's too difficult too. Is there some quest\area easier than usual i can do for leveling?

Great music !

Nobody mentioned the prologue music. That is really atmospheric and sets (in combo with the narrator) a perfect mood for game start. -
The most interesting part is about the stronghold "The new stronghold main quest is focused on you as Caed Nua lord. Even if the castle is located in a lonely area between Dyrford and Eir Glanfat, the Aedyre have some hystorical interest in removing you from the throne and in a few seconds, what seems a little conflict will translate into a big war. The final part of the quest is well made and i hope all players will appreciate that." Other than that, all stuff we already know. PS: He also said we can "hang castle vistiors" regarding Dilemmas stuff they introduced. Sounds funny PS2: Josh said he want to realize a Darklands style game, and always speaks about it with Feargus Edit: I'm dumb, AndreaColombo already did the job, noticed now ^^

On the White March part 1 files, there is a combat music much longer (about 4:00 if i remember well) that resemble the intro theme listened on the first trailers of the base game (epic style with chorus) It is super epic and beautiful and would fill perfectly the last battle. EDIT: it is the Dragon fight theme.

I acctually like that weird arhitecture in BG2 more that BG. I feels more like a fantasy theme. Like the Underdark level, and Ust Natha in BG2. Also. BG2 was more non linear and had better level design. I wish that for POE2 (and POE3 ) Better level design for sure, but BG felt more medieval while BG2 felt more alien or kinda futuristic sometimes, i prefere those settings for games like Torment, not for PoE, don't wanna see Psychedelic from Eternity. They could improve enviromental variety by just adding more scenarios like desert, undergrounds, castles, magic woods, seaside while keeping classic setting

Wait... what?

I'm using a keyboard to write this message but i have no talent in hardware -
Jagged Alliance 2 combined RT and TB systems seamlessly. Well... Sort of seamlessly. Wasteland 2. Fallout. There's actually quite a few of those. How did i forget Ja2, i've spent so many hours on it!!!! But it had almost no melee combat and it was all based on long range fights and building covers positioning (hide and fight back), so TB "slowness" felt appropriate

I guess i'm the only one who likes both TB and RTWP. Imho TB feels better on games with a specific and different tactical layer for combat parts (a la X-com\King bounty\Age of wonders) while RTWP is better on unique layers for the whole game (like IE games and POE). I remember only Temple of Elemental Evil being TB on a single layer
