  1. I liked Vandar and Kavar. Vandar may have been a Yoda clone, but I still liked him. And Kavar was great right up to the point where he turned his back on you in K2. Outside the game, my favorites are Yoda and Mace Windu.
  2. Vrook was one of the worst Jedi Masters I've ever seen. Hell, I'm surpised a person like him could even get into the council. I fail to see how Vrook would have prevented the Repubilc from falling, he couldn't even stop Revan and Malak from going to war. He may have been strong in the force and a good trainer, but that's about it. There were many masters who were greater than he was. Yoda was far wiser, and Mace Windu was a way better fighter. The only other thing Vrook is good for is scolding people and being rude. And he is a back-stabber, as we eventually learn in K2.
  3. Great Carth, Enha. Have fun in Italy. We'll miss you.
  4. Ha! I thought Kreia's teachings were only useful for DS characters (she was DS herself, after all). In fact, if you think about it, Kreia shared a lot of beliefs in common with the Sith. Remember what Atton said - "All that talk about hatred, and manipulation, and standing on your own two feet? Sorry, you don't get any more Sith than that." And he should know, he was a Sith at one time. Her views are no more enlightened then the Jedi or the Sith. And for such a "wise" character, Kreia contradicts herself a few times in the game. I for one, was glad to be rid of her once and for all.
  5. The lightside is almighty, my friend. Vrook's problem was that he believed he was the lightside.
  6. Recently saw Dodgeball. I admit, it was a lot better than I thought it would be. Napoleon Dynamite was pretty funny too, though I think it's over-rated.
  7. Vrook was an egotistical, arrogant, short-sighted, and hypocritical Jedi Master. He was definitely not the greatest Jedi Master of his age, let alone of all time. In my opinion, he got worse in K2 as a character. And for all his "badassness", Kreia, who couldn't even defeat Sion, kills him in about two seconds. Yoda is a far greater Jedi Master than Vrook could ever hope to be.
  8. Amazing how some people are such losers/psychos that they have to throw a tantrum if their favorite website is down. Although if I were Sergio, I would have at least posted a warning on the site beforehand telling everyone he would be shutting the site down for a while to upgrade.
  9. I'll bet anything she was completely insane by the time you reached Malachor V. Heck, she was probably insane throughout the game. One thing I noticed is in K1 I actually felt sympathy for Malak when he died (as a LS). On the other hand, I was glad once I finished off Kreia at Malachor. I felt almost no sympthy for her.
  10. Toby Keith: Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue American girls and American guys will always stand up and salute; Will always recognize When we see ol' glory flying, There's a lot of men dead, So we can sleep in peace at night when we lay down our head. My daddy served in the army, Where he lost his right eye. But he flew a flag out in our yard 'til the day that he died. He wanted my mother, my brother, my sister and me To grow up and live happy in the land of the free. Now this nation that I love has fallen under attack. A mighty sucker punch came flying in from somewhere in the back. Soon as we could see clearly through our big black eye, Man we lit up your world like the Fourth of July. Hey Uncle Sam put your name at the top of his list, And the Statue of Liberty started shaking her fist. 11. Oh hell, right-wing builds character. Seriously, I don't understand why anyone cares about it. It's not like they're going to start putting "Bush is god" themes into the game articles. At most, it's just something else for them to make money off of.
  12. All you humans do. You all suck. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am no human. "
  13. Hard to say, really. Although if I had to choose, I'd say LA simple because of time constraints. Then again, the "master" storytellers at Obsidian didn't do such a great job, either, in my humble opinion.
  14. What prompted that little tantrum, anyway? Was it Mus's post below, or is he just an angry person?
  15. Hey, at least Jolee was funny, and his stories had a point. And he wasn't self-contradicting, either.
  16. You might be a redneck if you go to a family reunion looking for a wife. They call me tater salad. Here's your sign. Git 'r done!
  17. Some brave soul should attempt to do Eddo36's card.
  18. But what if your character was also DS? That still doesn't explain it. I think the "lie" explanation is more feasible. @Will the almighty: That doesn't make sense. Bonds don't form just because someone is in training, they form when two people have been in close contact for some time, hence Master and apprentice bonds would form. Or they can form like they did between Bastila and Revan in K1. A bond doesn't just "go away" like that. And why would it suck to be a lie, anyway? If anything, I'd be glad that the bond wasn't really lethal. That would suck.
  19. ... who is heroically sacrificed in a selfless act of superior strategising that completes a dilemma successfully allowing the PC to conclude the — otherwise tragically irreconcilable — endgame. :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "It's just lazy writing. I could write around it, they should." - Metadigital.
  20. Well, doiin't foiirget, K2 already had a bunch of stuff done foiir them. :D KOTOR was a new thing. I'm surprised no one has mentioned K2's recycling of old maps from its predessesor. That, and I think they overdid the whole "mercenary threat" a bit. Anyone else feel like mercenaries were a bigger threat to the Republic than the Sith? KOTOR II: Attack of the Mercenaries. ...And you have an unfinished game with a bunch of bugs, a sucky ending, incomplete quests, boring environments, and a weak, complicated, storyline.
  21. You asked, I answered. Who knows what the main character's challenges would be? I just told you the possible outcome of K3. Since you seem unable to come up with anything other than the "heroic sacrifice", I gave an alternative, which just focused on the OUTCOME of the character at the end of K3. Besides, who says Revan even has to be the new PC? I would prefer for him to be an NPC, actually.
  22. I thought he was already Kronos. Perfectly fitting to me.
  23. No real underlying theme in K2 that I can think of. In K1, as a lightsider, the main theme seemed to be redemption. K2 seemed to lack any major moral themes.
