Yes. I haven't gotten very deep in the experiance but it really sucks you in... until the old gesture system appears and you have to use various gestures to get people to like you. of course it's REALLY EASY to get people to like you if you play a good character as you walk up fire off seduce and watch the hearts appear. (I'm playing a female for the heck of it). The combat is MUCH more streamlined with ranged/magic attacks being attached to other buttons rather than hit button to change the way you are targeting hit button again to shoot. all in all those looking for a challenge probably won't find it here because the combat is EXTREMLY easy. the old card system is back for hairstyles and tattoos (I believe not entirely sure about that as I have yet to change either) and the system of clothes giving bonus' is back. You can purchase any building on the planet. the jobs to earn money are a joke (like Shadow Hearts ring system except the target space is HUGE!). somthings can be extended, for example the fart expression can be extended for at least a minute and if you mess up you might accidently crap yourself. haven't tried the family making, did get married as part of a quest. you set your spouses allowance that they are allowed to use while you are away and you are encouraged to return every so often to see your spouse lest you get an earful. I like the game thus far, probably what I like the most about it is that it did away with the central questing/leveling up/faffing about area (the heroes guild) and made it so you could fast travel anywhere and level up at any point. no waypoints, just running. and time does pass if you go between far off areas, it'll tell you exactly how long it is between two places on foot. take what you will.

That was pretty much my experience. Exploring the world was fantastic, but nothing about the later levels appealed to me. I'm not a big fan of the grind of MMO's, and WoW was great at masking it until about level 45. I've heard they sped levelling up after the first expansion, so maybe it's less of a grind now. But the gear grind still sounds pretty crazy. they reduced the XP requirements from 1-60 by 33% after BC hit. Also they've changed the Classes radically and reduced boss life by somthing like 30% for end game bosses. the killing speed and power of the classes is now MUCH higher than anything previously. the biggest grind I've found in WoW is the grind to get your trade skills up, and the grind to get EPIX! for your character. the latter is easier for me to deal with because usually you have a pack of allies along with you that change the scenery and generally make it funner, while the tradeskills is just roaming around finding material then taking said material and turning it into somthing else for a minor skill upgrade, it's bothersome.

Fable 2. Midnight launch for the win. I played for three hours and didn't realize it, the game FEELS MASSIVE and the dog is quite good at its job, but I personally would have preferred a solo adventure rather than one that has a dog chasing you around.

you sir are going to catch alot of flack for that one.

And what evidence do you have that it sucks? you readily admit that you haven't played the game so are you going by the "it sucks until proven otherwise" frame of mind or are you just making a snap judgement before ever even touching the thing like a certain group of people who said that there was full frontal nudity in Mass Effect? Also you have to realize that Scores are subjective. A 10/10 game for me might be a 5/10 for you. to make everyone conform to your reviewing system just means that they could only review games for you. Strix posted that VtM:B is in his opinion a 10/10. I beg to differ given the sheer number of bugs and the code leaks that were released within the game. YES it was a good game but it was so buggy it doesn't deserve to have the 10 out of 10 imho

ZZ has got to have THE WORST intro music... Seriously. Also I'm looking for a good Mecha to tide me over until megavideo lets me watch again.

COD:world at war is the one you guys are playing? cause I thought World at War or whatever was developed by treyarch while COD5 (a seperate game) was developed by Infinity ward...

Ok, so I felt the urge to revive this because I recently got back into Giant Mecha stuff. Within the past week I saw Macross Frontier (good music but I think that it was a little to messy in plot presentation) and finially found a place to watch Gundam ZZ. I LOVED GUNDAM Z. and supposedly ZZ is a little lighter hearted than Z (god Z was depressing). If you can find a fan sub of gundam Z watch it. the sub by bandai is exactly the same as their subs (even though they got the words different to fit it). I'm also on the look out for newer Mecha series that are semi serious. I also have a wierd distaste for overly CG animation (i think get backers threw me off with this) but I don't mind mecha being CG. Eh Oh and Gundam 00 is started season 2 and Bleach is back in the spanish underworld fighting arrancar.

I was an idiot and didn't take the "for every 180 armor you get 1 attack power" especially given I've got somthing like 17k armor.

as a tank I was a little freaked when post spec I was somthing like 11 defense UNDER the uncrittable level. Freaked me out until my pack rat instincts activated and I equipped a single old trinket. I personally am quite happy as I can now deal damage instead of just take it. (me and a friend were clearing Shadow Laberynth for the heck of it and so he could get rep) I did mess up a little on my spec but I'll fix it later.

I don't think that means anything. and the boy will be found in chapter three... or so I read. I failed that quest.

Nice to know Thanks Sounds like there is wyvern bashing in the air tonight. Spent all of yesterday night (real time) trying to find the tenth sephirath (sp?). Just to discover after giving up finding it, that the "detective" has it I've activated all 10 obelisks, but I'll wait with the tower until the I've seen what those wyverns are guarding. Call me paranoid, but I don't really trust the game to let me get back there I really love those swamps. I hate to say it, but they are even nicer than the sewers Edit: I guess there is no point hoarding my 4 pieces of red meteorite, besides the point that a new sword is quite expensive to make. I'll never be able to afford that nice leather armour Don't worry theres a quest based armor later on (act five only practically) Also your silver sword can be upgraded with different runes that you find in your travels but unlike the Steel Sword it doesn't require three of each, you can mix and match (each rune has a different effect) so horde those until you get the other Silver Sword.

Almost all swords in the game are steel minus one that you get from doing a quest for the lady of the lake

Hmm... While I like the way the game is going I'm wondering if the Marines are going to be the unstoppable killing machines of the fluff and backstory of 40k or the more normalized versions for tabletop and DOW1 gameplay. I still think this will be a good game and intend to get it if only for the singleplayer campaign.

Finished replacing all the fixtures in my bathroom with chrome instead of brass Took 6 hours all together.

Would have been interesting if instead of just you saving the universe as seemingly the only specter (you only encounter two others and one is offed rather swiftly the other is EEEEVILLLL!) you had to interact with other factions of the Specters... like a paragon and a renegade faction and depending on the faction you had different things happen. Like the Squirrls and the Order in Witcher. huh... for some reason this made me think that a good RPG would be Inquisitor from warhammer 40k
-
you can't... At least I couldn't find one, either you kill the robbers or the order guards.

the detection of where you are on that thing is terrible. I got splattered several times because it thought I was inside the triangle.
