All true. Except, from what I under stand, that's not the lesson per se. McCarthyism is taught mainly to demonstrate the problem of which hunts and how things were being done back during the craze. Same thing with the Salem Witch Trials. Also, it sounds like they're saying that just because there were a few commies in the country, accusing anyone who was his political opponents is Ok, because at the end of the day, he was correct.

Seriously though there is still a lot of Chtonic deities, primordial deities and personified concepts to murder and bang. The first 3 games just skimmed over the vastness that is Greek mythology. Plus the ending of the 3 left a lot open to interpretation and a possible comeback. I know that some people have been saying "forget the story and character, enjoy the brutality!" but here's the thing, I can't enjoy it unless I feel that these people deserve what's coming to them. I finally started to connect when Pandora showed up in a meaningful way... but meh

Finished God of War. I'm strangely... underwhelmed by the overall ending. Every boss fight is amazing and the story is good, but the ending in itself just doesn't feel... punctuated well enough. I will say one thing though, they REALLY needed to get rid of some of Kratos horribleness, at least early on. It was getting to the point where I just couldn't stand to kill the gods I'm tossed at because I know that I'm gonna wipe people out. He's a brutal uncaring self-obcessed jackass, and what little empathy you got in the first two games (from him having a very obvious reason for revenge) is underplayed. I suppose this is, in part, because they're thinking that this is a direct follow up to GoW2 so you're supposed to keep the feelings from that game in your mind while playing this but you really can't because of the timing of the games. Also, why did I have to kill posiedon... he was AWESOME! His first appearance (in the opening cutscene, so no spoilers here) has him nodding to zues and then leaping off olympus and skydiving into a titan and hitting the thing (who's a mountain in himself) so hard that it falls to it's death. Hmm good point, but otoh, I've seen my share of games which looked much better on PC (during both PS2 and PS3 periods, PS2 was even better in that regard, I think). When a game looks (and performs) better on consoles, it's usually due to the game being designed specifically for consoles and/or poor/rushed PC ports. Doesn't seem like enough of a reason on it's own, but thanks for pointing it out. Wel, PC and consoles are almost apples and oranges anymore, While a PS3 development can always guarantee that this fancy new tech can be used to it's fullest, a PC cannot.

The only reason I really like the exclusive concept is because it allows PS3 exclusives to take FULL advantage of that processing power within the system. Also people forgot Uncharted 1/2 (second was GOTY last year) and inFamous (which I like better than prototype and is a good contender for Crackdown).

It can. If you're in a big offense then you've got the problem of reinforcing your armies if they're halfway across the continent, also if you're under attack and need to reinforce, every turns movement counts.

Been playing a bit of this and finally realized, The Van Orange is... scary powerful later in the game. Dikes in coastal cities net stupid production amounts... and yeah.... Anyway, Currently me and three friends hold THE continent in the north of the world map. I'm the second largest by virtue of being the furthest away from everyone and I'm Van Orange. We started exploring south across the ocean (set it up so everyone was on different continents to let one player keep learning) and found the other two teams. Imagine our surprise when Jiao II and Cesar both turned up to have started on their own islands... of a single tile. Anyway, right now the largest of us has an outpost on territory that hadn't been colonized on one continent (who we're at war with) and is fending them off easily, I packed a few units in there and then realized I could probably kick the crap out of the enemy city that we could see (which was garrisoned with a single swordsman... I have muskets) Overall, I'm starting to think that two of us need to go up in difficulty (I can hold my own on noble, but they just steamroll anything in the area. I think the most advanced unit I've seen from the enemy is Trebuchets...) next time simply to provide some sort of challenge to them, and to make it feel less like I'm just plowing fields and more like I'm fighting.

From what I can understand (Haven't watched the show since the end of Villians or whatever), Basically all the momentum they built up during writing and production just flat out died during the writers strike (which is why season 2 was short and garbage).

Probably has to do with showing dealy or something. I'm happy burn notice was renewed but am amazed at the fact that Law and Order (which has been going for what, 22 years?) is finally being canceled.
