  1. up until this part, your post was valid if those were indeed things you ran across. once you showed your fanboism, your post lost credibility. not that im defending obsidian, but you do NOT know whether bioware could have done a better job given a 12 month development time table. you can assume, believe, wish, whatever. but you do not know for certain. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i don't care for bioware. But KOTOR was twenty times more highly polished than this game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bioware had enough time, OE didn't. Again, search the forums before posting.
  2. I didn't have any problems with the game, save a few CTD and I have already played the game three times. Besides, we don't exactly know what the patch will fix, so I wouldn't wait for it to come. If you haven't started a the game already, do so, and see how it goes. If you get any bugs, stop playing and wait for the patch. Trust me the game is good, and its worth a few bugs. No sense in waiting. My two cents...
  3. Just search the forums, and you probably will find the guilty party in all this. But, at this point this is not a question of who is guilty and who is not. It doesn't matter anymore. The game is out, and a patch is coming. In regards of the cut ending, well, there are some people, like Aurora, who are trying to restore it. And I agree NWKinght. We would never know if Bioware would've made K2 a better game.
  4. I could live without the droid planet. OE/LA could put it in KotOR3. I only want the "real" ending. I doubt it, but it will hopefuly be incorporated in the newly annouced patch.
  5. Where exactly is that place on Na-Shaddaar? I was able to tell Mira about the vision and offer to take her there, but we were on the Ebon Hawk at the time so I figured I'd have to return to Na-Shaddaar first. However, I truthfully cannot recall where on earth my character was when she saw Kreia's vision... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The exact place would be close to the pit in NAr Shadaa...just have Mira in your party(ideally only her) and run as close to the pit as possible and doing a circle lol...eventually will trigger a conversation with Mira and after u`ll have a Jedi Mira As dar as I remember should happen somewhere in front of the Cantina entrance(NOT The cantina itself but the door that leads to the entertainment area)..may be mistaken tho` <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes. That's the exact spot. In front of the cantina near the pit.
  6. Thanks Mach. Yes, I think there was a previous post regarding the editor. I will recommend it to any one who has already played the game a couple of times. It's a great tool.
  7. It should also not be ignored by Obsidian. C'mon devs, comments, rants, anything???
  8. This is great stuff! Thanks Eji.
  9. You can find KSE (KotOR Savegame Editor) at: StarWarsKnights.com <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, I've got the original Kotor Saved Game Editor, does it work for Kotor 2 as well? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope. The original can't edit everything and I think there are some problems. Just click on the link I provided and you will be able to download the latest version (3.09a i think). It supports K2.
  10. You can find KSE (KotOR Savegame Editor) at: StarWarsKnights.com
  11. Actually I was Jad'en. I just didn't post much.
  12. Ehehehe thought you werent gonna get the game Hades <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hades not only got the game, but he is in fact, modding it!! How about that?
  13. IMO, Dantooine is easy if you are Light Side. If you are Dark Side then you might have a tough time defeating a powerful boss. Specially if you go to Dantooine right after Telos.
  14. i don't really care what you or other people think about it, but since i have good taste it might be useful for the hoi polloi to know that i think the game is good... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> hehe, right there with yas poolofpoo <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah. I'm with you too. If some people hate the game so much, why the hell they keep coming back to this forums. This is just beyond me.
  15. Yeah! So i guess this thread is still semi-useful :D
  16. You should have stopped posting while you were still making sense. The 82865G isn't a motherboard model. It's a particular kind of on-board 3D graphics controller, used on several different motherboards. I'll plead guilty to writing a vague post that opened the door for you to make a silly assumption. But just because I opened that door didn't mean that you had to walk through it. Again, did you seriously think that someone posting about a graphics chip would blame the graphics chip if he wasn't using the graphics chip? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Err...do I have time to take my foot out my mouth? :"> You're right. I got a confused between the motherboard model and the on-board controller. I gotta pay more attention. Sorry 'bout that. Nevetheless, I stand on what I said about being a little more specific with the specs of the machine you tested it in. But, you already conceded that point. Okay. I guess I better shut up and pay more attention.
  17. Yeah maybe I would do that do. Maybe if it will be really good I will buy it afterwards. But if K3 has no Revan/exile, then I'm going to bomb LA. Simply. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> if someone actually did bomb lucasarts, i think you just incriminated yourself. *copies and pastes for future blackmail* " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> :D
  18. Yes, it's the same guide. And word of advise, don't buy it. Prima Guides are always incorrect. You will be better of donwloading a guide from gamefaqs.com. Or if you have a suscription to Gamespot or IGN you can download their guides as well. Note that the guide from gamefaqs is free...
  19. I know I would buy it anyways. But I will feel cheated, because neither Revan's Story nor The Exile's were completed. The ending of K2 begs for continuity and conclusion.
  20. Gosh ---- what possible relevance does a motherboard video chip have when you aren't using it? You seriously thought I was posting that having a bypassed video chip on the MB could crash KotOR 2? Edit: OK, the chip does a couple other things too. But still... I've never heard of anyone having problems with the chip unless they were using it as the graphics controller. @Darth Ni: KotOR 1 ran quite well with the on-board video, actually. I was surprised. NWN runs too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You never mentioned on board video. Your vague post didn't include any other specs, except the model of the motherboard. It was clear that you were putting the blame on it. Just read what you wrote in the topic: "Won't run on an Intel 82865G (yeah, I know!)"
  21. Great job Obsidian!
  22. Revan and Exile
  23. Yes. Only the PC can get a prestige class.
  24. Grrrrr!!!! I am so disappointed. I liked the game. The ending was okay. But they cut that???? Damnit! What the hell where they thinking? The game would've been ten times better with an ending like that. I just don't belive it. It was a masterpiece and they just throw it down the drain... Now that we know about the "real" ending, LA should be thinking about making a patch that will allow this ending to be in the game. There are a lot of dissapointed and ANGRY fans around here.... And I don't blame OE. They just followed orders from LA. I am so pissed off....
  25. Using the on-board video? What were your settings? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did you actually said you tried it with the on-board video? You just stated that it didn't work on 82865G motherboard. So you probably should've been a little more specific on the specs. And to answer you question. No, I played it using a nVidia 5700 card.
