  1. *rising sense of panic* Alanschu lost the internets!
  2. I assume you like the KotOR series then? Eh, even those two I've only played through once each. Ok, then the curious part of me must ask, why a forum for a video company that makes RPGs? 'Cause he likes a forum with some junk in the trunk.
  3. RCL? Carl Gustav = disposable anti-tank = Raaaagh! BIG SMASH!
  4. I suddenly remembered the song 'Closing Time' by Semisonic. I now feel compelled to wander the darkened chilly streets and find a pub.
  5. Being a cyber-cretin I can't explain the technical reason. It's just that massive long threads annoy the servers or something. It's either close and renew them, or we have to buy the servers ice-cream.
  6. On that rather atypical, but welcome note, we move this to http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=48556
  7. The ongoing saga of awesomenes what is the lives of the members. I'm currently languishing in a large bean bag, after having been hopped up on a half gallon of inoculations this morning. My left arm is beginning to stop moving. It's kind of cool.
  8. I understand that you might be using the suppress feat out of goodness, but I only did it because (as expressed in dialogue options) I refused to be governed by some alien hunger.
  9. Oook.
  10. Provided they don't learn anything from me. I more sort of protract with a wooden butt.
  11. *Walsingham prods topic with a stick like some sort of ape* EDIT: I don't want to imply I poke apes with sticks.
  12. Having about the same ability to understand technical issues as a concussed bee, can someone please explain: when do I get to play more content using NWN2?
  13. I concur. She was also terrifyingly dull.
  14. Oh yes (and the radio adaptation, too). Every so often I hear some extremist religious nut speaking on the radio and a chill runs down my spine as I think of the Republic of Gilead, but I console myself with the thought that the overwhelming majority of Christians would find it as repugnant as I do. Funny thing. You spoke to the majority of whites under apartheid they found it repugnant. It doesn't take everyone to enforce evil.

    skiing

I'm not a fan of hurtling down mountains. I climb up mountains, like the portly mountain goat I am.
  16. Reincarnation ought to be falsifiable, at least in individual cases. I've not seen any tests.
  17. I saw this on the day in history. http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/s...000/2536661.stm You want to be famous, and get killed? Save a life, don't take it.
  18. I freaking hate illithid. My main character had all her brains sucked out and I didn't notice it was down to 3 for AGES. I had to jump way back and reload.
  19. Hurlshot has a point. I mean the uS is nothing compared to Brazil. They have a higher death rate than Iraq!
  20. Heh. Agreed it's not exactly reliable. But during the revolution al sorts of weird stuff was going on. One of the White Russian groups on the British side tried electing tehir officers, and being 100% democratic, with the result that they never went on operations.
  21. The sad truth may be that the enslavement of women through a 'gilded cage' of protection and/or enlightenment is not isolated to religious fervour. Viz this historical archive piece detailing the 'nationalisation' of women under Russian revolutionaries in 1918: http://www.naval-history.net/WW1z05NorthRussia.htm#6
  22. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7130504.stm Apparently he wanted to be famous. I'll just say that again, because I'm having trouble believing it. He wanted to be famous. FAMOUS FOR WHAT? WHAT IS THE POINT IN BEING FAMOUS FOR BEING A COMPLETE WANKER? *sobs* Oh the humanity.
  23. If you're the comedy animal then I can't be the orangutan!
  24. ...And plenty comes from science. People are prejudiced because they're weak or scared, lazy, or all three. How they justify the prejudice is just the wallpaper on the house. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else had read The Handmaid's Tale. They're re-running it on BBC7 radio, and I was reminded of how useful a dramatisation can be in bringing home emotional reality. I know Sand would love it.
  25. You know what would also stop it? Powered armour. Hard to go on a rampage using Carl Gustavs. The ROF is much slower.
