  1. I remember my friends having it. It was pretty cool. But I didn't know he was a real person for years.
  2. Well, the fact is that outside of most places and people you're much more likely to spawn babies than get/infect with HIV. But point taken. I just mean that when you're young you don't want to have kids because you think there's plenty of time in your life and you want to do other stuff; whereas when you're older you realise there's no time at all, and you had better get doing the other stuff right now. In many respects it's a lot like finding time to have dentistry. You can well believe that the dentitsry is a good thing, but it's expensive, time-consuming, hard to fit into a schedule, and painful.
  3. I remember you saying about that hangover. I could feel the pain from here.
  4. I finally started to get over my hangover just in time for bed. I think 6 episodes of Angel helped.
  5. I agree. Integrity is good, but was it really worth his job to make us popcorn eating swine not buy a game?
  6. Rhomal, I can see your advice is perfectly sound, but I would simply not be me if I gave up on projects just because they were stupid.
  7. Well, obviously. I AM everyone on the internets.
  8. What would be the advantages to dual weilding? I'm prejudiced against it on grounds of 'certain' drow.
  9. I think any boy his age needs a dinosaur.
  10. I'm confused. So I have a kid and I quit on my own future? That sounds bad.
  11. We were the Empire in those days. Imperial rules. You play to keep or you get to be the ruled.
  12. And you're that fun roundabout thing.
  13. Thanks for the advice. I'll see what I can do about getting some extra cash to spend. By the way, I have two card slots on my motherboard. If I upgrade and later find my original card ust needed some more peanut butter or something can I 'dual weild' them together?
  14. I see what you mean. In that respect I agree,
  15. My existing graphics card is malfunctioning, and I'm thinking about simply upgrading rather than trying to fix it. I curently have a nvidia 7900GT. I've been looking around and can't make up my mind where to go. An 8800 is way outside my price range. I can 'afford' around
  16. ... I have good news...
  17. Maybe you feel that way, but was PST REALLY better than MotB?
  18. Alright then. It occurs to me it would makee more sense to have GD manage it, since I'm confident he can crack teh whip and knows where to crack it. HOw about I do two things before we kick off. 1) I do some work for Tale, doing some dialogue. That would help me learn teh system, and chalk up some credit. 2) Begin an outline of the story and main plot, then maybe get stuck into teh journal entries. If I can complete those then you'll know I'm serious, as will I.
  19. You'll have *this* and like it! A toffee.
  20. I can see that they'd be both war weary and not very keen on being ruled by anyone. I'm not 100% on being ruled by anyone either. Hence I support democracy. I want a say in things without having to shoot anyone. Maybe these chaps have realised that if stable democracy can be introduced then they can get what they want, or at least some of it, by 'jaw jaw rather than war war' as Winston put it. What bugs me more than anything is the perception I often meet of this meeting Coalition versus Iraq. I let that general perception bug me too much. I apologise. I very much appreciate you sounding out ideas, Steve. I know I have a lot of preformed ideas of my own, but I hope I'm not totally immutable. I may well be, but I try. I am just occasionally a little like this.
  21. I guess it could have been America, but I think the doctors are light on their history. Soldiers in the trenches had no need of Americans to give them bugs. They were ankle deep in water most of the time, in all weathers, and literally walled in with corpses; al the time surviving on no fresh vegetables or meat. You couldn't invent a more plague-friendly environment. I'm amazed it took as long as it did for an epidemic. I'm not saying it wasn't you fiendish yankees. I'm just saying I rate living in a disease factory higher. As for the Vietnam question, I can see I need to go back to school and look at Ho Chi Minh again. However, ignoring any temptation to get bogged down in a Vitenam discussion here (we can always do it somewhere else), I don't see how the anti-domino theory concordes with the fall of Laos and Cambodia.
  22. I think dialogue will be tricky. But if you're up for it...
  23. She's hot in a kind of physically highly toned, but spent last ten years wading through slaughter kind of way. I think I'm going to be able to handle the central theming, but some subsidiary adventures would be cool. You know, things she can send people on, other things to be happening. I mean just being a gopher will get tired fast. At least one thing I was thinking of was to tie in the soul-eater thing from MotB. I'll try to not to get spoilertastic, but there's obvious room for someone like that with another mortal turned superbeing. Although I'd like to leave room for new characters. Xan would be an interesting guy to have around, I did think his philosophy would provide some good extra commentary. But I see him more in a kind of 'I couldn't be bothered to leave the mine' thing. After that it would be amusing to see how you gain influence with him.
  24. It's based on personal preferences. And it's that's dead. And I was thinking of having him as an entirely non-Jeeves butler spirit. The basic plan is to have the Lady of Murder as bhaalspawn, obviously, and a bit less into fanboy clerics who go around murdering for no reason. Murder for no reason is like low fat yoghurt. And she likes accessorising. It's a nightmare trying to find shoes that match platemail.
  25. Er... 1! Good advice, Steve. I'll try storyboarding it first.
