Ah, nostalgia!
Wow, is that for real? It reads like a bad joke but it has just enough fact in it to make me think maybe somebody is serious. The _Japanese_ government is conspiring against Jewish Americans? Wow. Just wow.

Women in Iran
Is this going to be another of our amazing circular debates, or are we going to be more interesting? has anyone eher actually been to Iran or is Iranian? Or a woman?

The satanic teddies
If you are interested in Sudan, I can't recommend any book higher than 'War in Darfur' its awesome. Very clearly set out, but also very heavyweight in expertise. Anyway, to chip in on Tale and nick, it sounds like you're talking at cross purposes. If you're pointing a finger of blame then yes it comes to an individual's choice. However, if you want to apportion blame then you're asking a why question. Why did x happen? And that's clearly not all down to an individual. I'd suggest some sort of influence diagram woudl help, if you can be bothered to draw one.

Girl Commits Suicide Over Internet Prank
Well, we've known for a long time that we rock and/or roll.

What is with the new forum lay out?
If enough people want it back, we'd certainly talk it over.

Women in Iran
Agreed. Iran, for example, is perfectly willing to have women in University, and will even sponsor academics abroad, whereas the Talibs throw battery acid at little girls who go to school. There are variations, mon amis.

What you did today, part gazillion
Absolutely awful day yesterday. I had to get a taxi for 30 quid to get to my back specialist, then got told I was an hour late, and have to pay for half the session AND got no treatment. DAMNIT! I slouched away to see an ex, armed with champagne and good red wine. Great evening, with a good friend, but hungover today. Military style haircut today to make my sergeant happy. I now look like a fat teenager.

And so he became gay, and discovered tolerance. And lived happily ever after.

Years of gaming
Well, a lot of people are less enthusiastic, but I sure as hell think Neverwinter Nights 2, Mask of the Betrayer is as good as Planescape: Torment, particularly in the areas you mention.

RIP Evel Knievel
Doesn't say what he died of. My guess would be after so much body trauma he had cancer.

Planescape: Torment
I thought some of them were, but anyway they tried to be. t was all part of the thing in PST where it gave you things that were just there for the experience. Like the drinks in the Burning Man tavern.

Blizzard and Activision to become dreaded mega-studio
What do you have against Nestle? They cause the most cared for children in third world countries to be malnourished and poop themselevs to death. And they don't do it for love or God or country or revenge. They do it for money. I only have one boycott. You know I'm hardly a bleeding heart. But there are bloody limits.

Blizzard and Activision to become dreaded mega-studio
I'm living in dread of Nestle buying Obsidian, then I'll have to boycott the swines.

The satanic teddies
I feel sorry for her, and for her kids. It's the school which has lost out, ultimately.

The satanic teddies
The central government in Khartoum will benefit. They get to make us play nice for a bit for the sake of our one teacher (poor woman) while they whip up local support and continue the violent oppression of the regions, like (but not exclusively) Dar Fur.

What you did today, part gazillion
Yeah, like YOUR FACE! I was hungover today. I was out running last night and some friends saw me. I was inveigled into a public house. Drinking ensued. EDIT: I just finished Buffy season 5. What a great finale!

desktop grahics on a budget
I had a friend around todaya nd he's been enormously helpful. We are not really sure it is the graphics, and think it may be the memory transfer thingy on the motherboard. But I've got a nvidia 7300 in at present so at least I can use the internt. He's taken my card in return and is going to try it out.

Planescape: Torment
I agree that the sensory stone stories were good. I think I shn't ever forget the one about the retaliatory genocide. but I ask if you've tried to decipher the soul stones in MotB?

I'm not sure about an e-personality. Don't we all have personalities we adopt in social situations?
