What's going on in Boston?
I follow your logic, but I doubt there would be another attack quickly, even without media coverage. Quite apart from the simple logistics of building bombs, AlQ standing orders are to go underground after an attack. Disappear off the grid as fast as possible. * Not that low media coverage is imaginable in the US blood and bullets media culture. High competition seems to drive every media source to swarm (The Long Tail notwithstanding). One further thought struck me: Sunni based KFQs in Iraq regularly attack Shia pilgrim processions. I wonder if there might be an inspirational parrallel. * I don't if you can still get them, but after 9/11 the net was awash with AlQ training manuals. I DO NOT advise looking for these online or holding a copy. Ask someone you know in law enforcement if you can read one. DO NOT share any copies. It's very probably an offence, whatever country you live in.

What you did today
I should be clear that I jumped, but might have been pushed. Don't admire me on those grounds. Actually private eye was my first thought. But [long pause] What the hell. I may as well at least look into it. Strangely enough I am interested in ship construction as a bit of a hobby. But the really massive vessels. There's something as inspiring as cathedrals about such big man made systems. Particularly on the move.

What's going on in Boston?
My predictions are: 1. Poorly mixed, or partly separated ANFO devices - red core to explosion, lots of smoke, suggests combustion 2. Al Qaeda aligned group - multiple time staggered devices. Possibly just inspired by, but improbable. 3. Director of group is US national - significance of Boston to US independence 4. They will be caught - Boston FBI are **** hot at counter-terror and org. crime.

What you did today
I resigned from my job a while back, and today is my first day when I'm supposed to be applying for new ones. Had an awesome home holiday and feel about five years younger. But even my savings won't hold out forever. I'd like job suggestions from the forum, if the honourable members will oblige. I got fethed off with the old one.

How old are you?
I always feel younger than I am, because I have a habit of dating women a year or two older. Women over 25 all think they are about to die of old age, and consequently by comparison it's all good. The one time I can recall (offhand) dating a properly younger woman it was like dating an alien. A sexy sexy alien.

What you did today
Up betimes and ate steak. Then settled down with a good bottle of Chilean Syrah-Grenache and Space Marine. That game is both my favourite and the one I despise the most. The controls are almost random regarding when you pull a move or not, and I fething hate that. But equally I've never played any other computer game that made one feel actually victorious and got the pulse genuinely thumping like a kettle drum.

Margaret Thatcher is dead
I re-iterate the point that Margaret Thatcher wouldn't have given a salt and vinegar **** about people partying after her death. That's what 'contempt' is all about, and she was utterly contemptuous of the kind of people who are doing the partying. That contempt was one of her critical weaknesses, because ultimately she disregarded too many people. But without it she wouldn't have got anything done. Personally I'd rather people partied after MY death than ignored me, as seems rather more likely.

How old are you?
Current age + "happy birthday" = one less lock on personal data. With that in mind may I say I'm 107. And my birthday is the 15th of Grune.

What you did today
Being myself a fellow of wide shoulder and tiny legs I can sympathise. Off the peg suits are an impossible dream. Not sure a kickstarter is needed. really all you need is to find an agreeable and trustworthy needle-weilder.

Margaret Thatcher is dead
If you want to know what would have happened to Britain without Thatcher <so sez my mate> look at France.

What you did today
Today I have been actching up on Youtube material on (obviously) Project Eternity, and also Felicia Day. I'm doing admin, so it's basically radio, but I still think Felicia is sexy in my ears.

Margaret Thatcher is dead
Can we table the merits of the 'better devils' for its own discussion? I feel the relevance to Thatcher is now clearly made as a subject. In so far as going bonkers right wing, that's certainly how I remember it. However, with the benefit of hindsight I can now see a lot of serious issues with the role played by Big trades unionism in making Britain a basket case. I'm actually a fan of organising at a grass roots level. But the dream for many of the little sods in the 70s and 80s was a communist revolution. And I think it's sufficient to say that a dictatorship of the proletariat is still a crap deal in my opinion.

Modern wars
I thought you said you were American, old boy? EDIT: Watching that video, while sympathising with the poor terrified bastards I did think "Is that T72 trolling by making smoke like that?"

Political correctness gone wild
Query: It seems to me that the demand for political correctness is an attempt to neuter governance. As (I think) pictorially represented above. 1. Is sexual dimorphism something we can logically refute? 2. Is this similar to demands by some sectors for repressing homosexuality. Disjointed question, but interested.

Apparently there is a USS Ponce. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Ponce_%28LPD-15%29 Proof that you can be a multi-million dollar death machine and still get mocked.

Margaret Thatcher is dead
Hugely amused by knots of teenagers waffling on about how bad she was. Not here, just in pubs all over the place.

Africa
Why in the name of ungodly toad-crisps would Nigeria POSSIBLY need nukes? Their only significant security threats are internal! WTF are they going to do? Nuke Ilorin? It's like giving a man a shotgun when he's trying to swat away tsetse flies. ~~ ASIDE: do put mor effort in, old boy. Even 'obyk' wouldn't be proud of arming North Korea. Stay in character or you won't get XP.

What you did today
I'm only saying this because I've been in the same place more than once, and (as most of us do) I try to make others validate my decisions SO... This is a rude thing to say, but I guess I can since I don't know her and it's not like a personal insult. There's a good reason why you wouldn't normally imagine being in this position. It's because it's a mess. Messes are inherently exciting, and often seem harmless because they're exciting. But they aren't once the first buzz wears off. My advice is to back off immediately. Stop sleeping with her. Help her. But don't ford straight into something immediately. Lend her money to get a place on her own if you have to. Just don't let her into yours. If she's still interested once she's made the break properly and is running under her own steam, then fair play. caveat I am after all an Englishman and emotions are to be feared and mistrusted, like sheep.

a halfstarved lvl 1 goblin about wiped out my party
Thing to remember in PnP is it's 'real'. Any lowlife furry dust-soaked halfwit can put a length of cast iron through the hero.

Legally Obscene: Rape, Statutory Rape, and Child Support
So, okay, it's been a while, I want to make sure I've got everything straight. I'm Kreyzak, obyknven, and Cyclone Man, right? No, not Krez. Krez is a real person. EDIT: you WISH you were Krezack.

Cyprus Financial Crisis, a real collapse possible?
I don't exactly 'like' what Meshugger says, but it's damned relevant. Is it the Northern League in Italy that wants to secede? Parrallel?

Legally Obscene: Rape, Statutory Rape, and Child Support
I would gently suggest to newbs that they re-read this thread keeping in mind that LoF and obyknven are the same poster.

The Falklands Referendum
Ultimately, for my money I'd accept either British affiliation or complete independence. But Argentine rule is just ****ing nuts. Actually, somewhat reminds me of Solomon and the women and the baby.
