  1. I'm particularly glad that this has surprised some of you chaps as well.
  2. And I view posts like this as what would have happened if I'd studied philosophy or literature rather than something useful.
  3. Well, it certainly used to. Now I think they just don't know what they'd do with them all if they arrested them.
  4. How is it any better than a BMP-3?
  5. So essentially, the key is the rapidity of the reaction, and the ease of initiation? That is interesting... So if you could somehow improve the ... I'm going to stop before I work out a way to make explosives out of anything.
  6. "Boy, 12, sought for sex attacks" ...Sounds to me like the most horrifying want ad, ever. Rather than a BBC headline. I also misread "McCartney plays surprise London pig"
  7. Actually, this one's not too bad. The shoulders seem quite natural. For godzilla a guy in a Godzilla suit.
  8. What are you willing to do in exchange for me making a rude noise then kicking a squirrel?
  9. Maybe because so many of our homegrown jifs are peddling about other countries shooting or blowing Muslims up.
  10. The guy quoted the energy as being roughly 1.7kj. To which I scoffed. I simply refuse to believe that the energy consumed to throw a bullet hundreds of metres is that small. If so I've probably eaten more energy than was fired off in WW2!
  11. Models aren't usually my thing, but I think we can agree to make an exception here.
  12. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-24582781 Thought it was worth highlighting since some of you chaps keep demanding Muslims speak out. I wonder how many of you would speak out publicly if you knew you'd spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder. I wonder if I would.
  13. Holly Michaels Note: other images may be NSFW
  14. *shrugs* I did, a while back, from a PM. But you judge by what you've seen with the obsessing over racial purity, and Russian ultra-nationalism. It's a pretty shallow role to play, and not terribly well done, since the grammar and spelling mistakes are not even superficially consistent. Plus the bloody grammar yo-yos all the time between mono-syllabic and multi-syllabic. It's the complete 100% unnecessary quality of the offensiveness that irks me, quite honestly. There are many good arguments for engaging with real people with offensive views - that I've got tired of. But I can't see earthly use in this bollocks, since it's impossible to engage with someone who isn't real. Forget I brought it up.
  15. When onions browned, added sardines, grated carrot, sliced apple, chillis, fennel seeds. Weird, I know. But I was in the mood.
  16. Of course he couldn't have actually said that, because we have a zero tolerance policy.
  17. But is he intentionally being racist? That's the salient question the answer is "14/88"
  18. My dinner plans changed, so I'm aving tinned sradines over rice. Of course this simple meal may be augmented by fried onions, garlic etc.
  19. Hey, Woldan! Your special skills required. I believe I've already lost this bet, because I was talking arse generally. But I'd still like the correct answer. This fellah was sounding off about the energy in a can of drink. For the sake of argument, say 300kj. His comment was "That's more than it takes to fire a gun" My immediate response was to say that he was talking balls. I'd like to know how much energy is actually in the propellant for a 7.62x39 FMJ, and (for the sake of interest) in a .50 cal desert eagle round. I am assuming that this is NOT the same as the muzzle energy. Although I would not be surprised if it was.
  20. ...You... haven't worked with government much, have you?
  21. Still, it wouldn't be the first government information technology (GIT) system that was utter balls.
  22. Nothing funny about racism. Except for maybe those funny shorts Nazis wear sometimes.
  23. I remember this mysoginistic woman hating swine as an undergrad asking me much the same thing. I simply shook my head and said that when he could understand the answer he wouldn't need to ask the question. OK, so I didn't say it that clearly, but you know what I mean.
  24. I used to like Angostura 1919 rum. But they changed the recipe last year to make it sweeter. Idiots. You could leave dregs of a glass in a room and the next day it would smell of vanilla. *beat* Hey, you don't think they'd have beavers in the Carribean?
