For what it is worth, I really like the concept.

In Kingdom Hearts, entire worlds with billions of people are killed. Those Disney games need to get rated Adults Only.

Will Wright is really good at making sandbox games fun.

The Sims had a bit of a learning curve, especially when it came to design. Spore looks to start extremely simple and progress from there.

If you want high fantasy, I always felt Dragonlance delivered that better than Forgettable Realms.
