Caitiff generation is determined just like any other clan. For each point you invest in the Generation background, you lower your generation, which raises your max bloodpool by 1. The difference between 13th and 10th Gen is really minimal if you ask me. However, at 9th Generation you can begin to spend 2 blood per round. If you have disciplines that require blood expenditures, this is rather nice. However, going down to 9th generation requires 4 dots in said background.

Eru's character is 13th Generation because he did not invest any points in the Generation Background. If he'd like to move around some points that would be fine.

Most of those status effects don't seem necessary. If you build around melee, then you can cut a path through most anything in the game with little trouble. Kreia then casts LS buffs on you to even further remove any difficulty from the equation, which can be compounded with Force Wave, which does damage, spaces out your enemies, and stuns them as well.

Though I don't know that we would go galavanting around except for two things. 1 - Kreia strongarmed him. 2 - If Mandalore hitches a ride with someone like the Exile, he is bound to find combat and glory.

Halo also had weak AI and really boring, repetitive level design. Given very few weapons, very few enemies and really boring level design, I have no idea why the game is heralded the way it is.

No, he is the Master Chief. However, you're not missing anything with Halo. For many it was the first FPS game they played multiplayer due to split-screen or system link. The game really isn't that great, but it is one of the best selling titles of all time none the less.

I think combat in the D6 system to be quite simple. L5R is simple all around, very quick and quite lethal. I rather like it.
