Gaza Strip
They could have. The UN told them to share and play nice and Palestine refused. But let us not punish the petulant child, let us punish the people who had no home and were victims of genocide. Palestine occupied that land because the Jews were forcibly removed from it in the first place. I love how people COMPLETELY discount that fact. So let me ask you, how do you determine who has a right to the land? The people who lived in first or most recent? Because if you say first, then as the Muslims are a later branch of Judaism, the land belonged to the Jews first. If you say current possession is 90% of the law, and we'll rule that if you occupy the land now that you own it, then you cannot justify forcible relocation.

And your statements that you're the only one here who probably understands shorthand? You made several statements bragging up your knowledge and then turn around and try to downplay it. You directly said as well that you had less experience than I which is a flat-out lie. You also defending maintaining a game with players getting unfair advantages. Then you turn around and say you were for a reset, when every other player claims to have voted for a reset. One player didn't, and you were the only one defending continuing the game. Hmmm....

Except that you don't understand terrorism. You link terrorism to unemployment. Check the poorest countries in the world, and in most cases you won't find terrorism. But you will find terrorism camps in relatively wealthy areas? Osama Bin Laden wasn't driven to terrorism because he was poor. Terrorism is a result of zealotry, not unemployment.

I love how criticizing murder suddenly became holier-than-thou. I love how you trivilize such things. They were given an opportunity to move. Sharon has made no statement that I've seen that the government is buying these people new homes. And they aren't just moving neighborhoods. These are kids whose lives are in danger every day, now suddenly being ripped from their homes forcibly by armed soldiers. I'm sure you went through that in your childhood as well. If not, perhaps we can arrange it so you can compare the experiences? Giving up the settlement was not only morally wrong, but I will bet money that it does little to prevent violence, while on the other hand it weakened Israel's defenses against terrorism. That's a win-win! Some justification for victimizing 9,000 people. I've said it multiple times. Majority population is not justification for forcible relocation. Let's take Manhattan and its 52,000 people per square mile (denser than Mexico City's poorest areas) and take the smallest majority and just forcibly relocate them as well. Any nation dealing with DAILY terrorist attacks would protect their borders as much, if not more. Israel is routinely villianized for defending themselves. Why is that? No one here is defending terrorism? No one is denying them a homeland. Yet you are all for forcible relocation of innocent people that serves no real purpose.

Obsidian Forums Diplomacy Game 1 (OBS-1)
You claimed that you had no experience with the game what-so-ever, which you have repeatedly contradicted with other statements. You outright said you had less experience than I. Have I ever played or even seen the game? No. Had I ever read the rules? No. Were you intimately familiar with seeing entire games play out? Yes. Those statements don't reconcile. But you can continue to back-pedal.

A Thought on MMORPGs
I don't care for MMOs and I think most at their core are the same (gold farm, level grind and PvP) but I see what advantages they have. I just don't particularly care for them.

The U.N. is ridiculous, seriously ridiculous
You said you would have criticized a Democrat for the same thing. You didn't actually criticize Democrats on any level however. You simply critized a Republican for a situation that was akward. The guy was surrounded by little children and television cameras while discovering news that the United States had just suffered an attack worse than Pearl Harbor. I'll agree his reaction didn't come across as strong, but he didn't panic either. I'll also note that I never once came across a single Democrat who criticized Clinton save for myself. The guy gave China favored trading partner status as China was threatening to use nukes on Taiwan. Amnesty International and the UN were up in arms over human rights violations, and American businesses were up in arms over China's admission of pirating billions of dollars of IP daily. Clinton just said, "let me rape the trade deficit even more". Clinton was also linked to a Chinese business official that was found buried in Arlington National Cemetary, and illegal campaign contributions from a foreign government, namely China. The guy changed his story every two seconds and refused to admit anytime he was caught in a lie. "It depends on what your definition of is is." Surely Clinton had just as many moments, if not worse when he made himself and his country look bad. To say that you would have criticized Clinton isn't necessarily a bipartisan statement. You only criticized Bush, and I sure didn't notice any Democrats criticize Clinton when he made mistakes.

Obsidian Forums Diplomacy Game 1 (OBS-1)
Take chess for a common example. One player might announced "checkmate in 3 moves". The other player can then conceed that checkmate is inevitable and honorably agree to end the game, or force moves at their discretion. In that case, players decide to play as long as the game is enjoyable which may be to the full conclusion or not. In two seperate instances I have seen you defend continuing a game that isn't fun for others. I could even push and possibly gain an 18th supply center as early as this Fall, though it would most likely happen in the Spring if I wished to. However, as a celebration of a successful alliance, I am content declaring two winners in this game rather than claim glory for myself. I also made it a point to send a message to Baley thanking and congratulating him on a good game. In addition to you twice pushing the game into a realm where it is no longer fun, I've seen you lie out of game. At first I considered it might have been miscommunication, but you insist that you had no prior experience with the game after making a big deal about how experienced you were. Then I notice a comment where you mention "I haven't seen a game before where this happened." If you have seen games played out, or participated in them on any level, you are clearly more experienced than a person who entered with not having seen or played the game before. You agreed yourself that lying out-of-game isn't cool. I've tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but these three examples make it clear to me that you are a player that I'd rather not play with.

Who needs a manual anyway? If you could read the manual, you might contact info for LucasArts technical support and complain. I'm sure they wouldn't want that!

Obsidian Forums Diplomacy Game 1 (OBS-1)
Given that Kaftan doesn't have a supply center that is silly. You're just being obstinate for the purpose of being obstinate. I sincerely think that you fail to understand the purpose of a game is to have fun. Whatever. Moves have been submitted. Don't expect me to ever play in a Diplomacy game that you are involved in.

Gaza Strip
Given that the Jews were forcibly moved from their homelands in the first place by slavery, they were being given back their original homelands, and only when they no longer had any home after the Holocaust. Given that they were forcibly moved, and had no place to live, it was a unique situation. I have said repeatedly that two wrongs do not make a right. Regardless of the past, we have to accept what has been done is done and make the best possible decisions regarding the present situation. Creating more victims doesn't fix anything. I don't completely defend the decision to create Israel as it is touchy situation, but people keep saying that Israel illegally occupies Palestinian land. The two governing bodies of Palestine at the time (the UK and UN) formed Israel. So that is all legal. The Gaza Strip never belonged to Palestine, so any legal arguement of Palestine owning it is just flat out silly.

New Aftermath Information
My question is that since Half Life Source used the old models and not the improved Blue Shift models, will they gimp the Blue Shift source models?

New Might & Magic game unveiled at GC?
I expect this will be a good action game. However, despite the existance of skills, if the primary game mechanic is still twitch-based, then I'd say the game is an RPG-hybrid and not an RPG.

Obsidian Forums Diplomacy Game 1 (OBS-1)
The rules clearly state you can declare a draw before one player reaches 18 supply centers. However Reveiled insists on forcing players to continue a game the players declared reached an end. Very well, I will continue to submit moves but I think the whole thing in assanine.

Update on content patch please OE
1. It was finished 2. It was tested (by LA, so 100% chance of bugs included) 3. It was supposed to be released about 3 months ago <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep, yep and yep. I think LucasArts would rather pretend that KOTOR:2 doesn't exist at this point.

How does a voted representative necessarily make him or her partisan? Given that there is one representative for the US, we wouldn't have two representatives bickering over Democratic vs Republican platforms.
