Shall I swap from ATI to Nvidia?

The only developers who are screwed are developers who want to develop a multi-platform game. DirectX works fine for a Windows title. -

Windows XP doesn't have native support for OpenGL either. OpenGL support comes from your video driver, not Windows XP. However, some feel that the Windows API will try and hinder OpenGL with Vista. -
The PS1 portable and PS2 portables were quite ingenious in how he saved space.

Does Revan's fate make any sense?
EnderAndrew replied to Nur Ab Sal's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't blame MCA and Obsidian for going with a new character. I would have done the same thing. Why write for someone else's character? Why try to tell a story that is largely already told? Bioware had worked with the D&D license several times before with no complaints, but decided to ditch existing licenses after doing KOTOR:2. If rumors are to be believed, LucasArts drove Bioware away. -
Is that the case? I saw Bastilla in KOTOR:2 as I saw Carth as well. However my wife told the game that Revan was DS, and Carth didn't appear, and I assumed Bastilla wouldn't appear either. Does it matter if Revan was male or female?

You may be aware that Google announced it is entering the IM arena with Google Talk, built upon Jabber. I came across two very interesting opinion pieces on the whole thing, detailing what Google is doing right and wrong, and how the other guys will likely respond. http://www.livejournal.com/users/nugget/97081.html http://www.drunkenblog.com/drunkenblog-archives/000637.html A good point is raised. Originally, email was network-centric until people wisely adopted SMTP universally. Why don't we do the same with IM networks? People could still push their client for client-centric features rather than a unique network. As it is, I use GAIM anyways to connect to multiple networks at once. I would consider going to MSN, AIM or Yahoo Messenger if it allowed me to IM everyone at once and provided unique features. However, to talk to everyone I must eschew their clients for a more universal one, which isn't really universal so much as a client that patches other networks together loosely. Jabber is an attempt at industry standards for peer-to-peer IM servers. Google is not fully embracing Jabber, but half-builds on the promise of Jabber. It is a step in the right direction, but still a stilted one.

I've never heard Bioware throw Lucas under the bus officially, but I've certainly heard rumors that the reason they passed on both KOTOR:2 and NWN:2 is that they never want to have to work within the constraints of anyone's license again. Hence, Dragon Age and Jade Empire. -
Very dead Vrook. Very dead Vandar on both counts. If we're talking uber-Luke from the novels then Luke stands a chance. Very dead Rancor. Very dead Handmaidens as my very low-level Exile pwned Handmaiden in sparring all the time. Very dead Zaalbar I don't think Mira is stupid enough to go near a Sarlacc Pit. I'd like to see HK-47 vs IG-88.

Lucas has sued employees for breaching NDAs in the past. Lucas has also put the clamps down on Obsidian on what they can and can not talk about. Bioware decided after working with Lucas to never deal with existing licenses anymore if that gives you any idea what it is like to work with Lucas. -
Stuck On Nar Shaddaa.. and other things

First off, welcome to the forums since you appear to be new here. Secondly, I don't know that I got a cut-scene or anything. However, when I returned to the Hawk it had been taken over. -
That would be "Dirty Old Harry" :D As far as movies goes, somebody already mentioned Bladerunner. Wouldn't mind seeing a Leon II or a Sixth Element either. As for games, a real Master of Orion 3 or a Baldurs Gate 3 (the latter looking more and more like vapourware after that Atari guys accidental slip a long time ago) <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Luc Besson apparently doesn't mind crappy American remakes of Taxi, and he is fine with sequels to the Transporter, but we don't get sequels to Leon or Fifth Element? I remember when I used to think very highly of Luc Besson.

I still have a free version of Kazaa Lite K++, but I never use it. I find that Shareaza works quite well and has no adware. It connects to 3 different networks, and downloads bitTorrent files as well.

I doubt Kevin Smith will ever make a Dogma II because of the ****-storm that the first film started. I also think that he made his point. One, Kevin is down with God and feels that God can take a joke. Two, if we took everything Catholocism taught at face value, the world would be in serious trouble.

Peer-to-peer networks are accessed via programs like Shareaza, Emule, Bear Share, Kazaa, etc.

I wish I had a good idea what story Avellone intended to tell.

Indeed has more than one syllable however.

There is no official cannon for the second game yet.

Have you tried a peer-to-peer network? You may find a precompiled bundle with every Amiga game.

http://www.thetechlounge.com/review.php?di...6mb_pcie&page=4 Take a game developed around ATI and you will see the x800 XT stand toe-to-toe with the 6800 Ultra. Both cards will cost you around $400. Now, check an OpenGL game like Doom 3 and the scores reverse. So both cards are pretty comparable. The deciding factor for me between the two cards would be the superior drivers and stability NVidia is offering as of late. -
Since Eru wants a spot, he can have Alanschu's. Eldar can negotiate with Skynet about taking his place if he so desires.

Obsidian Forum Diplomacy Game 2 (OBS-2)

If Swe were giving support into GOB, Russia moving into Swe would cut that support. However, Germany can freely abandon Swe and allow someone else to move into it in a given turn.
