  1. The PC has far to much dialogue in the game. And people will complain that they don't like the selection of voices. People complain about voice acting as is, but what if you have to hire 8 voice actors for the main character?
  2. Watching the walkthrough trailer, the robes flowed quite nicely.
  3. I read Crying Freeman and Lone Wolf and Cub for a while, but I lack the money and time to read mangas all the time.
  4. Despite the look, and despite it being the Special Editions, I'm going to buy it. It's Star Wars.
  5. Back then the site was called Emode. I think Tickle bought them out and things may be different now.
  6. That sounds fun. Or maybe the Source engine. The physics in that are awesome.
  7. I took that test a few years back. Each one of my friends all got the same exact score. I think the test may be a little whack.
  8. I do believe you have to pay for the detailed report.
  9. Kingdom Hearts is on the PS2. It's put out by SqaureSoft, and one of the best selling titles on the Playstation though it was completely looked over at launch. The premise is that the Heartless have been invading worlds. They devour people's souls, and destroy worlds. You play Sora, a boy who dreamed of leaving his world, and travelling to other worlds. You receive a keyblade, a weapon that can destroy the Heartless, and travel to a variety of words to uncover the mystery of "Kingdom Hearts". The soundtrack is awesome, and the voice cast is the best I've ever seen assembled for a game. James Woods reprises his role as Hades, Billy Zane is the villian, Haley Joel Osmet is Sora, etc. etc. The game mixes characters from the Final Fantasy series with Disney movies. The Nightmare Before Christmas World is the best. Gameplay is relatively unique. It's somewhat of an action RPG in a 3D world. You control the swordplay with the controller, and battles occur in real time. You can script actions for your party, and you have magic, items, and stats a plenty. The real joy of the game is the level design. Once you get to Alice in Wonderland, and see the many ways each level can be twisted and changed around, you'll be amazed. The game has tons and tons of secrets to explore.
  10. Yep. He sure did.
  11. I just watched that again last night. I love that scene.
  12. Han Solo was pretty blasterproof. Greedo shot from point-blank range pointing directly at Solo, and the shot veered off five fight to the right.
  13. I'd rather have Angelina Jolie+Natalie Portman+Jennifer Garner in a hot orgy, but that's not going to happen.
  14. As far as the security concerns, I'll wait and see, but you're probably right. The reason being that an XBox is dedicated to gaming. It provides more gaming power for the buck than a PC. And games made for consoles are less buggy because you don't have to worry about hardware support for everything on the planet. Besides, as it has been pointed out recently, Dell's aren't really upgradable.
  15. I think you're dead on if you're alluring to the likes of Goodkind and Jordan. They've got good ideas, but need a good editor.
  16. I watched Raiders again last night. I think Lucas deserves credit for what he gave us. He did alot over the years. It doesn't mean that his work is perfect, or that he gets a free pass from here to eternity. He still stands upon a great body of work, but he's also made big mistakes.
  17. In doesn't even have to be the same style so long as it is the same caliber.
  18. I'm suprised Lucas didn't change that line in the Special Editions. Parsecs are units of distance, not time. The line still stands as a Lucas-snafu.
  19. Hey, I've liked Obi-Wan in all his incarnations.
  20. Well, when Emily Dickenson wrote, I have to believe that she was trying to express herself via her poetry. Perhaps she was her own audience and never intended anyone else to read her work. I have to believe that at some point, she did want to reach out to someone else despite being a total social recluse. It's part of the human journey. When I define art as being a form of expression, I mean exactly that. I don't mean to judge art by how many people receive it. I judge art by how effective it is in delivering it's message. There are artists who are quite skilled, very proficient with brush and canvas. But if their subject matter is mundane, and their finished product lacks any real meaning, then I would consider it bad art despite technical proficiency.
  21. The most dangerous character ever in my Star Wars campaign was an NPC called OS-3PO. He was a droid obsessed with conspiracy theories, and was very paranoid. He just out-thought everyone. Who needed weapons? Once, the most powerful Jedi PC in our chronicle decided to cross him. She learned to regret it.
  22. I hadn't really thought about that, but when Malak and Revan were around the Star Forge, they both turned evil. What if every Jedi and Sith that survived that battle was influenced by the Star Forge and became really evil?
  23. In all fairness, when outnumbered 100-to-1, Jedi fell to blaster fire.
  24. I haven't even watched the video footage yet. Maybe when I get home.
