  1. And yet it is still a level-based, class-based system with hit points. Three of my biggest objections still haven't been fixed. But trust me, I have many more objections to D20.
  2. No, not really. Not even a slight chuckle from that thread.
  3. What console RPG beat it out last year?
  4. I didn't play DF upon it's first release. Either way, I have encountered a major bug in a Bethesda title. I've gotten bored with Bethesda titles, but that is another story.
  5. I was that way for the first 26 years of my life. I couldn't gain weight to save my life. Now suddenly I put on about 30-40 lbs. this year. Mind you I probably needed to put on about 20.
  6. People tend to forget boxing is a martial art. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Boxing is a sport with very defined rules, many of which are designed to prevent injury.
  7. Mainly I played AD&D in Jr. High when I didn't know better. As soon as I discovered Rifts and Gurps I decided to try every game I could find. When 3E came out, it was a new game I had to try again. Also some people have run D&D games that I agreed to play in simply because I'm always the ST/DM and I never get opportunities to play in games.
  8. This is the greatest thread eva!
  9. I think T.O.M.B.S. goes for the win!
  10. Please tell me that isn't a real title. Actually, tell me it is! Always trust your imagination. It's usually much better than some fevered sweaty programmer can come up. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> While I have seen hentai games, I have never played one. And I hate to burst your bubble, but I made up the title.
  11. Seconded.
  12. I've played a good 50 hours into Morrowind and never hit a bug yet. Nor have I ever hit a major bug in Arena or Daggerfall. You may dislike the style of play, but the games aren't buggy.
  13. All of the above, and if we're going to throw in titles like Shining Force, then I have to mention Final Fantasy Tactics.
  14. My family makes for a good example for this debate. I was raised by my stepfather, atleast until I was 14 and kicked on the street. His two fully-blood children carry his genes, where as I do not. But I also have a brother from yet another father, two more brothers from another father, and an adoptive sister. Bob's two children that are all his own take after him the most, which leads some creedence to the theory of genetics, but I suggest it could also suggest that he nurtured them more. However, my family might suggest overall that environment is more important that genetic instinct as every single member of my family save for myself has ended up a felon and a high school drop out. Was I an individual enough to rebel against my family and emphasize on morality and education, or was the genetic information of my birth father (that I don't know) so overwhelming to over come my environment? The adopted sister, Erica, is not yet a full felon, but she did get caught with pot and some stolen check cards, and she is only 15. And Role Player, I think Anarchy is so good, it should be law.
  15. Congrats on your progress thus far. As mentioned before, your body will rebel initially against any new exercise regime. Before you begin any new exercise, stretch and drink plenty of water. You are going to partially tear muscles on a small level, but the next day after your first walk-out you will really feel the lactic acid build up. Stretching and drinking water will help prevent you from being really sore the next day. I went from uber-physical marine to a total mouse potato. Then on the fourth of July I played some kickball and football. Even though I drank tons of water, I was still sore three days later.
  16. People also forget the awesome power some martial artists can have in their punches.
  17. I'm just hoping players will be quicker to approach, and get diplomatic actions handled. I'm not suggesting we have a mandate of shorter deadlines. I just think we as players can get our turns finished quicker however.
  18. I got rid of most of my games, but I'll check what I still have and I'll post them.
  19. I'm mainly keeping the Gamecube for Twilight Princess. I was planning on getting RE4 on the Cube, but now it's coming to the PS2 as well.
  20. I'm thinking of throwing out the N64 and GC. I have a N64 emulator on my XBox, and the GC just gathers dust. My PS1 plays my PS1 "backups" that the PS2 doesn't play.
  21. I'm really excited. Hopefully we can start expiditing the game now that people have a hang of things. As always the Russian Embassy is open for foreign ambassadors.
  22. New topic. Do we really have control over our decisions in a day-to-day basis? Some psychologists suggest we have genetic memory and instincts that largely guide us. Some psychologists suggest that our enviornment dictates our behavior, and I'm not just talking obvious peer pressure either. Some theologians then throw into the mix that the man upstairs has a master plan already for you. Given the numerous forces of fate at play, how can we feel comfortable in the notion we have control over our actions?
  23. Nihilus could be a physical manifestation of the Exile's force wound. Never mind Revan being Revan and not realizing it. Never mind Tyler Durgen. The Exile and Nihilus can be in two locations and appear to be two seperate people, where as Nihilus was merely an extension of the Exile, whom was reclaimed.
  24. I saw a beautiful SNES sitting in a garage sale yesterday for $5 with two controllers. It was clean and in nice condition. My wife insisted I had a SNES emulator on my XBox and I didn't need the SNES, and that the main entertainment center is a bit cluttered with the N64, PS1, PS2, GC, XBox, DVD, VCR, Tivo and stereo.
