  1. I think so. I only saw bits and pieces.
  2. I had an exgirlfriend who routinely ripped my writing for about 18 months, so I stopped writing. Then I discovered she was insanely jealous and I just never really got back on the horse. Drop me an email and I'll send you one of my last writing projects that I considered pretty damned funny. I got 2/3 of the way through a slacker comedy movie script that I really loved. It was pretty damned funny, and I have the ending in mind, but I'm just not really happy with the ending. That, and well it is a movie I could never market so I don't bother. I've also written a bunch of short scripts, a couple of which we've filmed.
  3. Either you got another bad disc, your optical drive is bad, or the sector on your hard drive is bad. When installing, it is just reading files off the disc and copying them to your hard drive. Your video card drive hasn't come into play yet. Still I'd recommend upgrading your drivers none the less. The Omega alternate ATI drivers are pretty good.
  4. I'm all for dropping D&D altogether and playing the D&D settings with a better rule-system. Exalted isn't too bad, and neither is Earth Dawn. I'd like a good streamlined, balanced system. Mage: the Ascension had a really good magic system, if you ask me.
  5. Who wants peace? I say visualize whirrled peas and give pizza chants!
  6. I actually used to write a daily email/newsletter called Blind Scribblings and Incoherent Grunts. Each day I had a humorous prose/rant, a pun, a word of the day, a quote of the day, and then I started rotating in weekly features as well.
  7. Do you ever have that not-so-fresh feeling?
  8. Generally, developers who can work on their own timetable also self-finance.
  9. Mark Hamill was in a live action movie fashioned after an anime called The Guyver, nor MacGuyver.
  10. Millions of D&D fans (such as Lancer) however do. As much as he is uncomfortable with the changes made (all of which I feel were for the better perhaps other than AoO), imagine how uncomfortable he might have felt if we removed 3D6 character creation and 3-18 attributes.
  11. With the Pyramids I still manage pretty good growth.
  12. I happen to believe that culture is the offspring of boredom. When our other basic needs are met, we then strive for entertainment, be it Hulk Hogan or Hemingway.
  13. No, Mark Hamill was in the live action Guyver.
  14. "Now replacing cannon fodder!"
  15. I was damned tempted to post the sexy loser's comic myself, but I didn't want to push the boundaries too far here.
  16. Same with the straight romance. Dawn Star gives you a kiss, and you go to bed alone. They could have atleast left it ambiguous, but no, they clearly show you in bed alone.
  17. But then the scale for attributes wouldn't be similiar to that used in 1st and 2nd ed.
  18. No doubt precisely for that reason.
  19. I want my hot lesbian action to be graphic!
  20. Everyone does it because budgets keep escalating on projects, and people cram developer time in, with little time for proper beta-testing. The less they have to pay to develop the game, the better. But particularly buggy games are going to generate negative buzz, and may kill sales. You say it creates interest, but I don't think in a fashion that generates revenue.
  21. No doubt it would make it tougher to be an aggressor in war which I'm down with. Can we see decay and rot on bodies? I'm all for that.
  22. One could argue that individuals choose to submit to authority in some societal/government contract. As an individual I accept that it is not in my best interest to have to take care of myself completely alone. I rely upon society. I rely upon industrial roles that allow me to exist primarily as a consumer. In return, I must agree to a social contract in which I must abide (mostly) by American laws and try to contribute as a productive citizen, even if it means only so much as allows me to afford broadband cable (free porn). Isn't that what culture is all about?
  23. That actually makes me want to pick that game up. That is nifty!
  24. Herve Caen has copyrighted plague rats. He's working them into FOOL.
