Ooooooooooo... guns are pretty... :D

I'm with Plano on this one. There's lots of things that they can say to keep it secret without lying. I think there's a K3 in the works, or will be soon. We can only hope Obsidian is making it. Yeah, all you lurking devs, I'm talking to you! "

Not really but when I saw the giant bubble at the "opera" I thought they were watching a Bliztball match. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ha ha, me too. What was that anyway?

What fundamental force power would you want
Darkside replied to dufflover's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I voted for Force Sense/Sight, but only if you have to purposely activate the power. I do NOT want to have sudden flashes of my death and that of everyone around me. Other that that- lottery, anyone? " -
Who would you rather have killed?
Darkside replied to Darth_Onivega's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Agreed. I was kidding about killing the guy who voted for Atton. Okay, maybe not... -
My savior You can be: Valeria <{POST_SNAPBACK}> umm... as long as I get to pick my own wardrobe, deal? Why don't heroins EVER wear decent clothes? I know if someone was taking swings at me I'd like to have a little armor between me and their sword.
-
I suppose I'll save Baley then.
-
If they use the padawan/apprentice idea, the neutral master should most definately (sp?) be Jolee. Of course, he'd probably stab himself with his lightsaber before he called the PC a "padawan", but I doubt he'd argue with having a student. Kashyyk has to be boring by yourself.

While floating lightsabers is effective, I have to say it's the stupidest looking power ever (that's just my opinion, I don't want an argument). Force Fire, on the other hand, would not only do loads of damage, but would look uber bad***. It doesn't hurt that I'm a bit of a pyro.

I think it's a great idea, I hope they use this in KotOR 3. If only it had been in K2, Atton and I would have been unstoppable. I mean, I had to have taken him everywhere (except for Dxun, oh how I missed him jk).
-
But as far as he could see, he didn't have a choice. If he didn't obey Palps he would never be able to save Padme. The only thing Anakin was guilty of is being gulible enough to believe that old windbag.

When you try to define the line between light and dark, things become much more complicated, you will find. The darkness is not always corrupt, nor the light always pure, and everyone has a bit of both in their hearts (except for Palps); even Sion in all his anger tried to spare the female Exile from Traya's wrath. I personally believe both the Jedi and Sith are blind and arrogant, weakened by their extremist codes. It is love and compassion for all life that supposedly seperates the light from the dark, yet the Jedi try to follow the light by removing themselves from these same emotions. The Sith, on the other hand, allow their basic impulses to drive their every action. Even the most calculating Sith Lord made his or her critical mistake because they were under the arrogant impression that they couldn't be stopped, never stopping to think that these were famous last words. No, the most powerful side of the Force is no side. The Gray Jedi see the Force as a whole and thus have an understanding of life and the Force that cannot be reached by only seeing part of it. They are generally light-sided, but do not adhere to the Jedi's ridiculous (sp?) code. They are not afraid of their emotions, but aren't controlled by them. To some degree, Revan was a Gray Jedi (he/she became the Dark Lord not for power, to stop another threat. They never truly chose a side), and should be proof enough of their power.

Who would you rather have killed?
Darkside replied to Darth_Onivega's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I voted for GOTO and the guy with the death wish that voted for Atton (Baley doesn't count because he didn't mean it ). -
So baisicly what you're suggesting is if my female Exile is close to Atton and keeps him in her party enough, she and Atton will get bonuses to their stats whenever he's in the party because they learn to fight well together and support each other? And more time they fight beside each other, the higher the bonus? Something like that?

Sion was cool at first, but towards the end revealed himself to be a whiny idiot who was bitter because his secret crush was his mommy's favorite. I had to supress a few giggles when I (LSF) convinced him I "had feelings for him" just to see his reaction. I really like Traya, but the Kreia alter-ego ruined it. "I'll complain if you're evil, I'll complain if you're good, and I'll lecture you if you breathe!" First she lectured me about going out of my way to help others, but when I didn't help them lectured me about being driven by mindless violence. Consistancy? Revan was a close second. His/her tactics and concealed motives are absolutely brilliant, but I still have to give my vote to Nihilus. He came across as an idiot in the end, but the concept of who he was supposed to be was by far cooler than all the rest.

TSL Restoration Project: Work in Progress
Darkside replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Phew. I saw a post that said Lucasarts shut you down. You gave me quite a scare. :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just came from the same post. Talk about a scare! I don't have the PC version, but I intend to get it as soon as you guys finish. I can't wait for all the new stuff. You guys are my heros *sniff*. :'( -
Amen to that. The PC wasn't just born, surely they've done something in they're thirty or so years to warrant an alignment. And another thing, if I'm going to be grey, I want to be able to act grey. No more "do something good, do something bad, do something good, do something..." to balance my points.
-
He's sort of useful, but beyond that is nothing more than a bad comic relief. Please, give me Atton any day.

Games have a deeper connection than movies because you are part of the experience rather than an observer. The end of FFX made me very sad partly because of the end and partly because it was the end.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, that was exactly the game I was reffering to. I think I cried in FFX-2, but those were tears of joy. I know that was corny, but it was so sweet at the same time. I also got teary (don't think I cried) while reading the cut dialouge for Atton's death in TSL. The alternate LS ending cheered me up though. I'm having trouble remembering the others right now, but they'll come to me. Don't worry Metadigital, you'll have plenty of chances to laugh at me. P.S. I fell asleep during Titanic.

It's really hard to say. K1 was written better and had a better effect, but as far as blurring the lines between light and dark, I loved K2 for that. Plus, once you add in characters, K2 owned K1. Seriously, between KotOR and Jade Empire, I'm starting to think all of Bioware's characters have as much personality as cardboard. Except for maybe Carth and Jolee. I'm going to have to go with TSL on this one.

Brightness Bug after installing 1.0b patch...
Darkside replied to Arnkell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
All I can tell you is this: From what I've heard it seems a lot of bugs don't appear until you've installed the patch. Ironic isn't it? -
Oh lord, where do I start? Vader's death in ROTJ The Notebook- practically all the way through, my grandparents took me out to eat afterwards and the waitresses were all worried about me because my eyes were bloodshot from crying so much. Return of the King (end) The Land Before Time 1- Little Foot's mom dies quite a few more I can't remember right now. PS Don't get me started on the number of games I've cried during... am I the only one that cries in games?
