Kotor 3: Ideas and Suggestions
Darkside replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Let's see, face tattoo and black makeup, black hooded robe, and custom obsidian glass lightsaber hilt (its black AND shiny!) with a jet black blade. Hard to believe I'm really a lightsider isn't it? P.S. In case you couldn't tell, I'm all for customization. -
Show me proof! I'm not getting my hopes up yet. Wait, too late for that...

Glad to hear there will be a lot more art coming soon. Your work is, as always, stunning.

If you have something against Obsidian, feel free to leave. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't. So f*ck off! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whoa, relax. I'm sorry ok? I've had a rather sucky day and I just picked somebody to snap at. I apologize, but there's no need to get violent. And for the sake of staying on topic, how about "The Kotor 3 Team"? Pretty please?
-
Nah, the title would be more along the lines of "Fangirlism: The True Nature of the Darkside."
-
Nar Shadaa. Welcome to the jungle!

Better. For me, the clone troopers were cooler than the storm troopers, but didn't look as cool, and the question was who looked cooler. Of course, the clone comandos pwned in every way.

My thoughts exactly. I need only add this: ^There, that should be enough. " P.S. The show can suck for all I care, I am definately going to watch it! Oh yeah, and I'm usually not this crazy, my inner fangirl has only recently come out and I'm still learning to cope with it.

Love it. -
Darkside is my nickname at school, which is odd because I tend to be a bit of a pansy. I think it has something to do with my fascination with dark secrets, dark, mysterious stories, dark places, and all things supernatural . That, and it was the first thing I thought of. " Either way, Darkside just sort of stuck, and now I'm Darkside here and on Bioware (actually my Bioware name is Darkside117, with 117 being the Master Chief's Spartan number in Halo). Like others, I'm starting to get bored with it now. My avatar was just the one I like the best from the choices given because I'm too lazy to get my own, but I'm starting to look into that. My sig is a bunch of quotes I like that is always changing, but the first one, the one from Half Life 2, will probably stay. I chose it because I liked the fact that Gordon Freeman (the main character for those poor deprived souls that have never played it ) isn't some sort of superhero or the "chosen one", but just a guy who happens to the right man in the wrong place with enough guts to do what has to be done. He'll probably turn out to be a chosen one by the end of the series though. Companies can't seem to get away from that fromula. Oh, and googling "darkside" yields 711,000 results.

Will you buy LucasArts products after KOTOR II?
Darkside replied to ncr's topic in Computer and Console
Is that... AGH!!! IT'S A SW RTS!!!!!!!! LA HAS COMPLETELY FALLEN TO THE DARK SIDE!!!!!!!!!!! -
There is also some new dialouge with Atris when you first meet her on Telos, at least I think. Either way, it was the only time I actually got her to listen to me, let alone team up with me...

I don't really know my KOTOR stuff
Darkside replied to bd0493's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
NOT SO LONG AGO, IN A GALAXY RELATIVELY CLOSE Modder Wars Episode 4: A New Hope The ending of TSL lies in ruins. As the evil LUCAS ARTS turns its back on the dying game, it destroys any hope of TSL's redemption...or so it thought. But from the masses of pissed off fans rose a small group of rebels, led by the brave and noble AURORA, to save the game in it's darkest hour. Now, with the patch nearing completion (I wish) there is hope of the game reaching it's full potential, and at last, a chance for peace in the gaming community... Edit: ^I can't get the yellow to show... -
I'll take your word for it on that one. I went there for about five seconds one time, but the evil neon purple blinded me...

is there relly going to be a kotor3
Darkside replied to jodo kast 5's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I wish people would lurk a little before claiming the ending issue is "all Obsidian's fault". Practically every thread related in any way to the subject mentions LA pushing the release date. Seriously people, lay off of Obsidian. The fact that Kotor 2 was as good as Kotor 1 even though they only had a third of the time should tell you something about the team's skill. -
I once went through the entire game on Kotor 1 as a DSF, only to go pure light on Manaan, my last planet, but I've never done it the other way around. However, I have seen screenshots of DS Mira, so apparently someone has.

Strange, I never found the droid to be that difficult. I just walked in, used four or five force storms, and it died. Well, if you're having a hard time you could use the mine trick, then set one ranged character to a gun that deals ion damage and one to a vibroblade with ion upgrades, let them do as much damage as they can, and then go in and finish him off with a bunch of shields and any defensive powers you have. Force Heal is a good investment. But I still say a few good Force Storms from a distance should do the trick. P.S. It has a flamethrower?

...or you can run around the core in circles while flinging your lightsaber behind you, then running again... hey, it works.

Personally, I don't like what LA has become, but I will buy an LA game if it falls into one of the following catagories: 1) It's Kotor 3 or Kotor related 2)Gets good ratings 3)Obsidian has anything to do with it. Otherwise, no. -
One question about "Padawan Style", do you take them along just to train them, or would it be one of those K2 things where they come with you anyway and it's several hours later before you even become aware that they're force sensitive? If it's the former then I would prefer a hybrid between the padawan style and the "POW" style. For example, keep the transformations in K2 exactly like they are, but open training options after you convert characters to slowly build their power instead of giving all the powers of a full-fledged Jedi.

Oh Carth, always the hero aren't we?

... or to be tortured by a sadist, Launchie? Taking our roleplay a bit far, aren't we? " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is getting a little scary...
