  1. Ok, RA2, that's different. Was a generic YT-1300. Yes, I played way too much x-wing. Anyway, the ship was a rip-off and a really dull one at that. I didn't mind too much at first, but the darn thing just won't go away and we see it in obnoxious (identical), cutscene after cutscene after cutscene. If they were going for a retro-look they really failed, because though it looks like a brick, it is fairly modern for a brick. It's return also smacks of "incredibly icky plot device".
  2. Sadly, wearing pants on your head doesn't work like it did back in the Sudan.....
  3. So we have that one preview that guy typed in that said specifically HK-47, and there's also an HK-50. Is one source confused or do we have both?
  4. Well in the Foundation series, like a lot of scifi, by the time you have a galaxy filled with humans it's been long enough that either earth or whatever planet you like isn't around anymore, or ceased to be important so long ago as to be very nearly forgotten.
  5. Ok...... All hope for Ep III just died. Just looking at him on that poster I can see it's just going to be teen angst. I mean he looks like the type to bring a weapon to school or something in that photo. Bad Lucas. Bad...........
  6. I believe it was said officially somewhere in here that there's no demo.
  7. I think the Emperor is the only really maniacle or truly evil sith I've seen. Vader's great and all, but he's basically a lieutennant. This gets to what's so weird about KotOR for me..... Why or how does a melee-fighter end up at the head of an empire? I mean Malak is about beating people up in person, and it just doesn't seem right for someone like him to be mixed up in the whole galactic domination thing.... As for Vader being slow, a) the movies are old, B) he never had to be fast except in the one moment he was suprised... Finally, a question: jedi should be able to fly, right? They levitate things..... Why the hell does Palpatine just fall down a shaft???? Now THAT is lame imho
  8. A fuzzy bathrobe? I mean even a Sith deserves a to be comfortable sometime.......
  9. Eh, my guess is it would either artificially inflate the level size, or if you were using it to save time moving about, would problematize scripting, npc encounters, and add a problem with generally running in to too much stuff and not noticing what's around you.
  10. Maybe it's nostalgia but am I the only one who likes the original Jedi Knight 7 dark jedi? Sion is basically a rehash of Maw I believe, though maybe there's an EU precedent for such I don't really know, and Jerec had that whole creepy old emperor type guy thing combined with all the hipness of a Starbucks.... It was fun!
  11. I don't know, but please let it be something substantial. There was no sense of closure in either one, LS because it's just standing there looking silly with no additional info or idea what the effect of all this is, and DS is actually rather the same, though at least with that you have a fleet to distract you from the fact that the ending has NOTHING to do with the characters. A cliffhanger would be nice if there were a 3rd, though I'm not buying anything LA after this............ Aside from that the one ending I've really liked was the personalized HotU method.
  12. Of course they meant it to be like that. It builds character!: "Excitement, adventure.... A jedi craves not these things..."
  13. Yeah, was horrible. There was enough backtracking on Manaan already. It wouldn't be so bad at least if there were various things you could click on to go to so you didn't have to pay attention and hold buttons down drearily, but nooooooo
  14. Before KotOR my only knowledge of the valley was from JA, (a poor game I might add), and I was pretty disappointed with the KotOR version because it was so ridiculously generic. It was just one more stupid dungeon hub from bioware. That's all.
  15. Well of course underground, because he's Darth Israel right, so some archaeologist digs him up with some pottery sherds and assorted coinage?
  16. Ok, if Revan's DS then it's like comparing Nelson from the Simpsons to, I don't know, your favorite tv villian... Really, the levels in game don't correspond to the other things in SW just because they took the level cap and mapped everything onto that and the design of the game seems to not be based on correlating with existing characters.
  17. God, not a saber-whip.... I mean if you have that I guess the pc needs to be a Ferengi...........
  18. I don't use the toolset or anything but I've tried some user mods, and even the two official contest-winning bridge modules didn't really work. They had bugs, and were pretty lame. The pw's I've tried might be rewarding, but only if you put 60 hours in to get to the point where you can enjoy them. The quality just isn't there, and it's not worth the loss of the detail and personality of non tile-based environs at least for me.
  19. Personally I really dislike the tile-based games. They are quicker and easier to make, but the generic feel kinda ruins it for me sometimes.
  20. huh?????????/
  21. I betcha there'll be a button to open the door, but it'll say something like "For the love of god, don't press me!" or "Initiate torture"
  22. Kill it! Kill it now!
  23. What's with the background image? Is it a star up close or a planet being destroyed? If so, might be a plot point
  24. I thought the intensity of the beginning was because of a tighter and more linear story, as opposed to the latter hub-and-spoke generic area feel of the starmap search. What I hope has changed is that it'll actually run on ATI cards........
  25. It's so weird that they bring T3 back. He was the worst NPC by far. No personality, sucks in a fight, only good for hacking things, which was pretty useless and didn't get you as much xp. doesn't even #$*( talk
