  1. Well it sounds good that the dark side was called "rewarding" instead of "petty", but I have to say the tech stuff is inexcusable if true, because KotOR, like most stuff from bioware, is a buggy mess pure and simple, and the many people having serious problems with it, (just look at the older posts in the bioware forums, before everyone gave up), is proof.
  2. Come on, it's too early for gungans, right? Ewoks are ok if you can get a hunting license...... Really though, Star Wars is a kids franchise. This one is supposed to be darker, but Kotor 1 had that Episode 1 happy shiny people feel a lot of the time, unless you were dark and then it was just kind of odd.
  3. Nur Ab Sal complaining in 5, 4, 3,.....
  4. This really bodes well for NWN2, since then we'll have a solid interesting game, (ie not NWN), that's not consolified! W00T!
  5. If it's in-house at LA now, it's the kiss of death, so let's hope it's been scrapped. Nothing good shall pass their blighted threshold.
  6. Wow, this makes me happy. Was one of the things I liked best about HotU.
  7. Well for ls, just Joe, for ds, my favorite name to ever come out of the random name generator: Jerc Organ.
  8. The guy who's wife was cheating on him on Dantooine was a little pudgy, I guess.
  9. The point is to spend 20-40 hours in front of your computer doing something that doesn't require you to acknowledge anything about your life you'd rather not.
  10. There aren't many of them left with no technology so I doubt anything would get out, and besides, I think the star forge was their main deal. They might have some nifty trinkets laying around somewhere, but it was pretty clear that the sf was the thing tht enabled their empire, and using the force to control hyperspace travel would be inefficient when you don't need to.
  11. I have to say, the idea of some infighting on Korriban killing off Revan, or at least somehow stopping him from using that colossal fleet he had is a bit stretched. As I've said before, unless he parked too close to a black-hole there's no way he wouldn't have conquered the republic with that. (Oh, and from the star-forge and various things it seems like the ships could be largely automated and he had enough troops to occupy some key planets and then conscript more).
  12. It gave me "Jerc Organ" so of course I played the game as a jerk....
  13. Granting that it has something to do with lava, how do you manage to survive that? I mean in ROTJ he had no eyebrows I think, but still, he just looked like a prune. Unless most of his body is completely robotic or something it'll be kind of hard to explain. Stuff that hot usually causes instant death and carbonization (??) right?
  14. Yeah, why is it a spoiler if it's just a guess. Even as a "possible" spoiler, it's not a spoiler, just a possibility, right?
  15. I'm Naso1234 I think, the guy who was always complaining about how the thing didn't work and bioware never did anything. Seems it did turn out to be ATI's fault, as they showed A YEAR later, but Bioware was still not very nice or helpful about things and still had plenty of bugs beyond that.......
  16. Why does Revan's legendary status have to mean he's the most powerful jedi as a fighter? Napoleon was a short squat little man. He's fairly legendary... Why can't Revan simply be an exceptional jedi and a legendary tactician, general, etc?
  17. Ok, how was Revan mr. savior jedi man? I mean, I thought he was a great jedi but a lot of it was in the tactics and stuff. It was his strategies that won the wars and such. We hear of defeating Mandalore. I don't remember if that was personal combat or not, but non-jedi shouldn't really be able to stand up to jedi too much, and the party members are mostly just more powerful for convenience, right?
  18. The impression I gathered from KotOR was that Revan was not necessarily the most powerful of jedi but partly kept the order off guard with strategic brilliance. There's a lot more to a war than one person's melee abilities, and so I don't see why Revan could not just be very powerful and also pretty wily.
  19. Because he wants to spin around like a blue-stance n00b for a while, shout some stuff in all caps, maybe find a place on top of a giant pit where he can sit and the other guy can't get to him, and then after ruining the game for an hour log off and gloat?
  20. Thanks Akari, Feargus, and everyone at Obsidian for being so responsive as to justify getting this despite LA, and that says a lot!
  21. I'm not talking skill, I'm talking personality. The emperor does not seem like he should be a frenzied psycho but a calm and methodical evil guy. He reminds me of Boc from the original Jedi Knight or something in that little bit.
  22. I thought the Palpatine laugh and the silly way he swings the saber looked really dumb, which is kind sad. He's just going to be another cackling idiot evil guy. Also, Yoda in Ep 2, did anyone else who played JO, JA noticed that what he was doing was essentially spamming blue-style?
  23. I'm not quite talking about the election itself, or any of that. My characterizations are a bit drastic, but I've got some friends on the Christian right and this is what I've got from talking to them, and it scares me. I've never been a fan of Christianity to begin with, I'll admit, but it's moving further and further away from the actual peaceful teachings it claims to uphold. I'm not talking specifically about politics, but values people have. The lack of social tolerance. The death of actual American values. That life is seemingly valued ONLY when it gets you a foothold in someone else's bedroom. How we seemed, just for a little bit, to make some bit of progress from the ancient era in which nations were built solely on blood, and it seemed like the first nation founded on principles was going to succeed but now we're drifting back, following the course of Athens somewhat. I guess the Middle East is our new Siciliy. Anyway, I could go on, but I'm tired and disgusted.
  24. This isn't my country anymore. It just isn't. Christianity has once again become the enabling factor for murder. A fetus is sacred life but the neighbor next door isn't. I guess it's ok to kill people non-christian countries on the grounds they're going to hell or something. I know there are plenty of good Christians, but what I see in this country is dogged fundamentalism rapidly rising and it's largely based around this. They go on on Fox News about how Islam isn't really a peaceful religion despite all the claims but don't see their own has become exactly the same, just with more businesses and the trappings of legitimacy about it. Don't get me wrong, I'm for hunting down the terrorists, but that's not what we're doing. I don't know, this is rambling, but I just do not see the goodness in humanity that I used to. At all.
  25. Ok, no one has said so please: WHERE DOES IT SAY THE WALLPAPER JEDI IS ATRIS? It sounds like people just assigned the name to her because she's a woman and now think it's true when it might not be.
