  1. See, if I'd hear more such things, and of people I know that have the same taste in games (which both of you do to some extent), and important: of people in RL, I'd get it
  2. Which qualities are those? Keeping me intrigued during the whole game, or at least wanting to get over weak parts because I'm expecting things to become better. Less subjectively put: An stringent, evolving and involving storyline. Good narration. Original characters that fit into the setting. Humour that fits into setting, style and mood. Strong on the tactical side. Consistent style in writing and art. Etc.
  3. The 9600GT, nVidias new mid-range card, is listed at price comparison sites in germany. The prices however are more of a joke right now (about a week before they come out), being higher than the price of a 3870...
  4. I'll probably not buy it, not right away. It will take a few good reviews of people I trust first, as Bioware didn't exactly improve the qualities that matter to me in their games.
  5. It would be great even without that arm. Because of the intestines you can wear as bracelet. No, it's great because of other things. Speaking of intestines: Currently playing: Penumbra: Black Plague, Demo. I'm surprised about its extremely realistic lighting effects and interesting physics use. Plus, I can run it with all options up, yay! It's pretty scary, I'm still tense
  6. Massive Attack - Three
  7. But dude, what application uses these eight cores?
  8. Yeah, and with the extra current used you could power a small office with 4 people with computers and a single cpu server... Anyway, you have to suffer if you want to be top of the line (I never thought anyone would even consider to buy Intels showcase-thingie)
  9. How sick is that... Rather watch if it has to be mythbuster [edit] Oh, this thread has a topic. Well, today's dinner didn't come out as intended, because that stupid chicken saltimbocca just wouldn't get to a point where it was eatable. Other than this, nothing worth noting really... Except maybe that I've not been assigned a particular job at work today, so I spent most of my time there reading a lot of theoretical stuff on economy and programming.
  10. Helalyn Flowers - Voices (Steril Remix By Ewilking) Quite sexy electronic stuff
  11. How fortunate then that I've never played Grim Fandango, because my PC was unable to run it when it came out. I'm still not inspired enough though, to think more than: this could be a fun game, probably spiced up with a bit Terry Pratchett here and Nightmare Before Christmas there... Keeping the balance between fun and philosophy could prove difficult, but could be key for such a game's success (and for its rating by me )
  12. 780i is obsolete now, that 790i is arriving. Also, from what I gather, nVidia chipsets for Intel processors don't enjoy the best reputation when compared to Intel's own. As Sand uses one however, he probably is the more reliable source than me who merely read about it.
  13. Agreed, also, some lyrics are tragically beautiful. In Flames - My sweet shadow The Cooper Temple Clause - Fim-maker
  14. "jewish music" = klezmer? chanting in a synagogue? nail within, orphaned land, ...? leather strip - sleep is only heartbreak
  15. Whoa, that's one winter... it was much too warm here for freezing or snow all the time since december, but too cool to enjoy it as early spring.
  16. So bands do play in NZ after all Fields of the Nephilim - Power Fun, fun, fun!
  17. VNV Nation - Beloved (on Sanctuary Radio ) no pain remains no feeling eternity awaits
  18. Rotting Christ - Threnody
  19. Pornophonique - Lemmings in love c64 sound Keziah Jones - Where's Life? some funk once a year is ok, I guess...
  20. Haha, you're right! So my argumentation should be reversed too, which is a shame too, because behind my desk, things to be sold are stacking up. So, anyone care for Sugababes or Madonna CDs, a DVD-Rom, German Version of Midkemia Saga, a uniquely modded GF6800GT AGP with an Arctic Cooling cooler?
  21. As is the case with any euphemisms (and dysphemisms as well). It makes sense however, if one word becomes an insult, because it was used and then percieved as such by too many people, to replace it with something neutral. It should be something natural, used out of respect, and not something forced upon and disliked by the public, like the words described with 'political correctness' seem to be connoted with nowadays. [edit] I hope this was intellegible... And sorry for OT.
  22. Sarah Silverman - I'm f***ing Matt Damon
  23. I do like his voice, but if only he hit the notes a bit better...
  24. Now I have a reason to stay away from eBay, too... I was a regular customer and sold things every now and then. Should a customer base still exist in the future, I might continue selling, and stay honest, but without a meaningful rating and comment-system, I'll abandon it as a buyer's platform. The same would be true for price-comparison sites without the rating system for the shops: It just makes it impossible to be confident in a seller.
  25. I'd recommend 'Hamlet'.
