  1. Never played civ, but I know it's a TBS classic, so you're probably right, they may have borrowed a lot from there and fantasyfied it.
  2. Strange? It's just a fantasy turn based strategy game with quite some tactics and some humor in it. Or do you mean the story?
  3. Except for the special signs that are at shift+number, I pretty much type without checking, and using all ten fingers as taught in the first two weeks of my "IT" course at age of thirteen or something. Often, when someone talks to me while I was typing something, I can focus on the person while finishing the sentence without concentrating or looking at the screen. However, I often have to edit my postings, but mostly English is the reason, not typos. That typing becomes automatical while my handwriting had really become unintellegible, even by me, got me thinking. Nowadays, I often take notes by hand, and write letters with my fountain pen (?), so by now it's become a bit easier to decode what I scribble on paper
  4. Combichrist - This is my rifle (AK 47 mix) It's strange how different pieces of music can sound the same in a club while being totally distinguishable when on a responsible soundlevel on headphones... [edit] project pitchfork - renascence from the IO CD. [edit2] kellerkinder - lost happiness by duncan, dem alten wellingtoner/new zealander
  5. hehe
  6. tried to play aow: shadow magic, then the witcher, but no success. kinda can't play after hardly any sleep, two examns and work. can't do much else, either, not even sleep
  7. Soul calibur games are great, the best beat'em up in two player mode imho, but as I won't ever be having an xbox and no ps3 in the near future, this sequel isn't something I'm looking forward to. Yoda and Vader sure seem strange in this environment...
  8. project pitchfork - carnival
  9. Vanden Plas - Cold Wind This is from first prog metal cd in our household, "Beyond Daylight". Next in line are "Eon:Eon" and "IO" from Project Pitchfork
  10. brutal boxing match
  11. Judging from posting I quoted above, it is regarded as necessary to own one as soon as possible (or at all, as if one couldn't get old without a driver's license). If 17 is "as soon as possible" probably depends on your country's laws, in mine it would be illegal to apply for one if under 18.
  12. Ah, I love that album as well! David Bowie - My Death (live) *shiver*
  13. So one expected to own a driver's license as soon as possible, right?... On topic: That's probably nothing for me, except as a reader. Also, "Huttge Umgev
  14. Learning. I rebuilt my gf's PC (mainboard died) yesterday, so today I'll be extra busy learning for my examns in computer science and computational linguistics... Oh, and I defragmented all partitions of my PC this morning. It's actually noticably faster now when accessing the HD
  15. Happy news for you then: these games already exist :D
  16. Vast - Dirty Hole At last, the CD arrived [|:how many dead men god?:|] how many men have died? / in your dirty hole
  17. They're certainly not going to make traps more lethal. They made everything less lethal, so why should it be the opposite with traps? They think people want their characters to be invincible, so they work towards that: Give the people what they want to see. (However: The people != DnD players)
  18. Did they tame the bear fight? I will pay 10 bucks to see the polar bear fight as it exists in the book. Didn't read the book, but in the movie, it's not a very long battle, but physically, well... mutilating. Not for teh kidz (probably american kids will like it though )
  19. Yay, be sure you make the , was quite fun
  20. Reading neverending pages of theory about parody / satire / irony etc in literature...
  21. what complete **** I've seen "They" lately, was ok until the end, which made the whole film disappointingly weak. "The Others" on the other hand was great. I never thought I'd be able to enjoy a movie with Kidman in a leading role, but really, this film is very worth watching It wasn't scary, but just good. I've also seen a film adaption of a Wallander detective story (by Mankell), stories I quite like reading because of the mood and the characters, but as is usually the case with adaptions of books one's read before, it didn't quite catch either of the points I like about the stories.
  22. Agh, why are you two fighting over these issues? You're both for solutions in the matter of the topic, are you not? Why not looking for those instead of insisting on differences? It's not that you're of a directly opposed opinion on the topic at hand, from what I've read in this thread, so please...
  23. david bowie - life on mars? strange story told in ideal music structure
  24. Yes Wouldn't be a bad idea to google for reviews to make sure you'll be happy with what you buy, but all the components seem ok at first glance.
  25. Nah, if you're not overclocking, the $175 is wasted on the E6300. A 6000+ costs $145 at newegg and easily beats the intel one. Yes, c2d have the better architecture and are overclockable, but it doesn't make sense to invest more in a slower processor, however advanced it may be technologically It's a common mistake in the c2d-hype: concluding from an efficient architecture that any processor with "core2duo" on it is better than any processor with AMD branding. There are many C2Ds that are faster than many other A64X2, but the named one is just a waste of money imo, especially since you're on a budget (@OP) and are looking for the best price/performance ratio, which is quite poor for the e6300.
