Faith and the Muse - Denn die Todten reiten schnell [edit] Woohoo, Collide are finishing a new album- Books
- NASA discussing preliminary plans to build moon bases
Ah hell, as cool as expanding to space seems, I think humanity should first solve their problems on earth before expanding their conflicts into our solar system :/- The Music Thread
I like the artwork. Elbow - Ribcage (sounds anatomical )- The Music Thread
No, you are not. Agreed, definitely not Seeing it live (played by NIN) was an awesome experience though. Opeth - Harvest- The Music Thread
you lucky sod Bauhaus - In the Flat Fields Yeah, IF they appear, I'll be as happy as... well, very happy! I just hope they really will come, unlike Christian Death 1334 who apparently don't exist any longer (though Eva's writing style makes the notice about the end of the band a bit difficult for me to understand ) Fields of the Nephilim - Shroud- Olympic activism
I mirror this sentiment, and find that a lot of the people who sympathise with with the 'Free Tibet' plight actually know very little about either Tibet itself or the history that lead up to the current situation. I do know enough about Tibet itself (in its current state, not so much about the history) thanks to an ex girlfriend, who is a tibetian in exile and who spent half a year in lhasa (and dharamsala) during the time we were together. And I completely to sympathize with the plight to free tibet. Essence: No argument there I do not in all cases sympathize with any violence coming from the demonstrators, but again as person who has been to demonstration I know it's a) not the people demonstrating for the cause who are violent or b) the police used inadequat force first. Instrumentizing the media attention on china because of the olympic game is ok, just as someone stated above: Why not using it for something relevant, when companies use it for advertising?- The Music Thread
Oh, so new? Well, would be only another point to consider the 1000 pages of said slandering biography rather worthless Fields of the Nephilim - Last Exit for the Lost Argh, sooo looking forward to seeing them!!!!- The Music Thread
I sort of recall something about this Dylan - issue Lennon had from a much hated biography I once read (by Goldman or someone). I think it claimed something along the lines of Gromnir to have been the opinion of Lennon for some time, but he changed his mind on the subject later. Also, I like the struggles of artists vs. interpretation Gary Numan - Hybrid- Anime recommendations: Part 2

Comfortably Numb is one of these songs that sends shivers down my spine. Also, this inspired me to listen to Collide - Dreamsleep link or link, don't know about audioquality of these youtube-links, as that site is currently as fast as a snail on superglue...- NVIDIA 8 Family issues
Haha, my bad guessing that it couldn't be the processors fault Btw, I thought that an update for Win XP made the dual core optimizer obsolete quite some time ago... Anyway, glad it works now- Blondes vs Brunettes 2008 Edition
That would make my girlfriend an anime character... I prefer beautiful people, and many naturally blondes do not fall into that category for my taste. [edit] lol, who doesn't find people he finds pretty prettier than people he doesn't? I like this sentence- NVIDIA 8 Family issues
Huh? Spreading fud, are we? It really doesn't matter to your OS if your processor has two cores "glued together" (C2D) or two cores on one die (X2). Also, if the game was having issues with the dual core processor, this would likely produce different results than the video going pot, in the OPs words. I still wait for results, but video problems occurring after a certain time in game are more often related to overheating or ram issues, probably driver problems. So if setting the core affinity doesn't help, check your temps during gameplay.- The Music Thread
Ohgr - Solow Unexpectedly accessible, compared to some of his other stuff or Skinny Puppy- The Music Thread
Decoded Feedback - Breathe Love them!- What you did today
Huh? Since when are human females named "Krezack"? Sounds so manly...- This may sound silly but...
Oh yes it does, especially if said dog is a nuclear threat and tells me it wants to eat my never existant babyz!- What you did today
Well, if Walsingham was talking about you, I was talking about you. A few things speak against it: He would probably have mentioned mathematics and biology as her fields of expertise and he would also probably have mentioned it if she was a man Anyway, I'm working today and familiarizing myself with web development. The very basics are new to me... Learning XHTML, CSS, PHP and stuff specific to my current job, yeah I love learning new things related to programming, even if they're only new to me.- The Music Thread
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Red Right Hand- Your Top Ten Games
I don't know if there are ten games I played I'd call "top", but I'll try... In no particular order, though what comes to mind first is put first, so maybe there's an order still Planescape: Torment (no need or objective possibility to explain in short ) Baldur's Gate (getting me hooked up to DnD-CRPGs) Icewind Dale (most beautiful looking and probably sounding of the IE-games, kind of generic yet great narrative/narrator) Outcast (loved it at the time for variety, world and music, but don't remember too much of it nowadays, so perhaps it's only nostalgia) Vampire: Bloodlines (very intriguing, great moments, though not consistently) NWN2 (some of the best moments in CRPGs, like the trial and the fortress) + MotB (original, nicely demanding at times) Beyond good and Evil (original, cute yet serious) Disciples II (consistent cool art, good pacing and addictive) Baten Kaitos (original setting, cool story elements esp. in conjunction with baten kaitos origins) Zelda: Ocarina of Time (did almost everything right for me at the time) Others: Omicron: The Nomad Sould (see Outcast) IWD2 (for the rules and some areas) BG2 (for some of the art and certain quests) The Black Eye 3 (liked the setting, the fights and the music) Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic (spent and am spending hours with it) Warcraft 3 (render movies and parts of the story) Total Annihilation (being the first game bought from my own money, great music and strategies) The Witcher (beautiful areas, partly original) Thief Series (do I need reasons?) etc.- What you did today
But it might be contra-productive if you want to impress said physicist-pole dancer I got up at three o' clock in the afternoon today. Feeling quite relaxed now *yawns* There's not much work left to do, that's a weekend to love- This may sound silly but...
