  1. Yes, you are supposed to free T3, and if you already have your other NPCs in the party, tell him to meet you at the ship. Entering that room should trigger the pertinent conversation, what happens when you enter? Cloris
  2. Cool! When I watch television, I like to play "name the voice-over." A good voice, in my opinion, is more than just about its quality, timbre, or richness -- it has to sound like there is something going on in the head that voiced it (does that make sense?). Nikki Kat's got it (and how!), Greg Ellis has it, so does Tom Kane, Kelly Hu, and Roger Guenveur Smith (I recognized him from K Street, of all places!). Anyway, I'm rambling again... Cloris
  3. Yeah, but when you do get him to talk it's like dark chocolate pouring over ripe strawberries... Did I mention that I dig voices? Okay, good! Cloris PS: Anybody else notice that the actor that voiced Goto (Daren Norris) was Spottswoode in Team America?
  4. Bwaaaahahaha! Me?!? Nah, I am way too unhinged lately to be anyone's counsel. I had a life-threatening illness (that's me trying to aviod sounding dramatic) in December which I am still recovering from, so I'm a lot more likely to seek advice than give it right now. Thanks for the vote of confidence though! Any news on release? Eventually I'll be all recovered and whatnot *tentacles crossed* and won't have as much time for fun stuff... Cloris KOTORII: the best way to waste time during convalecence.
  5. Teehee! Except for a couple of games, my box usually get used for boring clerical miasma. *sigh* Cloris
  6. I have an NVIDIA GeForce MX 420, I believe. Unfortunately, ISP connections are my thing, rather than video, so I find myself to be not much more than a "user" in this situation. *sigh* Cloris
  7. I don't remember where (help would be appreciated), but don't the Sith consider love to be a weakness? Odd that they and the Jedi would agree on such a thing. Love is a feeling above and beyond biological drive, in my opinion. Sure, it can spawn jealosy, anger, betrayal -- but it can also produce self-sacrifice, understanding, and wisdom. The Jedi engage in acts of love all the time, so it seems to be the epitome of hypocricy to exclude romantic love from their lives. Cloris
  8. Physics = destructable environments. Woohoo! I think it would be great if you unleashed Force Lightning in say, an office-type environment, and all the light fixtures exploded. Or if objects were knocked back along with NPCs when you use Force Push... Cloris
  9. Isn't it Vrook that says it is lack of discipline that leads to the dark side, not how you use your powers? I think the writers are to be congratulated if people find it difficult to play the game DS -- that means that the atmosphere is immersive and the characters convincing. Cloris
  10. Rightfully, I can say that I don't really know -- the oblivious "it's just an opinion" thing doesn't quite fly in this particular case. By the time you posted, the thread was what, 26 pages long? So you knew good and well that these folks were volunteers, that the overwhelming majority of folks here supported their work, and that they were looking for additional help. So it was pretty obvious that you'd get blasted, even at your age. There are a lot of asssumptions that one can make about you now that aren't very flattering, and if you want to undo them it will take work -- more work than if you had thought carefully before lashing out in such a way. An offer to help might have gone over differently, and this situation would will hopefully serve you as a chance to learn such things. In any case, I will look forward to more from TRP, and only wish that I had a skill-set I could offer as help. Cloris
  11. High awareness is good too, especially when dealing with the droids on Nar Shadaa. It also can open up some conversation paths. Along with making it easier to avoid mines. Cloris
  12. I'm so greedy -- I tend to turn them both and then take them everywhere I don't have to take someone else! Cloris
  13. We could go on and on about whether or not other species can feel emotion, especially from a universalist standpoint, since we know so little about our own planet let alone others... But it would be academic, I suppose, and probably boring to boot. I have not read the novels, so what are you referring to above? Interested, Cloris Edit: Maybe we should define what we mean by love for the purposes of this discussion, what do folks think?
  14. We assume that other species don't feel love, hate, or other emotions; but I think we have to acknowledge that it is an assumption. Dolphins seek revenge, and are the only other species besides us that will fornicate for pleasure rather than solely for reproduction. I know my dog feels, as crazy as it sounds... She reacts badly when there's argument, she's content when she recieves affection, and she guards our children as if they were her puppies. Anyway, I would say that the Force is neutral in terms of emotion because it encompasses all emotion; rather than a phenomena devoid of emotion, which is what I think you are saying -- do I have that correctly? Cloris
  15. Glad to help, but I'm only passing along something I learned from all tech-savvy folks on these boards... Cloris
  16. Mine too! I've been a fan since Frank Miller worked his Dark Knight Mojo, and my head wants to explode anytime I try to think of what actor would be perfect as Batman. Keaton was crazy enough, Clooney was sauve enough, and Kilmer was just unstable enough, but there was always something missing -- which is probably because I want the guy to be everything. *sigh* I got to see a bunch of Miller's work at the Museum of Words and Pictures, that place is incredible -- if you dig comics as art, definitely make a trip out there. I wish they would make a film based on "The Killing Joke" though, that's one of my all time favorites. I think Bale will be great, I can't wait to see this one, Cloris
  17. Teehee! It was nice to see one character not fall for it, though. Cloris
  18. It's a realization like that which gives speculation it's value, in my opinion. Acknowledging the potential uselessness of such thoughts is what makes them useful. The Tao that can be described is not the true Tao. Or something, Cloris
  19. Bale was Patrick Bateman in American Psycho. He is is able to carry depth really well, I think, and will make an excellent Batman. *tantacles crossed* I think the trouble with the role is more with us than with the actors -- we all have a set idea of who and what the character should be, so it is hard to accept anybody in the role that commits any deivation from our own ideals. Cloris
  20. Just copy the contents of the Override folder into your Override folder in your ...LucasArts/KOTOTII directory. You don't need the source folder at all unless you want to investigate the changes that were made for the mod. I think... Cloris
  21. Oh, I can cast it just fine, but then nothing changes, even if I switch to to "look about" or "toggle free look" (which I tried once I saw that everything still looked the same). Steve, what is the feature that a video card needs in order to display this effect? Thanks, Cloris
  22. Sorry, didn't mean to make it sound like it was an SW-exclusive pet peeve of mine, it certainly is not! Joss Whedon earned my respect when his characters wouldn't call someone dead unless there was a body (or pile of ash) to confirm it and even then they knew it could be iffy. But SW was one of the last places I expected to hear such a solid, common sense thing, that much is certain! Good point, Cloris
  23. The soundtrack from Angel: Live Fast, Die Never. Cloris
  24. Touche, but she's an ex-Sith Lord, much the same as she's an ex-Jedi. Cloris
  25. A lot of mine have already been posted, but here's some others... Bao Dur: "I'll take the stupid one, who decided to threaten us rather than shoot us when he had the chance." Atton: "Run?!? I didn't run from you two schuttas last time, and this time -- I'm going to make sure you stay down!" "Yes, a great powerful stench!" Discipe: "I try to treasure these moments before the next crisis begins." (I feel like that a lot!) "Are you sure you need healing? You look good to me." Captain at Freedon Nadd's Tomb: "I hate the ones with a sense of humor -- Sith jokes are rarely pleasant." And this one, which I have been waiting for forever! "...Sith Master said something about a distrubance in the Force, against what they won't say. Well, what does that even mean? How do I prepare for that?!?" Cloris
