Does Overwatch have a SP story? Or is it just basically a shooter?

New Vampire game being teased by Obsidian?
GhostofAnakin replied to mkreku's topic in Computer and Console
I swear, some folks are just obsessed with everything being isometric. Reminds me of my mom whenever she'd go on one of her old people rants about how music in her day was so much better. -
What level or at what point in the story can you access Far Harbor? It's been since release date since I last played FO4, and I'm not sure if I bothered keeping any saves from my play through (I did some PS4 memory cleaning recently).

Trying to replay Uncharted 3 to finish off some of the achievements for the various guns, but man. I'm having a tough time. I don't know what it is, but I'm not finding it as fun to replay as I found the previous two games.
-
Yeah, I wasn't quite sure what the point of Ramsises (sp) the pirate was. He seemed to just be inserted into the story for the purposes of them adding a ship/ship graveyard chapter or two. I enjoyed those sections from a gameplay point of view. I was just a little lost as they related to the overall story.

Finished Uncharted 3. The story was great. Gameplay was fun. Not sure where it ranks for me though. It didn't seem to have the chuckle inducing banter that Uncharted 2 had. I'm going to go back and play some of the chapters to finish off the various achievements (ie. trophies and kills per various guns).

I don't need to look. I bet the ending feels shoehorned in and uninspired. Casey Hudson and Mac Walters are waiting for you when you exit the ride to kick you in the nuts.

Only midway through, so I can't comment on it as a whole. But so far, I'm enjoying the story. The one negative thing about the UC series, for me, are the sections where you're supposed to sprint away from something - whether it be a crumbling bridge or a collapsing tower or whatever - and they switch you to a "reverse" angle where you now have to run "toward" the screen. I hate it. It just seems so awkward and counter intuitive.

I started Uncharted 3. I finished the first two of the PS4 remastered versions, but was saving 3 for closer to when UC4 was going to be released. Then I got sidetracked and never got around to playing it before UC4 came out. So now I gotta run through it before attempting 4.

Hmm. The ending to the Division is rather abrupt and cliff-hanger-ish. I'm going to assume that the expansions or future DLC incursion missions will cover the lingering plotlines?

I wonder which channel this is going to show on up here in Canada. It was on Global, but was obviously the CBS feed. Might be moving to CTV (which is where shows like Agents of SHIELD, Flash, and Gotham are televised up here).

More mopping up in the Division. Some of these random items you have to pick up (cell phones, drones, survival guides) are in annoying spots. Like, you'll have to run around an entire city block just to try and find an entrance to a building because otherwise there's no obvious way to get to the item located on the third floor. At least it's not as annoying as those damn shards in Dragon Age Inquisition. Now *those* were some grade-A stupid level designs.

More the Division. Fighting that helicopter "boss" was giving me a headache until I realized I should just ignore the "helpful hint" and just finish it with my high-powered sniper rifle. First part of the fight I spent running around (and nearly getting killed) trying to use the turrets. Even when activated, they were doing minimal damage to the helicopter. So the second part of the fight, I found a spot in cover where the helicopter couldn't seem to hit me and just unloaded with my sniper rifle. It didn't take long to take it down. I had more trouble with the "sub boss" in the audience theater just prior to that fight, largely because they kept hacking my special abilities (seeker mine and turret) and turning them against me.

Nearing the end of the Division's main story missions. Also closing in on finding all the various items around the city (ie. cell phones, incident reports, etc.). When the game doesn't present me with those frustrating 8-second delay lags, it's quite addictive.

There are no quests or missions there. It's just a PVE zone with PVP elements. Kill and collect gear and then try to extract it. That's all there is to it. Also leveling up your Dark Zone rank to be able to buy stuff from traders in Safe houses. They have the best gear or blueprints that you can buy. Unfortunately, I have too much trouble extracting for it to be worth it. Either the swarms of enemies combined with lag cause me to die when attempting to extract, or idiot rogue agents who are higher level than me seem to linger around the extraction zones and kill me when I'm trying to extract. And to be honest, none of the gear I had at any point I was attempting an extraction was better than what I had in my inventory. Maybe I was unlucky, but I wasn't getting any good loot drops in the Dark Zone.
-
I've all but given up on playing the Dark Zone in the Division. Maybe it's because I solo-game, but all there is are random idiots who go rogue and pick on lower level players, or the occasional band of roaming NPCs you shoot for some XP. Unless I'm just missing it, I haven't seen any actual quests or missions to undertake in there.
-
I don't know if it has something to do with the server maintenance they did the other night, but the Division hasn't been laggy for me since the downtime. I'm able to actually play the game without every single combat encounter happening on a 5-second delay.
-
Oh, I understand why Obsidian does it. I'm just saying I'd like them to make games that I can play on my console and not on my crappy laptop. Three of my favorite Obsidian games (KOTOR II, FO:NV, AP) are ones that, it seems, I'll never ever see them develop that type of game again.
-
I agree with the OP. Reminiscing about the old IE games is nice and all in PoE, but I'd also like to reminisce about FO:NV and Alpha Protocol and KOTOR II. Plus, it would be nice to be able to play another Obsidian game on my PS4, instead of having to somehow use my POS laptop to play on.

The lag in the Division is getting to annoying levels now. I can't even log on to one game session without having to deal with major lag. Every side mission/enemy confrontation results in me having to watch my shots be delayed by 5 seconds before I know if they hit or not, and take damage from enemies that, on my screen, haven't even started firing yet. What the eff, Ubisoft? No other MP game I've played has had this amount of constant lag. Other games (CoD, Destiny, etc.) may have the occasional lag. But this is happening EVERY SINGLE TIME I log on.
-
I need to pick this up soon. I still have to play through UC3 though.

Last time I checked, you'll get money or experience for killing players and staying alive. PS: People should work together and hunt him down. In a group it is easy- the other player will always be somewhere your level, so absolutely possible to kill. Had a similar experience once, because when it comes to extracting the stuff, players suddenly turn blind and don't check their surroundings anymore. Kinda funny to watch, imo and totally screams for someone to get them. :> The problem is I'm usually solo-ing. So when one of these rogue agents tries to kill me, I have to face him alone. It just seemed kind of dumb. I had nothing of note on my person that he'd want to steal. So it seemed kind of petty. I could understand if I had some cool loot. It also seemed kind of cowardly that he was at the high end of the level for the area (19) and was going around targeting the lowest end (15).
-
Nice. I can start my playthrough sooner than I'd thought.
-
Did a BioWare employee make this mod? Looks like some kind of "gender barrier" statement they'd make.
-
Seems like the Rogue agents in the Division in the Dark Zone are nothing but idiots who pick on lower level players. One guy kept killing people near the extraction zone, for no real reason. I got killed by him even though I had zero items to steal.
