  1. I'm pretty sure I'm nearing the end of Technomancer. The combat no longer gives me issues, though I'm not sure if that's because I became better at the mechanics or because the enemies didn't seem to get any more difficult than the ones I faced at level 5 or 6 that were giving me problems. Playing as a rogue, so having the ability to use poison helps. Stab one enemy and poison them, then move on to the next while the poison damages the first. Rinse and repeat. I'm not sure how I feel about the companion dialogue. Part of me wishes that when you've already seen a dialogue response, it's no longer an option. As it is, I'm constantly clicking on dialogue options I've heard before in case they have something new to say. So far, the dude with the missing arm had the best companion sidequest. It's not the most polished of games -- the voice acting isn't very good -- but, just like with Mars War Logs, I'm enjoying it.
  2. I keep forgetting there's a pause button. Funny enough, I played again tonight and suddenly the combat is easy. And no, I didn't suddenly get better. I do the same thing -- dodge, strike, dodge, strike, run around like a chicken with my head cut off, dodge, strike, etc. -- but at some point between my character being level 7 and my current level 12, the enemies just ended up sucking. I can't help but laugh at the character names though. Hi, I'm Sean Mancer. This is my buddy Ian Mancer, and my other buddy Connor Mancer. Because, you know, we're technomancers.
  3. I must just suck then, because combat is kicking my ass on easy difficulty for the reasons I mentioned above. My companions don't seem to actually do any damage to the enemies. The best I can say about them is they distract one or two enemies if I'm facing a mob, so I can deal with the 3 or 4 others while 1 or 2 of them are pounding away at my companions.
  4. Playing some Technomancer. I don't like the combat for a variety of reasons. 1-It seems slow to react, causing me to over-react to situations. For instance, I press dodge, but it seems to stutter before dodging, causing me to press the dodge button a second time. Problem is when it finally does move, it dodges twice, so when I'm trying to actually go dodge->attack, it does a dodge->dodge->attack. 2-Interrupts don't seem to work well. I try and time it right, but like with the above, the timing seems to be off. So I'll go to interrupt the opponent's attack only to get smacked around because I'm doing it too late. 3-My character gets hit once by a nail gun and 3/4 of his health is gone. Meanwhile, I'm pounding away on my opponent with a combination of melee and nail gun attacks, and it takes forever to kill him. 4-The three different "stances" don't seem to do much. The shield staggers me as much as it does my opponent, so even if I block an attack I'm in no position to attack back. The dagger does no damage, so I'm constantly dodging and running into #1 above. And the warrior ... it's the worst of both worlds. It takes forever to attack if I'm far away, but it can't dodge either. 5-Being a technomancer -- supposedly a bad ass, doesn't actually feel like I am one. Even lowly scrubs seem to be able to handle my lightning attack, and then they just proceed to beat me up via #1-4 above. It's like if you're supposed to be a Jedi, but you get beaten up by an Ewok. That's how powerful my attacks seem to be. I don't mind the story. It's just the combat sucks.
  5. This is pretty much the only way I'll end up getting it. Especially if the system requirements are greater than PoE. PoE barely ran on my PoS laptop. And I'm not upgrading just for one game.
  6. Technomancer arrives either tomorrow or Tuesday. Can't wait to sink my teeth into it.
  7. I decided to go ahead and buy the Technomancer. If it ends up being a more polished version of Mars War Logs, I'll be happy with the purchase.
  8. Unless you played and liked Mars War Logs I wouldn't immediately jump on it. Hmm. I actually did like that game. It was clearly low budget, but it was a bit of a gem, IMO.
  9. Anyone played The Technomancer? The description says: "The Technomancer offers players dynamic RPG gameplay and action-oriented combat along four different skill trees, concentrating on three different fighting styles and the destructive electro-focused powers of the Technomancers. But brute strength won’t get you through every situation: conversational dialogue plays an important role in quests, changing the story depending on the decisions you make. Along your adventure, you will craft equipment, weapons and armor for yourself and for the companions you’ll recruit, nurturing relationships with these important allies. Confronted with the cruelty of mars’ iron-fist enforcers and alien wild-life, can you survive long enough to uncover the truth behind the Technomancer." I only saw it because I was browsing around for new games just recently released.
  10. I'm trying to get into Uncharted 4 to replay it, but I just can't seem to. I can't quite put my finger on what it is about the game, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the first two (I like it better than UC3 though). Maybe it's because the story seemed a bit too serious, whereas the first two didn't take themselves as serious so it was more about a treasure hunting adventure. Whatever the case, I might just put it aside for a while and come back to it when my itch to play a treasure hunting game returns. Maybe I'll try the latest Batman or play through the Witcher 3 with the two expansions now.
  11. Finally finished Uncharted 4. Fantastic visuals, and I liked that it seemed to have less gun combat and more focus on climbing/adventuring. A couple of the later chapters seemed to drag a bit, but other than that the story was great. The voice actors did a bang-up job. A nice send off for the characters. Better than UC3, on par with UC1 and UC2.
  12. More Uncharted 4. Probably about halfway through. I like it better than UC3. Seems to be more climbing/problem solving this time around.
  13. Finally got around to starting Uncharted 4. Way too early in the game to comment on it at this point, but the visuals at least look really nice.
  14. That Mass Effect Andromeda trailer was disappointing. It looked exactly like the trailer they first showed like 2 or 3 years ago. I thought this time they were hyping it up to show something of substance?
  15. I'm going to download Blood & Wine for the Witcher 3 soon, and then I'm going to disappear for the next two weeks playing it.
  16. Do you intentionally stick forks in electrical sockets just for fun as well?
  17. I only played it once. For whatever reason, it just didn't pull me in. I haven't tried it yet since the two expansions came out though.
  18. Die: Variable Charge Apparently my game is about batteries.
  19. In fairness, I've replayed BG more than any of the other IE games. But I've only actually finished it twice. I give up about a quarter of the way through each play through when every quest I encounter, I recall instantly how it will play out. I guess my thing is I'm more of a story guy. So different party formations for combat and such isn't really an appealing aspect of a game for me. The story either has to be really good (or just pulls me in for whatever reason), or there has to be significant changes to the stories/quests based on my decisions, in order for me to really be drawn to games.
  20. I don't know how y'all do it. The story doesn't exactly change noticeably if you make different choices. I can never actually get through new play throughs because no matter what type of different character I make, it results in pretty much the same path to the end.
  21. Some of these new armor pieces in Destiny are dumb. I deconstruct a helmet and get ... a yellow chroma? What? Give me my legendary marks, damn it.
  22. So many people playing Overwatch. I didn't realize there were these many FPS multiplayer fans on here.
  23. The Hunter class in Destiny got the shaft with regards to the new "super kill" power compared to the Warlock and Titan. Some of the bounties, like "30 super kills" or "kill 5 enemies in 3 seconds 5 times", are a piece of cake with the Titan and Warlock class. Not so much with the Hunter.
  24. Back to Destiny for a bit. I finished all the content in the Division (apart from Dark Zone stuff that I hate), and I didn't want to get invested in Uncharted 4 right now because my gaming time is a bit limited. Destiny's good because you can pop on for half an hour or so and just do the daily bounties without having to get too invested in the game or pay attention to what's going on in the story.
  25. This is the only vampire that matters.
