  1. Hello! I will soon be returning to pillars and hopefully finally finish it (or at least get past Maerwald) before December when POE2 releases for PS4. I want to do a talkative build that works well in a team (and solo? I dunno if there are many fights you HAVE to do solo) on POTD. Also, havin POE2 in mind, are there some creation choices from POE1 that highly affect conversations in part 2? Stats and build dont matter to me much, as I like pretty much all playstyles in these types of games Races I find the most interesting: Orlan, Aumaua, Godlike Classes i find the most interesting: Paladin, Cipher, Priest While I like slaves or scholars the most, I am open to other backgrounds. For geographic origins I have no preferences at all, though I guess Deadfire would have the largest impact in POE2? Any advice is much appreciated ;D

  3. Hi there! So I started up Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition on PS4, I created an elf character, selected Expert Mode, and was playing as her for a bit when I noticed some unpleasant differences compared to my other character, and checked out the options to see exactly what was different. Upon realizing that Expert Mode disables the ability to see what reputation changes happen depending on dialogue choice, I wanted to disable it! The problem, is that I can find aaaaabsolutely no way to do so. I cannot press the 'Expert Mode' button, pressing any button while over the 'Expert Mode' button does zilch, restarting the game does not help, trying to tick the different "helper" features does nothing, changing the difficulty does nothing, etc. Can anybody PLEASE help? I was under the impression you could DISable it, but could not ENable it! Am I just being stupid?

PS4 user here, thank you so much for bringing Pillars of Eternity to console! :D I've been playing a wizard for awhile and just started getting mastered spells, they don't seem to be working correctly or if they are I would really like some added functionality. The first thing that disappointed me was that the AI behavior seems to completely ignore the fact that these per encounter abilities exist, now this might be as intended... but another check box for mastered spells being used would be great in the AI behavior window. it would really be awesome if Spellsword Aloth would use his per encounter Concelhaut's Parasitic Staff in combat automatically. But that was ok I figured I would just put my mastered spells in the combat radial menu's custom slots. But that doesn't work either, when i attempt to slot the mastered spell it just slots the normal spell version and tells you it isn't in the grimoire if you don't. So to use mastered spells you have to dig through the radial menu every fight. I would really like to know if this is something that could be addressed in a future update or if y'all aren't making changes like this anymore. Also anyone else? Opinions?
  5. Hey guys, PS4 user here new to the game. So I went to an inn and selected retrain, for my main character. But after choosing the new attributes and skills the character sheet still displays the same stats. I've tried it three times at several inns and quit the game, restart, rested, but I can't seem to get it to work. Am I missing something here? I can't find anything on google about retraining so I thought I might find some answers with the vets here. Edit; I should mention that the cost for respec is subtracted from my gold every time, so it's not a cancel or anything. Edit 2; Allright i've found a bug report on this, so nevermind this topic. I'll wait for a patch.
  6. Dear Obsidian and other forum users, Some people requested I would let you know how Pillars of Eternity plays on console because you wondered how well it would translate to our tv's. I can assure you that this game is an absolute succes. Professional reviews have been raving and all the people I spoke to are really satisfied with how the game feels. I am a ps4 user myself and I wish to extend my gratitude and respect on a job well done porting this game so extremely well to a platform so vastly different from what it was originally designed for. I am very happy to know there is a company out there that takes porting as serious as Obsidian and Paradox did, to the great enjoyment of your new fans. I am not alone when I say we, the PS4 users, hope this is just the start of a wider array of Obsidian games coming to consoles. With utmost respect for a job well done, A happy customer.

I have been extensively testing the Combat Radial Menu (Right Trigger) in regards to using "Quick Items" to consume food items to buff your character prior to entering battles and came to the conclusion that it does not work the majority of the time (worked only roughly 10%-25% of time during my testing). I made a video where it only worked for Eder exactly 25% of the time (worked on poultry, but failed on meat, beer, and milk): https://twitter.com/Blackdeath_mage/status/904753602484473857 Note: Workaround (as shown near the end of the video)= using food items from the Character Inventory (Left Trigger) works 100% of the time. I hope the Devs fix this ASAP on PS4 since this is a pretty severe glitch due to the frequent nature in which it occurs.
  8. Is there any plan for Next-Gen Ports of Stick of Truth? I really want to play this game. I have stopped buying games for my ps3. I also do not want to use the PS4 streaming service to play this game. I know this game will not push the limits of next-gen consoles. I just prefer to play new games on the new system. With 6 million other PS4 users I'm sure a large amount of us are waiting for this game. Please be planning a port,
  9. Would the fine folks at Obi-Whatever please release this extraordinary game on PS4 so I don't have to get back my PS4 back from my sister's kid. It takes about 8 hours to port a PC game to PS4 so if enough people complain to them, they will probably do it.
  10. ***Okay so I must say that the only reason I made this thread is because I have seen far too many threads suggesting to make a Console Port etc.*** The fact of the matter is that I "invested" nearly two-hundred dollars into this project for a PC Exclusive game and nothing else. I do feel empathy for the console gamer's, but with a tight budget, Isometric CRPG origins/style/gameplay, and the fact that console licenses are skyrocketing through the roof right now due to the next generation being released means it would not only over burden these developers that are acting alone with no publisher, but would also give the industry another example of the death of true WRPG's. Those of you who promoting a console release need to realize that it would not be in Obsidian's best interest as a respected studio to do something of that regard. P.S Most of the fellow gamer's that are suggesting said course of action have not even played the vary Titles (BGI, BGII & TOB expansion, and/or even Planescape Torment) which their is no excuse as to why when I'm only fifteen and have played all of them (for hours).
