I'm so tempted to play the Witcher 3 again, with the first expansion. I'm just forcing myself not to because then I'll have to play *another* time when the second expansion is released later this year.

More Destiny. I finally played against someone even more hopeless than me. Poor guy went 3-15, 0-13 (not sure how he managed not even a fluke kill), and 6-17 (I guess he's improving) until he left the lobby. I also finally had a decent game, going 17-3 in my final match before leaving. Of course, it had zero to do with my rifle, which I still hate with a passion. I got 8 heavy weapons kills (sword; they just kept running at me as I ninja'd around a corner) and 6 special power kills (including a 5-kill streak during one). One was also a grenade kill. So even when I do exceptionally well, I still only get around 3 kills with the rifle.

More Destiny PvP ranting incoming. It's just, I'm absolutely baffled about how my character seems to die so easily, yet the opponent seems to take forever to die. A new example since I've been using my Titan. With Hammer of Sol, whenever my opponent activates it he seems to be able to run right in the open and mow down anyone who shoots at him, taking almost no damage. I've seen an enemy kill 5 of my teammates without them taking him down, even though they're each unloading on him the entire way. In comparison, I've been killed by ONE enemy who continuously fired at me while I was throwing hammers around. At best, I'll kill a couple of enemies before someone easily takes me down. The same is an ongoing thing with regards to charging at enemies. I'm a Titan. I'm supposed to have this deadly charge. Yet it never seems to work. By the time I run up to an opponent, he's killed me with repeated shots. In contrast, whenever an opposing player charges at me, even if I've got a chance to shoot him 4 or 5 times, he still seems to have just enough health left to then melee kill me. It's not my equipment. Level advantages are off, and in any case, a lot of times it's an opponent at a lower level than me. I just honestly don't get it. I don't think I've ever played a game that's actually made me long to play CoD MP again just so I can remember what it's like to actually get a kill in situations where I see and hit the opponent with a shot first.

Iron Banner is up and running for the week in Destiny. Which sucks because I'm totally over the PvP mode, but can't help but get sucked in because of the loot available in the Iron Banner. I actually did well for a few games today. The Titan class character with that flaming hammer is quite potent, especially when your opponents clump together. On the flip side, I still can't find a rifle I like. I used one to moderate success today (auto rifle with decent damage), but the only games I actually did extremely well in were the ones I somehow managed to activate my super power twice, and cleaned up with like 4 or 5 kills each time. One last negative about the Iron Banner is you get zero faction gain if your team loses. So if you're unlucky and get stuck with horrible players for multiple games in a row (like I did), you can do well and still end up with zero reputation gain with the Iron Banner.

It still amuses me how random shielded wizards or yellow ogres give me more trouble than the Taken King Oryx himself. I'm playing through the Taken King as a Titan in order to open up all the end-game stuff for him, and I'm having more of an issue with just random cannon fodder than I am the actual "boss" fights. Gets hit by a random sniper fallen taken = health down to almost nothing, screen blinking red, no cover and must avoid enemy even sneezing on me. Gets hit by Oryx = shields go down, hide behind huge rock spread throughout map, regenerate and attack.

Destiny's PvP mode makes me angry. I don't think I recall a game whose MP bothered me as much as Destiny's does. Maybe Halo. Then again, I only played Halo a couple of times because of the fact you had to shoot enemies fifty times to kill them. I don't understand how people find that fun. Guns should kill. If you get the drop on your opponent and shoot him first (or twice or three times), you should win.

The auto rifle and pulse rifles in Destiny's PvP suck. I'm not even a fan of the scout rifles, but they're so much better in PvP simply because you don't have to shoot the enemy 10 times to kill them. Two or three head shots and they're done, as opposed to empty a clip into an enemy with an auto rifle only to watch as he kills you in 2 shots.

A few months away from what I've heard. [insert Darth Vader scream here]

How is it? I was interested in the game around launch time, but all the reviews for it seemed to be poor.

Is Blood and Wine out yet? I'm so tempted to play through again, but I just don't want to have to do *another* play through when B&W comes out.

Me when I gain a rank with a faction in Destiny --> Me when I receive the reward and see it's a bunch of useless crap half the time --> Seriously, I spent all day playing the new Prison of Elders mode because I was oh-so-close to reaching the next rank with Variks. But then when I finally reached the next rank and went to pick up my reward from him, it ended up being a bunch of random crap (20 spin metal, 20 helium element, 2 primary telemetry and 2 special telemetry). So not worth the time put into it.

I tried to play a bit with my Titan character in Destiny. It ended up being a bit of a chore because I'm not done the main story with him, so I can't do stuff like patrol the dreadnaught or do all the various activities you receive after beating the Taken King. He's also not leveled up all the way, so a lot of his class abilities aren't maxed out. Maybe I'll finish off the Taken King story with him tomorrow so I can do that stuff. But, man, I wasn't a fan of some of the story missions in the Taken King.

I don't think so. Best you could do is get a couple of friends to play in a rumble match (free-for-all) and have them let you head shot them. The problem is the others in the lobby will just kill you or your friends if they're just standing around. Also, none of my friends play Destiny so even that wouldn't work for me.

This Imprecation hand cannon quest is ridiculous. 7 head shot kills in one PvP game? Haha I'll be lucky to get 7 kills with that gun, let alone head shot kills.

It doesn't say what role they had in TW2 and TW3, does it? For all we know, it could be a bunch of beta testers.

The Bloody Baron questline is one of the best I've played in a RPG. It also branches out in different directions, depending on the choices you make throughout the various segments of the questline.

On one hand, I hope they take their time and make it the best possible experience they can. On the other hand, I'm impatient and I want it released now.

Ugh ... I don't get the mentality of some players in Destiny's Crucible PvP. We're playing skirmish, and we're off to a really good start because we're all grouped near each other so it makes picking off the enemy easy when they rush at us 1-on-3. Then suddenly mid-game one of my teammates decides he's just going to run around the map by himself, and lo and behold, we start to lose because he keeps getting killed and the enemy is now outnumbering us. Do people not realize that you actually get more kills when you play as a team? You certainly get killed *less*, since if one team is coordinating attacks, it's rare for one enemy to be able to kill one of your team before the combined fire from all three of you finish him off.

I hate having a random good game out of the blue. It gets my hopes up that I finally found a gun that works for me, only to then get my ass handed to me the next few games. Maybe it was fluke, maybe my opponents just happened to suck, or maybe everyone else in the lobby had bad lag and my connection was perfect, but my last game of PvP in Destiny saw me finish first in the lobby and by quite a large margin. I was killing enemies in like 2 shots (something I rarely can do) throughout the entire match, head shot after head shot, even when there were two of them on the map and both were trying to shoot at me before I finished them off. Hopefully I've found my hand cannon of choice. Good impact, great stability and range, and has a perk that explodes enemies I kill with a head shot, so anyone around them gets a bit of explosion damage and makes them easier to kill.
-
I honestly don't know how other players do it. Playing some Destiny PvP and using a hand cannon to finish off a challenge, and I can't get kills. It seems like I need to hit the opponent 4 or 5 times to kill them, yet I swear they're killing me in 2 shots (one to take down my shields, the next to finish off my health). I'm even aiming constantly for headshots, and it still doesn't seem to make a difference in how much damage I do to them.

Slowly getting bored with Destiny. All I'm doing is the daily bounties now, and that's getting repetitive. Guess it's time to give The Division another crack.
-
Do the levels even matter in PvP? Now that I'm high level, I kind of wish that level advantages weren't disabled. Bad Juju's a pretty good gun, but it still poses the same problem I have with other guns of its ilk. It doesn't do enough damage to finish off the enemy before he kills me in two shots. Its "bonuses" (reloads upon kill and increases in damage upon kill) only help if you actually get a kill first.

So I ran around the Tower all night trying to find Xur, only to find he's on the Reef this time. So stupid. I don't even know why they make him show up in different locations. It serves zero purpose.
-
I should give The Division a second chance. I'm getting a bit bored with Destiny, but the Division didn't really pull me in the last time I tried to play it. So it's not exactly making me want to give up on Destiny at the moment.

It's like there wasn't already a thread about this.
