  1. I always seemed to somehow end up with no party members having fire/acid arrows or fire/acid damage weapons. :/
  2. I was tempted to pick up No Man's Sky when I was out today, but Wal-Mart didn't have it in stock. I'm in no rush so I'll just wait until the next time I'm out and about.
  3. Does it feel fun to explore, or do you get the impression it could become kind of boring after a while? Everything gets boring after a while. I can see this doing so, too. But I'm still enjoying hunting down monoliths, learning the languages, and trying to improve my stuff. If you can find a planet you think is beautiful, that can hold you for a while. And that's also something of a continuing draw. Is there actually any combat? Interaction with other characters (NPCs, not human-controlled)?

  5. Play it again. You'll get a vastly different ending to fret about.
  6. No Man's Sky gets released tomorrow. I'm on the fence about buying it. I wish I had a bit more self-control about throwing money at games I'm only partially interested in, and instead wait until they drop in price.
  7. Don't pick on me because I stopped playing. Gosh.
  8. I ignored any gear that was below yellow or purple.
  9. And those are the exact reasons I hated playing the PvP parts of The Division. I also had the added bonus of having to deal with major lag. So imagine your frustrations, then magnify them by having to deal with 3 to 5 second delays between you taking a shot and the shot actually registering.
  10. That's disappointing to hear. I liked the original three films. ----- I watched the Avengers for the first time tonight. I actually saw Age of Ultron first, but I think I enjoyed this one better.
  11. A crazy guy on a power trip and a compulsive liar. Those are the best two America could find to run for President?
  12. ^^That's another one of my peeves about Destiny. It forces you to play co-op in a lot of the activities, but does not provide for you an actual match making system to find people to play with. The Raids, for instance. I wouldn't mind tackling those. But I don't have more than 1 friend who actually plays Destiny. It would have been nice to have match making so I could find some randoms to do stuff with. On a separate note, I think I actually preferred Mars War Logs to Technomancer. I don't know why exactly, but the story drew me in more.
  13. I often feel that way on here.
  14. I ended up hating the fact you had to co-op to do most of the newer activities. I prefer to be antisocial. Games don't seem to cater to me anymore.
  15. Weird timing of it, then, if the bolded is one of the main reasons for it. If the forums were going to be shut down due to negativity and relentless abuse toward BioWare, they should have done so after ME3's release.
  16. Hahaha. That's just ... odd, to be honest. Now where will people go to discuss whether they'll be able to romance a Krogan in the next Mass Effect?
  17. Did you forget how you slaughtered the rest of his minions? Do you think he has unlimited resources? In fact the fight just before you get to him was fairly tough IMO. Would have made more sense if he, somehow, was responsible for that leviathan showing up (ie. whatever he was doing "awoke" it). Or if he set a trap where he lured me into that hallway to chase after him, but jumps through the door and locks it, leaving me on that bridge to face the leviathan. At least a]it would have made sense for me to fight the leviathan at that point, and b]would have showcased his ingenuity, even if the fight with him after the leviathan was rather weak.
  18. Made sense to me, why should he be so powerful by himself? It's just to take the sweet, sweet revenge. I mean you're a Jedi, and what is he? That's kind of the point. He was supposed to be crafty, manipulative, able to control people to his way of doing things. Yet all he could convince to help him fight me in a straight up melee battle was two brutes? He didn't have a plan on how to face me to offset the obvious "power" advantage I had over him? How'd he end up in power in the first place if he's that dumb?!
  19. It was the only real boss battle in the game. It just felt so weirdly out of place. Unless I missed something earlier, there was no significance to that boss battle. It's like they just added it because every game apparently needs to pit you against a giant alien creature before the end of the game. At least the previous semi-boss battle just prior to that made sense from a story perspective. That one was sort of like "wait, why am I fighting a giant creature that there's been no mention of in the lore?" Niesha said there must be some really bad mutations at the pole when you first get there, but may be it depends on which companions you have. There are giant mutations throughout, so why is this one out of place? Also you fight a similar boss in the Mars game. I had Scott and Amelia in my party. Only cutscene/speech I got was Scott talking about his research. I guess it just seemed weird to have that one show up as the final fight, while the fight with "you know who" was done in such a throwaway manner. The guy is supposed to be your nemesis the entire story, then suddenly his fight devolves into your random 3-enemy fight sequence. It just felt a bit out of place. It would be like at the end of Return of the Jedi, Luke takes on Vader and the Emperor, then after that fight is concluded he's attacked by a giant space slug as he's flying away from the exploding Death Star.

  21. Finished the Technomancer. Overall, I'd give it a 7 out of 10. Likes: -Story was decent. Not great, but solid and kept me interested throughout. Though the third chapter kind of got boring. -Choice and consequence. Things changed depending on what choices you made. -Setting/atmosphere. I'm a sucker for RPGs set in that kind of sci-fi backdrop. -Party member backstories were pretty cool. Dislikes: -Combat. It got to be okay, but there was still something about the controls that irked me. -Uneven quality of the story. Some good build up to big events, but then the payoff often times felt like "that was it?". -Loot. My character used a gun and knife he got very early in the game right up until the very last boss battle because no better loot was ever dropped. Loot seemed to be an after thought. -Final "boss" battle. I don't even ... like, what? Why they chose THAT as the final combat encounter is beyond me.
  22. Just wait until you have to go back and forth through Ophir's Underworks. There's a group of soldiers that seem to respawn every single time you enter and exit the zone. It's not really a difficult fight, but it gets tedious. I never bothered with Stealth. Only the rare time I'd try it, but generally I'd just engage in combat since 90% of the time the enemy seemed to spot me anyway. At some point you'll be able to remove teammates from your party. I've never bothered because they serve their purpose as meat shields.
  23. I'd love to see Obsidian do a sci-fi game as well. Hopefully they can find a publisher that'll give them the funds to do one that isn't just PoE in a sci-fi setting.
  24. Nearing the end of the Technomancer. Some of the cutscenes could use some polish. Or editing. Or whatever would fix the following interactions that go from anger to playfulness between two companions. A bit immersion breaking.
  25. It was okay. I didn't enjoy it as much as some others on this forum did. Decent enough action game with some RPG elements thrown in (character skill points). The PvP was crap, IMO. More frustration than fun.
