Bought NHL16 for dirt cheap (the new one just came out). I have a love/hate relationship with hockey video games. I find I can never get the perfect balance in scoring. It's either near impossible to score, or I can score 7 or 8 goals per game with ease. I can't seem to find the middle ground to mirror actual hockey.

This is what happens when I get distracted doing all the side quests I come upon in the Witcher 3. My character's now level 16 (soon to be 17) as I finish off main quests that are designed for level 12 characters.

I played the first one (are there more out already?) and found it meh. It's basically just another side mission, but one that didn't have much of a payoff. I'm also confused about where it fits in the overall story. Plus, they took away all my augs. It should have been part of the main story, or at least a post-game mission carrying on from the events in the main story.

It is my favorite Obsidian game, even with the combat system. Ah, the good old days when Star Wars games were actually fun and had stories rather than pew-pew CoD in space.

I liked it. Maybe it had more to do with them at least attempting a different setting.

More Witcher 3. Geralt is leveling up too fast. I'm almost at level 11, and I'm still on the main quest in Velen where the suggested level for it is level 6.

Why does Hearts and Stone (sp) show up right away in my quest log when I arrive in Velen, but there's no mention of the other expansion Blood and Wine (sp)?

I forgot how ugly some of these armor pieces are in Witcher 3. Half of the ones in my inventory make Geralt look like he's wearing pajama tops. On the plus side, I'd forgotten just how engrossing the world feels.

I'm trying to be faithful to Triss, but it's oh so hard (pardon the pun).

I always get sidetracked playing Gwent. I'm such an awful father-figure. The Wild Hunt is chasing my daughter around, and I'm busy owning people in cards.

You mean as opposed to the alternative where Witcher 3 respects and reacts to your decisions so perfectly? :-P Well, one character seems to not appear if you go with the default W2 import, and there's a pretty cool quest associated with the character that I'd like to be able to do.

I ended up just re-starting. I want my own choices for how the Witcher 2 played out, so I might as well bite the bullet on wasting 4 or so hours this time, rather than playing through 80+ hours only to be disappointed that my Witcher 2 outcomes weren't included. And since this isn't my first time through, I'm meta-gaming a lot more this time. I want to ensure a certain outcome with regards to Ciri. I'll have to make multiple saves because I'll probably screw up one or two of the choices along the way and have to re-visit a save to fix that.

Damn it! I wish the Witcher 3 was more clear when you're given the option of selecting whether or not to import your answers for Witcher 2 or just let the "default" answers take place. I wanted to chat with that dude and set up the events of Witcher 2 my own way, but I got confused by the wording at the beginning of the game and apparently selected the one that just goes with the default. What's horrible about it is the questions come so later on in the game that you're literally like 4 or 5 hours into the game before you realize you screwed up. Ugh!

Started a brand new game of Witcher 3. I'm guessing it's going to be awhile before I'll be at a level to take on the two expansions.

Just played and finished Desperate Measures. I'm confused about what part of the story it's supposed to take place in. I'm also confused about:

I'm thinking of buying a new wireless router. Maybe that will fix my crappy connection issues. I just don't know what the good ones are.

You're confusing me with someone who isn't computer retarded. I wouldn't have the first clue how to troubleshoot my Wifi issues. My entire method of trying to fix my router or modem issues? "Unplug/plug router and hope it works".

My internet is being such a bitch. I don't know if it's my router, or if it's my PS4 wifi. Half the time now it doesn't seem to want to connect, and the half it does connect the upload/download speeds are ridiculously slow.

I went ahead and ordered the Witcher 3 complete edition. I already had the base game, but hadn't bought the expansions yet. Between the fact I like having the expansions on the disc and not saved to the harddrive, plus the fact my internet is making it difficult to even download crap, I figured why not.

I was hoping there would be more content associated with Aria Argento instead of just a bit of dialogue stuff.

Can't seem to get the Jensen Story "Desperate Measures" to start up. There's no actual button to press that loads it.

You don't *have* to do a lot of hacking.... All the emails, all the terminals, all the missing xp from not hacking, etc. Like Gorgon said, New Game+. That way you don't have to worry about those extra XP you'll miss out on if you don't hack everything you see.

Finished my second playthrough of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. The end credits didn't change much, other than mentioning the above. I did get a mention this time of a break in for the Palisades bank. The ending still feels incredibly unsatisfying. They might as well have ended with a "To be continued ..." screen.

I really wish I'd found the killswitch. I'm not looking forward to the Marchenko confrontation.
