  1. I guess I was one of the lucky ones. I never had any technical difficulties with KOTOR using the latest patch, aside from some graphical issues that I was able to resolve by turning down some features and getting a certain version for my Radeon card. It would crash occassionally when loading the different areas, but I saved often enough and it happened rarely enough that it wasn't really an issue.
  2. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Contrary to a few people in this thread, I'd welcome a game set in the post-RotJ era. For those of you who didn't like the NJO, that won't affect the game or storyline in the least. The NJO will effect the story just as much as the Clone Wars novels are affecting KOTOR. In other words, they aren't.
  3. dismemberment, perhaps. no blood or gore, which is what more "violence" ala Fallout entails. and aside from Windu chopping off Jango Fett's head, no other decapitations either.
  4. NBC's broadcast has been hilarious with all their technical problems. The commentators often can be heard speaking when they believe they're still on commercial or off the air. One of the gymnastics commentors could be heard asking "was that a bull**** score?"
  5. No. This is Star Wars, not Starship Troopers.
  6. I'd settle for an epic scene for either ending in which it's about a 5 minute cutscene, ala the original trilogy (ceremony on Yavin, Luke/Leia on medical frigate, celebration on Endor) type thing as long as it coincides with what happened in the game.
  7. maybe the more this topic is posted about, the sooner the release date. Come on, people! all we need is about 5 more threads about this exact same thing and the game will be released the first week of September!
  8. do you have a link to this interveiw? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think he's correct. I could have sworn i read it in a magazine preview, either the PC Gamer one, or the Computer Gaming World one from like May.
  9. I just hope that when there is "new info", that the "new info" doesn't happen to be LucasArts announcing TSL is delayed by a year.
  10. so instead you're just an old man with a green hello kitty avatar.
  11. you changed your avatar. at first i thought there were now 2 grumpy old men posting here
  12. I didn't really notice, to be honest.
  13. I'm still psyched about the game and visit this forum (and other SW related ones) daily, hoping for new information.
  14. The only way a game would revolve around the Jedi Masters is if it was the opposite of TSL, where you're a Sith and you're doing the hunting of the Jedi and therefore are searching for the remaining Jedi Masters. Otherwise, as has been stated, it'd be a pretty boring game, since Jedi Masters tend to sit around and contemplate the universe most of their time.
  15. ^ atleast you saved me from going out and buying this month's issue.
  16. Because I don't want to see games made that far back before KOTOR. It's a personal opinion obviously, since I have no say in what is developed and what isn't. But my opinion is that there's a lot of timeframe AFTER KOTOR to use, so why not use it instead.
  17. No way. I don't want a game that's set before KOTOR. There's plenty of timeline available between KOTOR and the prequel movies, and there's an infinite amount of timeline after RotJ. Do them there.
  18. I agree. If they decide to do more games in the Old Republic era, do so with original characters, such as they did with Revan and Malak, rather than using already known characters who already have a backstory.
  19. you missed the point of my thread. my point was that if you join Sion (thus become DS), you would not only have to fight against the Republic and Jedi, but also the other 2 Sith Lords and their factions. If you turn Sion down (choose LS), you'd still have the Republic and Jedi on your side and only had to face the Sith. My point was if you go DS, you'd have TWO enemies and no friends. If you go LS, you'd have ONE enemy and ONE friend.
  20. Good point but you say that turning him down would make the DS easier, how is that possible? if you join sion then surely the DS becomes easier as you will have sion and his followers AND the republic on your side, i mean why would the republic need to know you had sided with sion? remember old palpy? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I didn't say it would make the DS easier, I said it would make the DS harder if his idea was implemented, unless there's a typo in my post I didn't catch.
  21. You sure that was a bug? I have the PC version and never once encountered that.
  22. I was hoping there would be "dark side-specific" crystals we could use with the Sith lightsaber to make it powerful, and that only DS users could use it (much like a few of the LS/DS specific items).
  23. Wait a minute. First you say you want them to make a prequel about Revan, then you say that you'd rather see a game without Jedi and Sith and Force users? Your two suggestions kind of contradict each other.
  24. Not a bad theory, but there's one thing that I thought of that might keep Obsidian from this type of path. That is, the difficulty of playing DS then. If your scenario is correct, then that means that Sion is our opportunity to join the Sith. Assuming we agree to join him, that means that playing as a DS character, we'd not only have to fight the Republic and any scattered Jedi, but also the Sith who are loyal to the other Sith Lords. In other words, we'd be fighting against BOTH sides. Whereas if we turn down Sion's offer, we'd only be fighting against the Sith, since we'd still be loyal to the Republic and the Jedi. That's not to say that I wouldn't like this idea. I just think that Obsidian might want to steer clear of making the DS harder to play through than the LS.
