It's already been stated that there are two teams working on the games. And the bigger team is still working on TSL and will switch to NWN once they're done with TSL.

nightclever's post got me thinking (although probably off-topic) about what constitutes an expansion pack and what constitutes a full-blown sequel. the problem is, most of the time, couldn't one be interchangable with the other? a sequel (atleast what I perceive as the definition) is a follow up story to the original, sort of continuing the timeline and keeping continuity. but then isn't that what an expansion pack tends to do? is it the number of new features that separates one from the other? new graphics? new characters? to be perfectly honest, i could care less if TSL ends up being more or less an expansion pack to KOTOR 1, as long as the story makes for an interesting game. I thoroughly enjoyed KOTOR 1 and as long as I get my new story and some new and improved features (which appears to be the case), I'd dish out my cash whether it was a full blown sequel or just an "expansion".

I was a bit disappointed. I was hoping for some new info, but it was basically 4 pages of summarizing what we already know, with maybe one or two tidbits of new information thrown in.

I think some people take this "general discussion" a bit too literally. ps. for anyone who intends to make a post about it, let me save you the trouble. i do not want to hear about you: 1-Going to play baseball with friends 2-Buying a new pet turtle 3-Being grounded because your parents are meanie-heads 4-Going through gender-based "puberty" events 5-Favorite food/drink/tv show/movie/actor/etc.

Maybe we're not giving Bastila enough credit and soon we'll find out, much like Senator Palpatine, that Bastila has been manipulating events the entire time. Let's look at the facts: 1-It was Bastila who lowered her battle meditation and allowed the Endar Spire to be attacked. 2-We didn't actually see her escape in an escape pod, we just took Carth's word for it. For all we know, she flew that one person fighter she had at the Temple down to Taris 3-Brejik acted as her R2-D2. He kept her lightsaber safe and hidden until the right moment: when you (Revan) show up and she can "conveniently" join your party. And so on and so on. I think when KOTOR3 comes out, we'll see Bastila reveal herself as THE Sith Lord and Revan will be her "Darth Vader".

And if they had made Force powers much stronger, or made enemies less immune to them, people would complain how easy it was to just go around Force Lightning the enemies or whatever. As it is, people already complain how easy the game is. Now you're complaining that those "weaklings" shouldn't be immune from Force powers.

I pretty much envisioned it the way it's happening. Although, at first, I thought we'd be using Revan again since I figured it was a sequel and whatnot. From the previews I've seen so far, it looks like it's shaping up to be a great game. But until I know more about the storyline, I can't really say whether it's met my expectations or not.

Akari, If you found out through the grapevine that Feargus and Avallone were gonna give you the pink slip soon, do you know enough about the story to tell all and really go out in a blaze of glory?

She explained it. Using a Force power such as Battle Meditation takes a lot out of you, so she was in a "weakened" state when the Vulkars took her. I don't know how plausible an excuse that is, but she did give one.

I hope LA starts revealing new information so we don't have ten thousand of these repetitive polls every day.

That actually clears up a question I've wondered about for a while. I was under the assumption that Obsidian did their part, and then passed along the product to LucasArts to do their part (meaning LA didn't get started on their part until Obsidian was 100% complete theirs). I didn't realize that both Obsidian and LA were able to work on their various parts simultaneously.

Advertising, voice acting, musical scores, packaging, and whatever else LucasArts does once Obsidian passes it along.

Akari, a 2-part question if you will: 1-Percentage estimate, how far along completion is TSL from Obsidian's point of view? 2-What "functions" or "items" does LucasArts do once your (Obsidian) part is done? For instance, do they just do the advertising and voice acting? Or do they still have to do any coding or technical stuff like that?

I think even if it's mixed up, the answers would be quite obvious. answer 1: can i please have some information? answer 2: give me the information or i will kill you! I think no matter which order you put those two in, and how many others you separate them with, it's still obvious which would lead to DS and LS.

I agree with a couple of those responses and just don't have the patience to write out my own. So we'll stick with those reasons as to why the original post is flawed.
