  1. This thread went far.
  2. He seems more bitter and angry than I pictured him to be. I guess that's what happens when you design games for rabid fans.
  3. I've never been able to get in to it. Not because of some pseudo-male egolomaniac reason, but just because from my perspective, the interaction with the NPCs didn't appeal to me. The only reason I did it in KOTOR 2 is because of the different NPC party member you get so I could attain the Disciple's story.
  4. You honestly think it'll ever be out of peoples' systems? Revan's fanboy/girl following is quite immense and probably will never just let it go until there is resolution.
  5. I know this is taking your quote a bit out of context, but.... If those are the two most important things you want improved upon in KOTOR3, then I don't think I'd like the game if they catered to you. No offense or anything, but improved lightsaber combat and hoods would rank way down on my list of what would make K3 a great game.
  6. Too many quotes makes the Obsidian boards mess up the quote trees.
  7. In hindsight, I think the main problem with Revan and what to do with him is the fact that if they (the collective "they" of all the people involved in the KOTOR series) wanted to base the story around him or make him an integral part, they should have planned better and made levelling him at a slower pace possible so he could be the PC for all 3 games. That, to me, was the only plausible way that Revan could be a big part of all three games without having to mash together an incoherent story just to insert Revan's name in it. Since that wasn't the case, Revan needs to become a "secondary" character, rather than a prominant NPC. The moment they levelled him up too fast in KOTOR I was the moment he went from being "Luke Skywalker" to "Yoda", and from here on out it's probably best if he's only used as a Yoda type character (not really central to the story, just there for the odd cameo of advice and/or confrontation). Truth be told, I have no idea what the best storyline would be to wrap up the "Revan" saga. I'm not sold on the idea that it would be best to just kill him off, and I'm also not sold on the idea of having Revan be such a focal point as a NPC or whatever, either. Thank God I'm not the one writing the story for KOTOR III (if there is one).
  8. Short stories about Visas Marr and Darth Nihilus eh? Sounds interesting. At the very least Nur should be happy, since he seems to enjoy his comic books.
  9. Selective reading much? I can re-type what I said in CAPS if that's what it takes. Lucasarts is in charge of deciding if there is going to be another patch. Even if Obsidian wanted to do one, they can't unless Lucasarts says they can, and can only patch the items that Lucasarts wants patched.
  10. I guess you didn't get to the part where the Force bond isn't actually lethal, eh?
  11. Ask Lucasarts. They're in charge of saying if/when another patch is warranted.
  12. You know what, that's true. Why does the video game industry seem to take more flack for always portraying "beautiful" characters as the stars, when movies have been doing it since way back when.
  13. Not to mention Darth Maul and General Grievous. Both turned out to be disappointments (Maul because of how short his part, Grievous because he looked stupid and acted like a coward).
  14. That's my belief for a lot of what Kreia tells you. It's HER concept of the reality around you, not necessarily what is the ACTUAL reality. Anyone who takes what Kreia told you (or any of the other in-game characters for that matter) and says "see, that's how it is" isn't differentiating a character's point of view from the actual game point of view.
  15. It's probably been said already, but I think KOTOR did it better though. They seemed to flesh it out and it made more sense in KOTOR than in NWN, IMHO.
  16. You probably overwrote your other saved games. You're supposed to switch profiles (I believe it is the X button) to save different character profiles, otherwise you're just constantly writing over whatever save you had before.
  17. Ah, but you made it sound like an early release was primary on most peoples' wishlist. That's not really the case. In a perfect world, yes I wanted the game ASAP. HOWEVER, I did not want it ASAP if that came at the expense of a completed product, and I doubt I'm alone in that. In other words, if Lucasarts said (yes, this is an impossibility since no company would actually say it, but just for argument's sake) "we can have the game out in time for Christmas, but it may be buggy" or "we can make sure the game is 100% complete, but it might be delayed". I don't see many people picking the former. Which is exactly what implying people wanted a rushed release would pick.
  18. Nice. Gives me something to do while I'm busy wasting time doing nothing.
  19. Other than raving fanboi/fangurls, I don't think many people wanted the game rushed for Christmas. Wanting it soon, but good quality and finished, is different than just wanting it NOW.
  20. To do things different or side with different factions? Create a different character build?
  21. Depends what system I own at the time KOTOR III is released. I'll vote then.
  22. I don't think you're alone in that view.
  23. Why would they? I've played both versions (PC and XBox) and ran in to zero problems with either. I doubt I'm the only one. So while I don't doubt that quite a few people had some issues with their game, sometimes even unplayable, why should they re-issue a game that for most people worked adequately.
  24. Which means we're going to be seeing hundreds of these KOTOR III speculations/rumors/etc. threads in the meantime. <_<
  25. More than likely Revan will be wearing his/her "trademark" outfit, with the face mask and hood so gender won't be a physical problem. I think the tricky part, like you said, will be a voice.
