I enjoy a good game of pazaak once in a while. Especially when I win.

It has for the current XBox. I know some people who have the older one have more "technical" issues with newer games than those who own the newer Xbox.

Did you read the excerpt? Because comments from Mace like "He's too strong for me" don't sound like something a guy would say when they're "wiping the floor" with someone.

Ehem. I DID post the excerpt at your request, but apparently my effort went unnoticed. Judging from the people who still insist there's no evidence to suggest Palpatine was "faking", I guess they didn't read the excerpt from the novel either. I'd say it's pretty good proof when it changes Nurb's stance from outright refusal and saying anyone who thinks Palps was faking is wrong, to now saying it was a "stalemate" (his version of admitting he could be wrong).

That fits my plans anyways. I rarely buy a system right away, not just because of the price, but also to see how stable it is and how other customers react to it. Now this extra bit of news adds to my reasons not to buy right away.

Hopefully you didn't take his comment as anything more than either a)someone being sarcastic or b)a troll who has no clue what he's talking about since (and no offense to the restoration people) they haven't even developed a game yet, while Obsidian's is selling quite well and has garnered quite a bit of critical acclaim.

I've never argued against that so I'm not sure why you're disagreeing with my comments. In fact, I pointed out the fact that Revan is a big part of the story and events of the KOTOR series, but the series is not Revan's story. I originally quoted a guy that stated that the KOTOR series would be ruined if they didn't make Revan the PC because the KOTOR series was about Revan's story. That's simply not the case. So you either agree with me, or you contradict your own comments which I quoted. You can't have it both ways.

Saying the KOTOR series is "Revan's story" is wrong though, despite that stuff you wrote. Revan had zero impact on the actual events that happened in TSL. Revan wasn't the one who killed Sion, Nihilus and Treya. Revan wasn't the one who calmed the political strife on Onderon. Revan wasn't the one who found and gathered the Jedi Masters on Dantooine. The EVENTS of Revan's life are big parts of the overall story. Just like the EVENTS of Darth Vader's life will always be a big part of the Star Wars EU. But the stories themselves aren't necessarily about them. I don't think you're understanding the distinction I'm trying to make. Just because events Revan was involved in or caused to happen are mentioned and have SOME effect on the stuff we encounter in TSL, doesn't mean the entire story of TSL is about Revan.

That's different than what the official novelization said. In there it said Yoda realized he cannot beat Sidious and that the Jedi had been too stagnant in their teachings and it would take a different way of teaching (ie. the way they trained Luke to be more of a warrior) in order to defeat the Sith.

I've just browsed a few of the pics in this thread but one thing caught my attention: Are all the artists female? With the ambiguous usernames it's hard to tell, but from what I've noticed all of them seem to be penile-deficient. What's with that?

KOTOR isn't about Revan. It's about the Jedi Knights of the Old Republic and their struggle against the Sith. If it was about Revan, then KOTOR 2 would have had him as the PC, but it didn't. Kreia's motivations weren't about Revan. The Exile's motivation for seeking the Jedi Masters weren't about Revan. The political crisis on Onderon wasn't about Revan. The main focus of the story was how the Mandalorian and the Jedi Civil war affected various people. Revan was involved in that, but so were a bunch of people. You could argue just as much that the story was then about Malak, since he's the one that destroyed Telos and Dantoine, making those worlds unstable. Revan's part of the story was only highlighted at the end to give the story some "where did Revan go?" oomph to it. The vast majority of the story itself had to do with the characters' past and how they were dealing with it. Saying the KOTOR series is about Revan is like saying the Star Wars EU novels post-RotJ were about Darth Vader. He's mentioned a lot, his actions are commented a lot, his affect on the galaxy is remarked upon. But each individual novel in the EU, while mentioning the above about Vader, were NOT about Darth Vader. Same with KOTOR. Revan's actions are mentioned, Revan's actions have long lasting effects, but the STORY is not about Revan.

On my later play thrus I tend to just ramp it down to "easy" setting on Malachor. Not because the planet gives me trouble, but just because I want to get thru it as fast as humanly possible since, aside from the conversations with Sion and Treya, the "story" aspect of the game is pretty much done.

I played thru as grey. Apart from not being able to choose a prestige class, I didn't really notice much difference. I ended up with Force Choke anyways.
