I liked the Mako, though the planets were about as interesting as Oblivion's randomly generated dungeons. The boss fights in DXHR and the Witcher 2 both suffer because they feel so different than the normal gameplay. I'd prefer it if they were optional content. I like patches, especially large ones. 80% of the time, I'm finished with the game by the time a patch hits however. The Witcher 2's combat wasn't fun for me. I don't get how people who hate button mashing disliked DA2 but thought TW2 was deep combat. If TW2 comes to XBox, that's cool. More money for the developer, and I liked the game enough that I'd like them to put out another one. A few times while going down ladders, I fell through the floor and ended in this dark space under the world. I also had a few CTD and sometimes when I loaded a saved game, it broke stealth. That said, it was playable most of the time.

*downloading* I hope this lasts longer than my Ultima game. Are there any add-ons or updates for it?

I thought Oblivion's combat was fine. What would you prefer?

I have. I have also heard that dinosaur bones are the work of Satan and that if humans evolved from monkeys then we should have records of modern monkeys giving birth to humans. Do most Christians believe this? I would hope not.

It looked like Fallout:NV with snow and green plants. More importantly, they've added better animations to people walking around town and doing various things. Fur/hair still looks fake, but that's minor. I'd say the only thing that really bothered me is that it felt a bit shiny in places. It seems as though they're not bothering with major/minor skills and letting you level up however you desire. That's an improvement. Depending on how they handle attribute increases, a lot of the annoyance I had with Oblivion's leveling would be fixed.

There are many people who believe in God but don't believe that the Bible is literally true. A literal interpretation of the Bible would mean that the world is an approximately 6,000 year-old disc with heaven hovering above it, and that if you built a high enough tower, you could walk from earth to heaven.

Ouch, Gfted got me. That originally read 'less than five times that of Earth.'

Potentially habitable "Super-Earth" is among 50 newly discovered exoplanets HD 85512 b is a rocky planet about 3.6 times the mass of Earth, located right at the edge of its star's habitable zone. That means it's capable of supporting life... and the early results suggest it's a very real possibility. It's one of 50 new exoplanets discovered by the HARPS team at the La Silla Observatory in Chile, which is part of the European Southern Observatory. This is the largest number of exoplanets ever discovered at one time, and it brings the number of confirmed exoplanets up to about 600. (The Kepler Space Telescope discovered 1,200 exoplanet candidates at one time, as opposed to confirmed planets.) Recently, HARPS offered some of the most damning evidence yet that Gliese 581 g, the first rocky exoplanet discovered in its planet's habitable zone, does not, in fact, exist. That's the culmination of months of controversy about the planet's status, and it leaves Gliese 581 d as the only known potentially habitable exoplanet, albeit one that enjoys far less ideal conditions than Gliese 581 g theoretically would have had. But HARPS has found us a new planet to make up for the loss of Gliese 581 g, which could well be habitable. HD 85512 b is one of five planets discovered by the HARPS team whose mass is more than five times that of Earth. That puts it in the Super-Earth category, a type of rocky planet that is up to twenty times the mass of Earth. Although there are no such planets in our own solar system, they appear to be very common elsewhere in the galaxy. HD 85512 b is the only one of these five rocky planets to be located in its star's habitable zone. The preliminary measurements suggest that its average surface temperature could be 77 degrees Fahrenheit, which would give it a very pleasant Mediterranean climate

I was totally calling people who own banned dog breeds terrorists. Don't worry though. As a bleeding-heart liberal, I think terrorists should benefit from due process, so I won't be sending those pit bull owners to Egypt to get their genitals electrocuted.

Yes. I adore crab. And by that I mean I want to kill it and stick it in my belly. Depends on the type of crab, the time of year, and the crab's age. I'd argue that freshly caught King crab is the best tasting crab available. This random article agrees, so you know I must be correct!

Crafting systems in offline RPG's
Maria Caliban replied to Hassat Hunter's topic in Computer and Console
Crafting! I tend to like craft and repair systems, but they need some things to make them worthwhile. For example, I need the ability to easily carry, store, and sort many items. I need to have access to a set of basic schematics that I can access at any times. Either because I get some with whatever skill I level up or because schematics are easy enough to find or buy. Lastly the items need to be useful, powerful, or interesting. -
It has the worst combat mechanics of any game I've played because the developers insist that the game be 'lethal' while 'conforming to lore.' If you're wearing the best armor and buff up on health, you can still die in one hit. Not a magical hit, no, just a regular swing of a mace by another exalted character can kill you. There are four magical 'perfect defenses' and that cost mana to use, so what happens is that combat quickly becomes casting a perfect defense and auto-attacking. If your opponent also has a perfect defense, they'll do the same, and whomever starts with the most mana will always win. All those other combat powers become useless because they cost mana. Outside of combat, it's a fun game.

In the US, you'll probably want to pick up Blue mussels. Those are in season during the winter and early spring. Depending on where you live, there might be specialty fish shops with better selections. Sorry got sick.

1) Tea Pary - Yes. 2) Veterans - No. 3) White people - lol, no. 4) Pro-lifers - Yes. 5) Global warming skeptics - Replace that with Creationists, and you'd be right. 6) Gun owners - No. 7) People who own unapproved of dog breeds - This is an interesting one. If you own a pit bull, Rottweiler, or doberman in a city or county where those breeds are banned, you're probably not the type of person who should own a pit bull, Rottweiler, or doberman. And anyone who might vote for someone other than Obama - You seem to be forgetting the independent, socialist, and green party candidates.

I tried to play a bit of Ultima IV and it's rough going. The earliest RPG I have played is Quest for Glory 2: Trial by Fire (1990) and the SVGA version of Quest for Glory I. This came out in 1985 and boy does it show. It's difficult for me to play with graphics like these.

I ended up with "Sacrifice" which is apparently "Tinker."

I thought the biggest users of LAN were those Korean Starcraft tournaments.

I am hesitantly interested in Skyrim and the next Heroes of Might and Magic (now titled Might and Magic: Heroes). Ohhh. Thank you for saying this. I had no idea it was available for free. I've never played an Ultima game before. Edit: So I made my GOG account, noticed that Ultima 4, 5, and 6 were available for 5.99. Edit 2: For those looking for the reference card for Ultima 4 - Ref Guide Edit 3: And the magic guide is missing page 8, the full scan is available here - Magic Guide

Finished Limbo. Nice little trial-and-death side scroller.

Oooh, Tale loves the game. What do you love about it? What about the SP was excellent?

There's a reason Game's Workshop focuses much of the fiction on the Space Marines and Imperial Guard. GW has worked to create alien/non-humans that aren't just humans with funny foreheads and they feel that most writers would dilute that if they created a story from a non-human POV. I can't help but be sympathetic to that. Most of the books, movies, TV shows, and games that feature non-humans make them seem like humans from a different culture. Do you think Relic could do an Eldar or Tau PC justice? <-Non-rhetorical question That said, the focus on the Space Marines also annoys me. It's difficult to sell me on a GRIMDARK setting when war is awesome and you get to play a technological superman. I'd love to see a game focused on a soldier in the Imperial Guard. Something by the same studio that did STALKER would be great.

Has anyone played this? Is it any good?

Root canal + semi-permanent filling. Will need to get crown in next year or so. Local is starting to wear off and my jaw is throbbing a bit. The dentist proscribed an antibiotic, but I think I'll take a nap before heading to the pharmacy (chemist)
