Hmm.. Malon owes someone an apology.

I was wondering if anyone had any C or C++ books they find useful. While I've been using Java, I haven't programmed in C since high school so any good introductory book titles would be appreciated as well.

I can accept that in our culture many men might enjoy the image of two half-naked women psudeo(sp?)-wrestling but... why in mud? There's nothing sexy about mud and there's a great deal that's unsexy. It's dirty and it would get in your eyes, mouth, and hair. It's usually cold, slimy, and if you're wrestling in it you're as likely to fall as you are to stand.

I would hope that a single person writes a single romance. As for how it is written, romance lends itself well to the classical plot structure and most people have absorbed thousands of romances from literature, movies, and television. I would assume it's based on those with whatever appropriate creative obstacles the writer can come up with.

That's the reason the board is so slow tonight. Ender is taking all of my bandwidth! A great deal of what I enjoy and look forward to in a game wouldn't be shown in a 20-minute movie. The graphics of a game mean little to me though the look can sometimes influence my opinion.

A gangrel Prince? I'm surprised the blue-bloods went for that. I was talking about a Dragon-blooded CRPG. Though you could still get off your butt if you so desired. I've DMed in the past and I'm of the opinion that if you don't have strong sadistic or masochistic urges pushing you towards it then it's not a good idea.

I like the idea of unarmed combat but find it to be somewhat unrealistic. Hitting someone with a sword, blaster, lightsaber, mace, or spear is always going to do more damage than a punch or kick. However, there might be times in the game in which you can't use your weaponry. I always found it amusing in the first KotOR that I ran around with my lightsaber drawn followed by an assault droid and a Mandilorian packing heavy weaponry but no one ever complained.

And why would I want to be more "one three three seven"? Lost Straw, Spelling Buddy you back. I would a Exaulted: Dragon-blooded game.

I think I know what he's getting at. In Wizardry 8 you press the 'w' button to go forward and if you press down the right mouse button at the same time you can use the mouse to steer. When you release the right mouse button the cursor pops up on the screen again so you can interact with the environment. If you wanted to do the same thing in third person you'd just lock the camera behind the back and the movement of the mouse would turn the character left and right.

E3, a film that will just make it that more unbelievable that Luke "I am a weenie" Skywalker resisted his father's power.
