Man refuses to drive 'No God' bus
Yes, but what percentage of atheists do so? It's one thing to say that some atheists show the same behavior and mindset as some fundamental and/or evangelical religious people - which I agree with - and another thing to say that atheism qualifies as a religion and that all atheists manifest faith. For me, there

Planescape's 10 year anniversary...
BG 1 = boring. I've never finished a game of it. Planescape: Torment is a good game, but what makes it great is the way the setting and the plot merge.

What are you playing now?
I'm playing 'reload WoW + BC' and 'download WoW patch 2.4.0.' So far, I've enjoyed 5 hours of patching.

Tabla Rosa is free until end of February
Was finally able to register account. I downloaded the client, but whenever I try to run it, it locks up my computer. Annoyance. I assume it

#$$#%*)@%!! Still can't sign up. Of all the stupid. Oh well, at least I didn't buy one of their games before I found out I can't create an account.

Tabla Rosa is free until end of February
Did anyone start a thread on it? I can't seem to create an account. It just tells me to 'use a valid password' though my password is of the appropriate length and has both letter and numbers as instructed. I'll continue to DL the client - it may provide an alternative method of creating an account. Do you have any specific thoughts or criticisms in regards to the Tabula Rasa?

Tabla Rosa is free until end of February
For those of you who don't know, Tabula Rasa is slated to close as of February 28, 2009. Until that time, the company is letting everyone play for free on the offical servers. If you're interested, all you have to do is create an account here, and download the client here. (~3GB) I have no idea if the game is good (I just heard about it five seconds ago) but thought others might be interested in trying it out before it shuts down.

A rather good summery of the game.

Man refuses to drive 'No God' bus
Hmmm, I know a number of atheists and many of them give to charities and volunteer their time for good causes. They just do so with groups that don't have anything to do with religion.

Man refuses to drive 'No God' bus
I've always disliked the idea that people *must* take sides, and the sides they take are pre-determined and unchanging. They didn't cop-out; as a business, they don't believe in theism or atheism, but capitalism. I don

look at this dnd image
Better yet, keep playing 1e, it's still the best for roleplaying. Or better yet, get World of Darkness, it's even better for role-playing.

Any good games coming out?
You know I'm getting it. Trapping people in rooms with no exits so they die of starvation, getting everyone to fight and woo-hoo, and setting the house on fire - these are a few of my favorite things.

Any good games coming out?
If you manage all three at once I'd be very impressed. Make sure you have next of kin post pics. So would I. Or, rather, my drooling, decapitated head would be. Perhaps it was a bad idea to drive so soon after entering a persistent vegetative state. Whatever the case, they could keep my headless body attached to life support as I come to term and maybe my spirit could enter the child

What are you playing now?
If the original game has achievements, the PC version ought to have them as well. Finished TQ on normal and then farmed Hades a few times. Did not get the key. Played Left4Dead more on Normal and was able to finish mercy hospital. I was doing very well until a smoker grabbed me and then while I couldn

Sonic
I think many of the current layoffs are due to the depressed US economy. I haven't heard of any Japanese developers getting the axe. I don't understand what's wrong with the gameplay shown in that video. Can you be more specific? Speaking of which, that trailer felt incredably Japanese to me. For some reason, I had flashbacks to the openings for 1990's anime.

EA Closes One BioWare/Pandemic Studio
That pop-up in the lower left-hand corner is very annoying. I soon expect a return of the <blink> tag in html, as even 'professional' websites have decided that the porn sites of the 90s strategy of so-much-blinking-****-the-viewer-can't-look-at-the-actual-page was brilliant design.

Any good games coming out?
I doubt it will be out before late-2010. That's too far away for me to hit the 'anticipate' button. I go on a roller coaster ride and have a capillary burst in my brain *this summer* causing a hemorrhagic stroke that leaves me brain dead. I could be decapitated in an eight car pileup on the freeway. I could have a kid. Any manner of horrible things could happen to me in a two year

Mass Effect 2 to appear in GDC
I think Aristes did an excellent job of explaining my point. Far better than I. I would not suggest otherwise.

Mass Effect 2 to appear in GDC
The only geth that did nothing but stand still was the armature. Yes, player skill is more than clicking on the screen. That's why I specified a kind of skill. And yes, with auto-aim, you still had to aim. Moreover, you had to aim at things that weren't in your immedate field of vision. The view point of diablo (third person isometric) meant you had a much large field of view. Yes, something could run up to you quickly, but nothing could run from your field of vision and still attack you. Whether your hit connected or missed had far more to do with your attributes and stats than it did your ability to track something with your mouse on the screen.
