  1. Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator load faster and searching for files is easier. On the other hand, you can't touch the hardware acceleration and the UAC is a pain.
  2. How powerful you are for the main planets depends on how many UCW you've done. I will say though that a 30 + level soldier can easily stand in the middle of a firefight for long periods of time soaking damage.
  3. Iron Lore, the company that made the Titan Quest series, folded in Feb 08. They were working on a game called Black Legion. Former Iron Lore employees created Crate Entertainment, bought the rights to Black Legion, and have recently sent out demos to several publishers.
  4. ME gave you not one but two girl-on-girl sex scenes with blue alien chicks. KotOR only gave you a one-line
  5. I picked up something called 'Space (2) Rangers.' Are you ready to write the years 3300? I am! Fable *urgh*... It looks better on PC... And that's about it. If Fable 2 ever comes out for PC, I
  6. 1) Healing potions - nope 2) Fireballs - check 3) Whirlwind attack - unknown, but they have shield bash.
  7. That is correct. It's not enough to make me want to play the game again though.
  8. ME 2 will likely be better than ME 1. I liked ME 1 enough to play it at 3 FPS and I'm a fan of BioWare, so I'll likely buy the game when it comes out for PC.
  9. [aside]Pidesco! Pidesco! Pidesco! [/aside] Someone posted this in the BioWare forum earlier and I thought that it might be of interest. I asked the developers to confirm the information and Priestly said they weren

  11. Or better yet, get 4e.
  12. So are romances, NPC conversations, and all side-quests. Only about 15% of many western RPGs isn't optional. Really, many times when I play an RPG, I do so for the optional contant. Fallout 3 is a great RPG (for me) but the main quest is boring; it's all the other stuff I like.
  13. I believe the most common complaints about level design in Mass Effect are the use of the same
  14. I wasn't aiming *at you* I was aiming *with you.*
  15. Amen and pass the rolls. I believe the art director of DIII said they wanted to place the player in a different environment every 15 minutes and show them something completely new every 45 minutes. It
  16. I may be wrong, but doesn't this seem confusing? Wielding magic is a *natural ability* that comes in late childhood... So why can't Fighters and Thieves use it? Do they lose the ability once they choose a profession or something? Or are people already born with classes? Within Ferelden (which is not all of Thedas) the Circle of Magi takes children who show magical abilities from their parents and teaches them to use magic. Those who are unable to control their power or who show the wrong attitude toward magic are Tranquiled (magically lobotomized). There are nations other than Ferelden that may do something different. There are apostate mages (non-circle mages) and hedge mages (managed to hide from the circle) but DA only has one mage origin: Circle Mage. The reason a thief PC couldn't be a mage is that the Circle of Magi doesn't teach thievery or how to wield weapons. Now, as a mage levels, they can pick up lockpicking (it
  17. Jade Empire 2? Planescape: Redemption? Vampire: Dark Ages?
