OK. Which one? If you go for PvP server never ever roll alliance, unless you want to experience most retardedly immature type of general chat that was ever in an multiplayer game, that being said alliance on PvP is 15 years old on average. On PvE or RP server you get very mature community on both sides... What a load of.. The maturity level of both is about equal. If you're on a PvP server, you will quickly learn to loath the other side because there are always immature **holes, and part of the way they get their kicks is making other people's lives harder.

I'm not disagreeing with you. On your first run through, it's unlikely you'll have enough cash to keep up with class skills + proffessions + lewt. Especially now that you can get a mount at level 30. (my level 68 pali still doesn't have her epic mount) What I mean is that while that's merely aggrivation when you're leveling a second or third or fourth alt, the first time, it's not that bad. Being dirt poor when you play your first character adds to the maschoistic fun that is world of warcraft.

I've died so many times in Stranglethorn Vale, the spirit healer at the graveyard has phone number on speed dial. Listen, once you start Wow, you'll become an addict, so just pick PvE first, and when you want to know true horror, try PvP. That said, having someone give you gold is awesome, but I wouldn't do it for your first character. The amount of pain and suffering your first character gives you is directly proportional to how much you find yourself fondly thinking about how awesome that character was. To put that gold in perspective. As a level 30 character, if you have 60g, you're rich. Making 1,000 a week doesn't happen for a long time.

You've got me grinding my molars here. It's very hard to read your post as anything other than dripping with condescension. Your use of the terms ‘trite’ and ‘hack’ are particularly unflattering. Let’s start with the music. It’s ‘bombastic’. I click on the origin page and get one woman singing in minor key in elven. It’s rather unbombastic. There’s an orchestral section that follows with some horns. I’m guessing by bombastic you mean ‘it has drums and brass at the crescendo.’ Now let’s listen to the actual origin music. Dalish Elf: sluggish, low, with very little pitch variation. Mage: sounds a great deal like Deliarria’s theme. Dwarf Noble: Yah, yes. Highly rhythmic, dominated by booming percussive and what I assume is a tuba. Dwarven Commoner: A groaning piece (can’t identify the instrument doing that, might be human voices) with steady drums in the background. Alienage Elf: Shares an oboe with the Dalish origin, light piano, but dominated by strings. Human Noble: Fits best what I’d consider a ‘high fantasy’ Lord of the Rings sound. Out of the seven pieces, one is bombastic, and one has a bombastic crescendo after a very moody and slow beginning and middle. Interestingly enough, nothing matches the level of bombastic in, say, , , Jade Empire, or Knights of the Old Republic II. Yes, the music is bombastic if you’re comparing it to the Moonlight Sonata. Now cringe educing writing: The writing is rough, uneducated, but robust. But I’m not being fair because that’s the best piece of writing of the lot. Let’s try the Dwarven Noble It’s exposition, which typically lacks emotion or flavor. The majority of the origins are exposition, and I can understand why you’d dislike that. Is it cringe inducing? The worst bit is the last sentence with its clich

Use a private server. Alliance. The Horde are ugly. (The Horde *are* ugly? The Horde *is* ugly? The Horde races are ugly.. )

She's a real bitch during that time of the month. (What a cheap joke. I almost feel dirty.) Kerrigan > Nippless plant lady Well we haven't seen what kind of character the plant lady is. Although we could probably take a guess and wind up with exactly what Bioware thought as well. She

Mass Effect It's much better now that i have a new video card (thanks Bodishki!) and runs at more than 5 FPS.

I so agree with you.

BREAKING NEWS: DEAD RISING 2 ANNOUNCED
Maria Caliban replied to Llyranor's topic in Computer and Console

She's a dryaid. The things with her are werewolfs (which are wolves possessed by demons), so I assume she's a type of demon.

I've never picked up an Ubisoft game that I didn't find very polished. I assume you're familiar with the Prince of Persia games, with which this is obviously a cousin to. As for AC - I have it on my PC right now. It's beautiful, but as others have noted, repedative.

Of whose general opinon do you speak? Is this what the devs have said? The developers have said nothing like that. Read my post again, I never atributed those words to the developers. Read my post again. I never said you atributed those words to the developers. Crash Girl asked a question and I answered. ME 2 will be out for PC. I think this is the last game they develop with the PC primarily in mind.

No. Also, what exactly is so bad about DA animations, for those who say so? I'm just curious, since I didn't notice much. 1. They're slow. Everything looks very lethargic. 2. The walking/running animations are strange. Watch the way the mage sort of waddles forward, so sometimes the fighter seems to skate across the floor. 3. I'm not fond of the color pallete in use and the dominance of brown and neutral tones. I prefer something a bit more vibrant like Diabo III, especially as I'll be playing a great deal of the game from an 'isometric' perspective. I assume the reason they have the baddies bathed in red jelly/large selection circles when you mouse over them is that otherwise in a large fight, you wouldn't be able to tell your teammates from the enemy. That said, BioDevs on the forum have talked about those problems, pointed out that it's still a work in progress, and that the latest build addresses some of those issues.

You don't particularly like BioWare games. BioWare has announced a new game that seems to be like their previous ones. You're not excited or interested. Sounds quite reasonable to me.
-
Hmm.. I disagree. I enjoy BioWare games. BioWare is coming out with a new game. My interest seems quite reasonable. If one of your favorite developers announces a new game, don't you get excited?

They have posters for each of the six origins. Another BioWare forumite at NYCC took pictures of them: Human Noble Elf Mage (can be elf or human mage) Dwarf Noble Dwarf Commoner Alienage Elf And there's the Dalish Elf one on the website itself. Of whose general opinon do you speak? Is this what the devs have said? The developers have said nothing like that.

I'm not saying that I want cinematic third person cutscenes, but it feel really awkward when all the awesome characters are horribly compensating for that fact that you never say anything. There has to be another way. In general, a silent protagonist is fine, but for emotional scenes, watching that mute head nod silently tends to hurt the drama of the moment. Edit: Wait, we're not talking about an RPG, but a FPS with a predefined protagonist. In that case, yes, full VO is always better.

Has there been that much of a change in FPS since 2004? It seems TPS now dominate the market. The last 'big' FPS I can think of was Far Cry 2.

Believe it or not, a lot of times people dislike things because they dislike them. Especially as one gets older when the need to express coolness through disdain disappears entirely for most. Except on the internet. Actually, I run into adults in their mid-forties and fifties who express hostility or dislike for things they know little to nothing about. Example: not too long ago, I saw a TV spot for a politician. The woman beside me said that the governor was 'the worst thing that had ever happened to Nevada.' When I asked her what he'd done/hadn't done, should couldn't tell me *one thing.* She didn

Is that even physically possible? Wait - let me rephrase that. Is it even physically possible to do that by accident?

It's Ninja Scroll. Every moment is EXACTLY the wrong time for one's mother to find one watching it.
